What a fantastic place this was! I was immediately helped by a lovely lady who asked if I wanted to speak Italian or English. After ordering in rickety Italian, I had a delicious meal. It's packed with locals, and the atmosphere is great. The food is a bit simple and nothing special, but I also think 7.50 for pasta is incredibly cheap. I would recommend this restaurant 100%!

Excellent for a quick lunch break. Fair prices, good food at an affordable price (€6.50 for a super sandwich and €7.50 for a tasty first course). The atmosphere is a bit small, like a sandwich shop, but 40-50 seats are sufficient for a quick lunch. The Caffè Regondello is definitely worth a try.

A well-furnished bistro with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a dozen or so wooden tables, and even a dedicated library area with free access. The lunch menu offers a variety of starters, main courses, side dishes, piadinas, salads, and desserts. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, at a very reasonable fixed-price menu. Well done! I've had lunch, not dinner. The bar is excellent for breakfast, with homemade cakes and croissants. The staff is efficient and very friendly; the two young ladies are wonderful and charming. The gentleman is very polite. As a customer, you feel valued and respected. It's frequented by nice people and families. The atmosphere is clean, and even the restrooms reflect the refined taste of the place. The Bistrot Regondell was a pleasant discovery for me, a non-Varese local, and an opportunity to learn a part of the city's history, as told on their placemats. I recommend making a reservation.
