03/04/2024: Very pleasant surprise in the heart of Turin: we started with an appetizer of typical mixed cheeses and cured meats of the highest quality. Next, I tasted the scallops with pear and potato mustard: a simple but refined dish, in which the delicacy of the meat combined perfectly with the sweetness of the mustard. The stuffed potatoes are also excellent. But the real masterpiece was the dessert: the bonet, a typical Piedmontese dessert made with chocolate and amaretti, served with a glass of Barolo Chinato, so good that I had an encore!
An experience to remember also for the kindness and friendliness of the dining room staff who contribute to the welcoming and familiar atmosphere. The service is impeccable and the staff is attentive to the customer's every need.
I highly recommend this restaurant to those who want to savor the true flavors of Piedmont.

Very kind staff, from the owner to the waiters, all very helpful and friendly, there is no shortage of jokes. Quality products and excellent cuisine!! Great variety of choices on the menu.
Atmosphere of a classic Piola/Piedmontese trattoria.

03/04/2024: Young and trained staff. Fast and attentive service. We tried the bagna cauda and it was delicious.
25/03/2024: Thanks to a slightly late arrival we had to do everything quickly because the kitchen closed at 10pm. Keep this in mind.
The kids in the room are awake and present. Food average. The raw meats were too cold in my opinion. The traditional bagna cauda was supposed to be the undisputed protagonist, but it lacked character. Pautasso's is an interesting variant for the more sensitive.
Maybe try again more calmly

06/04/2024: Always a beautiful place: the organ of the Ancient Basilica and everything else are fascinating. I was lucky enough to also be able to see the 'well-known' city of Biella from the roof of the Dome of the Upper Basilica during a guided tour: MAGNIFICENT. Unfortunately, due to the closure of the cable car that takes you a few steps from Lake Mucrone, the Marian Sanctuary has lost an enormous amount of tourism, and it is a shame. A walk of reflection in the gallery of votes, accessible to the public, is highly recommended. It is also located near the well-known botanical garden and adventure park, which are also absolutely worth visiting if you go to Oropa (the adventure park may not be within everyone's reach).

We fell in love with this fantastic place, in addition to the beauty of the place, there is a sacred air that pervades everything. Ample free parking, and the possibility of staying overnight in the Sanctuary towers, summer temperatures in the rooms. Great experience, thank you!

06/04/2024: We chose this restaurant after discovering the menu on the internet.
The service was impeccable throughout our meal.
The restaurant is quite noisy, it was difficult for us to hear each other when we were chatting.
We were quite disappointed with the quality/price ratio, in fact, we ate well but the prices charged were way too high! Including for cocktails and glasses of wine.
We still had a nice time. On the other hand, we will not come back. There are much better places for a much more reasonable price.

06/04/2024: I think the food let's it down the most. It's a very old family style restaurant with family style cooking but it isn't great cooking. We ordered a carbonara like pasta dish and the grand mixed platter and a side salad. The platter included veal, sausage, sweetbreads, frog, apple, and some other sweet things. The grand platter wasn't particularly tasty. The pasta was quite nice but maybe a little too heavy on the cheese. The mixed salad was just that. The service was not bad as it was a busy Friday evening.
06/04/2024: Lunch with friends from another region who wanted to try Piedmontese cuisine. Unfortunately we ordered the mixed fry... inedible. Some pieces (I imagine it was brains or loin) were breaded lumps of fat, the meat was very tough, the semolina was terrible, the sausage was breaded and dry... I didn't know what to save. The first courses (agnolotti and gnocchi) and desserts (bunet and hazelnut cake) were normal but not memorable. Expensive, considering the poor quantity and the fact that we ordered practically only one dish
and half a dessert each and wine in a carafe. Only the position and professionalism of the staff is saved.

02/04/2024: Good service station, lots of choice, excellent croissants, slightly stressed staff, they should hire more people, you can't expect them to want to smile at everyone after so many hours of work!! Very high on prices!
02/04/2024: Very high prices (almost 8 euros for a sandwich, 7 for a slice of pizza, over 11 euros for pasta with tomato sauce). Welcoming environment, large sandwich and pizza area, small self-service with normal dishes and generous quantities. Few tables but absolutely not looked after: no one cleans or clears them, so by two o'clock they are all dirty, full of crumbs and abandoned trays. If you want to eat here, you have to clean the tables. In relation to the prices, honestly I would expect a little more attention.
PS two minutes after writing, a girl came by to clean the tables, the same one who served us at the self-service. I hope it was just a moment of particular crowding, and not a lack of staff (who were also courteous and helpful)

06/04/2024: A place located near the Porta Nuova station, slightly peripheral and finding a place is difficult.
Chips appetizer increased in volume by more than 50% of the volume of the plate thanks to an ingenious increase system with a napkin/card folded into an oval shape.
The pizzas are of poor quality both in terms of flavor and quantity, with the sauce lacking in salt (it seems that they poured out the jar directly before putting it in the oven) and in terms of quantity because, despite asking for a generous portion, the pizza appears bare which only looking at it it seems like the bit has dried up and precise even without salt.
Having said that, I really don't recommend this place for both the location and the products

06/04/2024: Visited the exhibition dedicated to Hayez. The rooms are not very large so in some cases it is difficult to see the works when there are many visitors. Our permanent one, which can be visited with integration on the ticket, is a bit chaotic. Here the spaces are very large (why not swap?). It's not worth the visit.

07/04/2024: Our favorite pizzeria has been our favorite pizzeria for a long time now, it requires reservations as it is very popular, however fast service and kindness to be underlined on the part of the servers.
05/04/2024: Being located in a busy area it is therefore always full, but that's not the only reason! The dishes are good and varied, the staff is friendly and the location is nice as well as spacious (it has an internal room and 2 external rooms).

06/04/2024: I have been to this restaurant several times and every time I say to myself "I won't come here anymore" the food is good, but it is expensive and above all the service is disorganized and confusing. Last night was the last time really. 45 minutes of waiting for desserts when we were the only large table plus two tables....I would say uncommentable and then after 45 minutes they also realized that they didn't have enough dessert ordered and so some had to change their order. Furthermore, one thing I have never tolerated is paying €50 for dinner and eating tightly at a bar table where the pizza plate doesn't already fit and one plate is stuck to the other diner. Tables too close to each other and too close to the cellar where the waiters have to take some of the wines and make you move. I'm very sorry to leave negative comments but this place could be much better.
