26/08/2024: We took a bruschetta with tomatoes that had gone bad as well as acid combined with a rotten salad. spaghetti with clams full of sand and rather dry, €18 excessive for the dish it really is. excessive cost of water €5 per bottle, I understand the position but we didn't even have a lake view. not recommended, especially due to the rudeness of the staff when we went to pay who served us rudely by throwing the money on the counter. nothing to say about the waiters but never again.

24/08/2024: Visitando Sirmione ci siamo fermati a mangiare da scaligeri street,vicino al omonimo ristorante. Qui si mangiano piatti veloci e in effetti abbiamo preso 2 pizze e un calzone. Dopo 25 minuti il cameriere molto cortese si scusa ma le pizze sono bruciate,comunque quasi subito arriva la comanda. Il calzone era tuttavia bruciato e mascherato con una abbondante copertura di pomodoro per coprire la bruciatura e anche la Margherita orribile sembrava pane secco,comunque il tutto anche per la fame èstato consumato. Andiamo alla cassa per pagare e oltre alla nostra lamentela ci troviamo un conto un po' fuori misura. Praticamente i prezzi visti sul menù al tavolo non corrispondono a quelli sullo scontrino. Spiego: La Margherita da 8 euro passa a 10 e il calzone (bruciato) passa da 10 euro a 13 l'altra pizza prezzo corretto. Alle nostre rimostranze ci hanno ridato 5 euro di rimborso ma senza giustificare nulla anzi a mio giudizio molto seccati per la perdita di tempo.morale: noi non ci torneremo più e chi ci andrà consiglio di controllare il conto.

02/09/2024: The food at this restaurant is phenomenal, all fresh seafood cooked in traditional Italian style ! We had seafood straglioli, tuna pizza and grilled prawns. All of which were amazing, flavourful and fresh definitely recommend if you’re staying or visiting the area

21/08/2024: Ottimo ristorante situato nel cuore storico di Sirmione, personale molto cortese, veloce, super attento alle esigenze del cliente. Sono celiaca e ho mangiato un’ottima zuppetta di pesce di mare, con un brodetto al pomodoro da leccarsi i baffi. Squisita anche la griglia di pesce di lago. Mia figlia ha apprezzato invece gli spaghetti alle vongole.

18/08/2024: Very nice restaurant and hotel in a magnificent location on the lake. Nice food, great selection of wines and very good service! The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because while we wanted a table near the lake, and while there were still some empty tables with a nice view, we were pushed back quite a bit! However, I highly recommend it!!!

16/08/2024: Our first night in Sirmione and what a fabulous start to our holiday. Delicious food and the amazing staff were so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return during our stay.

10/07/2024: Initially, we were going to eat somewhere else, but they were full. We tried at San Vito, and they were happy to make room for us. How glad we were that they did. It turned out to be the best food of our entire Italian jaunt from Venice via Florence. I wish I could express how delicious everything we ordered was. The service, knowledge, and overall experience were of the highest levels, so much so that we booked for the following night, which was our last. The food and service were again out of this world. If you miss this restaurant on your visit to the area, then you are missing out. We will return on our next visit to the Lake without a doubt.

30/06/2024: Una pizza davvero scadente, le materie prime non hanno aiutato a migliorare la mia impressione. Non tornerò.Mi spiace perché la location è sicuramente molto suggestiva.

10/07/2024: Ottima scelta. Location elegante, attaccata al lago. Cibo di ottima qualità e ben presentato. Lo staff particolarmente attento e molto gentile. Un particolare merito al Sig. Enrico che ha contribuito a rendere speciale il nostro pranzo con la sua gentilezza e simpatia. Esperienza assolutamente da ripetere. Prezzo adeguato al locale ed al buon cibo

25/06/2024: Anlässlich unseres 35-jährigen Jubiläums des Porsche Club Zollernalb sind wir mit 53 Personen im Dei Poeti zum Festabend mit dem Wassertaxi vom Hotel aus Desenzano herübergefahren. Es erwarete uns ein Empfang mit Aperitif und Häppchen, herrlich angerichtet auf der Seitenterrasse, bevor wir an schön gedeckten Tafeln zum Abendessen auf die Seeterrasse gebeten wurden. Ein ausgezeichnetes Festmenu mit sehr zuvorkommender Bewirtung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir können dieses Restarant nur empfehlen. Wir werden diesen Jubiläumsabend, den wir bei herrlichem Sonnenschein und angenehmen Abendtemperaturen dort genießen durften, noch lange in bester Erinnerung behalten. Uwe Eisch, Präsident

17/08/2024: After looking at restaurant reviews for a long time, I choose Restaurante Essentia and make a reservation. The summary. Disappointment. The location is charming but when we arrived (in the middle of August) they didn't have our reservation and they set up a table for us next to an outdoor drinks bar. The food was the most disappointing. Some of the dishes we ordered: Penne a la Arrabiatta, supposedly the recommended dish of the day, the sauce seemed like a jar. Another dish was the Vitello Tonnato. It was dry, and lastly, some Spaguetti Alle Vongole, the clams had a LOT of dirt, they had not been cleaned. The lasagna was saved. Summary, bad experience, I do not recommend it.

