05/09/2025: I haven't been back to Robarello in at least 10 years. I thought the owner, Antonio, had retired. Instead, I found him better than ever, with an exciting selection of dishes (especially fish). I recommend asking the waiters for off-the-list items, though: they have the best. For example, yesterday I had black tagliolini with shrimp that was absolutely amazing. The appetizer was also wonderful, with a special mention for the shrimp fritters. Antonio, hang in there: as long as there are people like you, Italian dining will be top-notch. Despite the Michelin-starred restaurants, whose dishes you could replicate for a tenth of the price. Hats off...

13/10/2025: The only restaurant open on Mondays, at the top of the Sacro Monte di Varese, it offers traditional Lombard cuisine; in this season, I recommend trying their polenta, paired with wild boar, gorgonzola, or mushrooms. The blueberry tart is also very good.

25/07/2025: We ate here last night with our two children and can highly recommend it. My son wanted spaghetti carbonara, but it wasn't on the menu. After a quick chat with the kitchen, it was quickly arranged! I wanted the pistachio pasta, which normally has bacon in it, and they adapted it for me because I'm a vegetarian. We all had pasta, so I don't know what the pizzas were like, but locals were picking them up like crazy while we were there, so I'm sure they're good. If you're in the area, craving pasta or pizza, and looking for a casual Italian experience, look no further.

21/07/2025: Senza Nome is simply an institution in the Bizzozero-Viale Borri area. Whether you go for lunch, dinner, or even an aperitivo, you always leave satisfied and with a smile on your face, thanks to the friendliness of Gianluca and the entire staff. Even if you're in other parts of Varese or just visiting from out of town, give it a try—you won't regret it!

06/09/2025: This place in the center of Varese was discovered by friends after a Varese basketball game. The food and beer are absolutely top-notch, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. A must-try!

22/07/2025: Your local bar in Varese. The brothers who own this place out their heart and soul into looking after people. Great place if you need a venue for an event, Franki the chef who has experience from around the world will put together a menu to please everyone. A place to feel at home

12/10/2025: The room was okay, but sitting on the loggia was very noisy, as the hotel is practically located at a crossroads. I was looking forward to great Italian food, but unfortunately, that wasn't available there, as the restaurant is very meat-focused. The breakfast was rather spartan. I wouldn't go there again.

04/10/2025: Too expensive for what they offer. If you want to have a snack during aperitivo, you have to pay for the platter separately, and it's €3 or €5 more per person depending on the size of the platter... too bad they're all tramezzini, pizzas, and paninis that they could easily include with the price of the drink, like other bars do. The icing on the cake was that the next day we noticed that they charged us €7 on the receipt for an extra drink that no one ever ordered...sorry, but we won't be returning.

25/09/2025: A very nice place located in the historic center of Varese, where Porta Regondella once stood. I drank two glasses of Dolcetto and was served a delicious aperitif consisting of chips, pizza cut into squares, a salami and cheese sandwich, and another savory snack. Very friendly service and a very fair price. Highly recommended!
