03/09/2024: The context: Tuesday September 3, 2024 10 p.m. in the rain. The setting is simple but effective, the front/veranda is really pleasant for eating outside even in the rain. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and my companion chose a 5 cheese pizza. Considering the Google comments and knowing that I am demanding by nature, I came with some reluctance. So I favored simple dishes. Despite everything, it was very good and without any false notes. The pizza is particularly good! The pizza dough is thin but not brittle, very good tomato sauce, just the right amount of crunch. As for the pasta, the cooking is good, like everywhere in Italy ^^ and the taste is also very good. 2 dishes, 1 sparkling water and 1 espresso for €24.5! nothing to say, it's unbeatable.

18/01/2025: Ieri sera un gruppetto di sei signore ci diamo recate con prenotazione nel locale di Corso Lecce. Cibo buono, discreto servizio ai tavoli, nella zona toilette migliorabile la fruibilità (scarico non comodo e funzionante con la giusta pressione). Peccato la poca disponibilità nell'accogliere la ns richiesta di suddividere i conti. Preciso che eravamo sei e non trenta persone. Tra di noi non avremmo avuto occasione di rivederci per eventuali sistemazioni di resti. Abbiamo osservato una rigidità gestionale che è parsa più frutto dell'incapacità di far di conto, unitamente a svogliatezza che a vere esigenze gestionali. Lo dico a ragione veduta in quanto ex cassiera. Il tempo di replicare seccamente con dei dinieghi avrebbe potuto essere impiegato a fare sei, e dico solamente sei, conti separati. L'aver obiettato che lo avremmo messo in difficoltà con la direzione del locale (non c'era alcuna coda o avventori oltre la metà dei posti previsti a sedere!) molto ha contribuito a far cadere le braccia circa le capacità gestionali. A volte ci si perde per davvero poco. Ricordiamoci che i clienti sono sempre dei portatori sani di ricchezza.

20/10/2024: Bel ristorantino con vista monti.polenta e funghi e polenta ai formaggi ben cucinate.unica pecca:dose minima di polenta. Se ci fosse più polenta a tavola si potrebbe dire ....tutto perfetto! Molto gradito l'amaro offerto a fine pasto.personale simpatico e gentile

Returning to your street, and knowing the exact address, you finally see that the address corresponds to some small glass doors on one of which the name of the restaurant is written in two or three cm high letters. .. at this point you notice a small sign, attached to the wall, where it is repeated with strange characters that would delight a paleographer, which, deciphered, reveal the presence of the restaurant there... on the door there is no menu or , let alone any price indicated... and at this point you notice a sign on the pavement, like an easel, which informs you of the possibility of a fixed price menu without indicating the contents of the dishes but only of a generic first course followed by second course etc. . and the total price... Finally entering, we are greeted by the scent of bleach which reassures us of the hygiene of the place, but which does not make us imagine the delicacies and delicacies that we could hopefully expect. Bare, cold environment (radiators turned off in almost mid-November, so much so that we ate with our windbreakers on). Fortunately, this frost is warmed by the friendliness of the landlady and the dishes she brought us, even if the spaghetti (very al dente, almost al dente) which should have been from the lumberjack (with bacon, cream and mushrooms) had lost its mushrooms you know where. Vitello tonnato good and plentiful although I would have preferred it removed from the fridge a little earlier. Excellent vegetable meatballs with side dish, ravioli del plin with so-so ragù, a bit like a company canteen... and, I forgot, if you ask for sparkling mineral water, tap water with added water will be brought to you, without being asked first of carbon dioxide and not packaged mineral water: it would be nice if they asked you first what you want... in short, you eat without infamy or praise, you satisfy your hunger at a very honest price: but I wouldn't go back from Turin to Canelli just for come and eat here. It's a shame, because with a few small adjustments, this little restaurant would have a lot of potential... let's hope for tomorrow...