04/08/2024: Occupying a prime spot right at the top end of the peninsula this is very handy if you're visiting the Grotte a vast Roman ruined villa across from the hotel. We had antipasti for lunch which was well above standard fare. The burrata and anchovies was excellent (though I would have loved a few more anchovies!), as was the crudo e melone. Service a little lax and on the pricey side but the location and food outweighed that.

28/05/2024: The restaurant is in a lovely setting ,looking out over the lake. We chose this place as it was easily accessible for our friend in a wheelchair however the servers were very abrupt and came across rude. The food was very average. One of the party asked for a green salad and was given a bowl of iceberg lettuce!!!! The French fries were like off cuts of potato peelings with no potato!!! The veal was dry with no offer of a dressing. All in all a very bad experience ….would not recommend and will not return!!!!

29/07/2024: Rude people, we read the positive comment and went there today with family. It was about 21:45. The service person told us that they are not accepting new customers anymore. I asked if our child could still visit the toilette. She told no.. Her boss supported her by saying this is not a public toilet. This is their customer attitude.

17/07/2024: Italians eat their pizza at home. We like to enjoy good pizza with a view over the lake and a wonderful swim afterwards - right at the Scaligerburg. Everything recommended: authentic pizza, the space and the free view for dinner. Life can be so easy.

01/07/2024: Freundliche Bedienung. Haben Kaffeepause gemacht. Hatten den Kindern vorher Eis gekauft und durften uns auch damit hinsetzen. Preise ok.

17/07/2024: Cadre exceptionnel malheureusement cela ne fait pas tout: arrivés à 13h, il a fallu attendre près de 20’ pour que le personnel prenne la commande et encore 1h10 pour recevoir nos plats (bon rapport qualité/prix cependant). Il est à regretter qu’ils ne servent pas de pizza le midi (on nous l’a appris au moment de la commande…).

07/07/2024: Posate sporche, pizza arrivata cruda, tagliolini annegati nel nero di seppia. Il tutto accompagnato da prezzi altissimi (in senso assoluto e soprattutto in rapporto alla qualità del servizio e della cucina). Sconsigliatissimo

07/08/2024: Ambiance under the trees and vines is very beautiful and pleasant. The service is also very nice, courteous and attentive. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza was more of a flop than it was great and was reminiscent of a good frozen pizza (dough was very sticky, sauce was okay, the toppings were salami, ham, olives and there was a lot of room for improvement in terms of quality and taste). Price is okay, but we have eaten much better pizza in the region for the same price. A pity

07/08/2024: Beautiful place, eat outdoors under the canopy of the trees. Very helpful staff. But unfortunately the quality of the food is, above all, the preparation of the dishes very negative, even in the simplest things. Quality/price not adequate. Rejected.

27/04/2024: Ristorante molto carino e vista mozzafiato. La qualità e la quantità delle porzioni rispetto al costo non è proporzionata. Ordinati 4 primi uguali (tortelli di zucca) e 2 secondi (salmone e filetto), un calice di vino e una bottiglia d'acqua... Quasi 120€...con piatti non particolarmente saporiti. È stato ordinato un calice di vino bianco, portato un locale, perché quello ordinato non disponibile: 7€ per un dito di vino. Non è accettabile.

10/04/2024: Un mercredi d'avril, vous allez avoir de la place, un accueil bien sympathique et un menu limité à la pizza - quand même bonne. Et à la vue sur le lac ; wow.

30/06/2024: After 10 minutes of queuing, the lady with short white hair denied me the possibility of purchasing a bus pass for 2 weeks without specifying the exact date. reason and without even apologizing for the inconvenience and useless waiting. It wasn't the first time she was addressed in an unkind manner and almost annoyed by the request. (I also read other reviews that complain about the same rudeness... I'll start by saying that every month I make purchases in the modern bar for an average of 180/200 euros between subscriptions and cigarettes. I will carefully consider whether to permanently change shop).

22/05/2024: Sehr sehr unfreundliches Personal, bekamen Prosecco statt Wein - dies wurde nur wiederwillig ausgetauscht -Wein war weniger als 0,1 cl - auf Nachfrage wurde dies als "normal " hingestellt. Thunfisch-Pizza war gut , Bruschetta war ungewürzt, geschmacklich fade.