09/11/2024: Passando davanti il ristorante lo non si nota, anzi non lo si vede proprio! Ritornando sulla propria strada, e sapendo l'indirizzo esatto, si vede, finalmente, che l'indirizzo corrisponde a qualche piccola porta a vetri su di una delle quali c'è scritto, con caratteri alti due o tre cm il nome del ristorante... a questo punto si nota una piccola insegna, attaccata al muro, dove viene ripetuto con strani caratteri che farebbero la gioia di un paleografo, che, decrittati, rivelano, lì, la presenza del ristorante... sulla porta nessun menù ne', tantomeno, alcun prezzo indicato... ed a questo punto si nota sul marciapiede un cartellino, tipo cavalletto, che informa della possibilità di un menù a prezzo fisso senza indicare il contenuto dei piatti ma, solo di un generico primo seguito da secondo ecc. ed il prezzo totale ... Finalmente entrati, veniamo accolti da un profumo di varechina che ci rassicura sì sull'igiene del locale, ma che non fa immaginare le prelibatezze ed i manicaretti che, speriamo, ci potremmo attendere. Ambiente spoglio, freddo (termosifoni spenti a quasi metà novembre, tanto che abbiamo mangiato con la giacca a vento). Fortunatamente tanto gelo viene riscaldato dalla simpatia della padrona e dei piatti che ci ha portato, anche se gli spaghetti (moolto al dente, quasi al dente rotto) che avrebbero dovuto essere del boscaiolo (con pancetta, panna e funghi) avevano perso i funghi non si sa dove. Vitello tonnato buono ed abbondante anche se lo avrei preferito tolto dal frigo un po' prima. Polpette di verdura con contorno ottime, i ravioli del plin con ragù così così, un po' tipo mensa aziendale... e, dimenticavo se chiedi acqua minerale gasata, ti viene portata, senza che ti venga chiesto prima, acqua del rubinetto con aggiunta di anidride carbonica e non acqua minerale confezionata: sarebbe carino che ti chiedessero prima cosa tu voglia... insomma si mangia senza infamia ne' lode, ci si toglie la fame ad un prezzo molto onesto: ma non tornerei da Torino a Canelli solo per venire a mangiare qui. Peccato, perchè con qualche piccolo aggiustamento, questo ristorantino avrebbe molte potenzialità... speriamo nel domani...

Spending €40 per person is fine, but from the dishes that arrive at the table one is left embarrassed in front of the guests. First courses, ravioli (good), paccheri with fish (left as they were), all on trays to share for 6 people (bho!) As a second course, 3 Argentinian prawns in a tray, plus pangasius, cooked, (tasting), meat tray for 6 people, 5 adults plus a child, the child paid the same as the adults. The dishes must be served individually as they used to be, these are market "tricks"! Now I understand the need for the dead months, but not being treated like that! It's the second time it's happened, I thought the first was a slip up, but alas I think it's now customary! People come to eat, not to experience. In past years it wasn't like this, it was a pleasure to talk to the waiters and it was also a pleasure to leave a tip! 29/01/2025: Genn. 2025 - Ho chiesto cappuccino e dessert pasticceria al tavolo. Avevo appena iniziato a bermi il cappuccino e data una cucchiaiata alla panna che, arriva quella che sembrava la responsabile di sala insieme ad un cameriere, dicendomi che il tavolo serviva loro e che mi dovevo spostare, prendono i piattini con i cucchiai con le mani nude e me li spostano in altro tavolino. Ho fatto i miei complimenti al servizio e me ne sono andata, lasciando praticamente 7,50 € di mancia, dato che non mi hanno permesso di far colazione. Forse avrei dovuto aggiungere i complimenti all'igiene e all'educazione.

24/01/2025: Locale scelto per la vicinanza alla Gam, post visita decidiamo di fare aperitivo qui: scelta non azzeccata... Partiamo dal locale, troppi tavoli, molto incastrati tra loro, bello invece il bancone pieno di dolce e salato, invitante. Servizio cordiale, anche se un po' pressante. Passiamo all'aperitivo: 2 taglieri (quello con pizza e focaccia e quello con le sfiziosità) accompagnati da spritz, davvero terribili! Pizze e focacce sapevano di stantio, per nulla fragranti, le sfiziosità avevano un aspetto povero e sapevano anch'esse di vecchio, ma l'apice della delusione arriva con lo spritz, acqua colorata senza sapore e sicuramente senza prosecco, penso sia stata usata solo dell'acqua, manco gasata, non si avvertiva minimamente la tipica bollicina. Se non fosse stato perché ero ospite, avrei sicuramente segnalato la cosa. Spero se la cavino con le colazioni, perché sugli aperitivi hanno tanto, ma tanto, da lavorarci su!

Fixed menu, 2 excellent starters of veal with tuna sauce and giardiniera, 2 first courses risotto with Barolo and gnocchi from Val Varaita, those who were able to eat them found them excellent. 1 second course of deer with polenta, deer, beautiful, soft and good, spectacular polenta. Perfect old-fashioned house Barbera. Loved apple pie with custard. Nice strong coffee... For 3 plus a small child €80 more than honest. We will be back.
