13/12/2025: l stayed in this hotel last September for five nights with a friend on a mini girls’ trip, and overall I had a really lovely experience. I’ll start with the positives.
This hotel is incredibly underrated, it’s absolutely beautiful. The interiors feel very Italian, rich, and historical, with stunning views overlooking Lake Garda. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the whole place looks very classy and expensive. I loved the vintage glamour atmosphere throughout the hotel , the outdoor seating with statues, the indoor bar with the piano, and both the outdoor and indoor pools were gorgeous. Everything was kept very clean. The staff were also really helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay.
The restaurant was another highlight. The food felt very fine dining, with great quality and presentation, and the service was excellent. It definitely added to the overall luxurious feel of the hotel.
The biggest downside is that the hotel is situated at the top of a long hill. Walking down the hill everyday to the main shops and to explore Lake Garda takes about 10 minutes to just walk down the hill itself , and the walk back up is quite tiring, especially in the heat. Unfortunately, taxis won’t come up the hill as it’s not worth it for them, which can be frustrating. I really think the hotel would benefit from offering a free shuttle bus to take guests up and down the hill, as this would solve one of the main issues.
Another small downside, the rooms have so much potential, the vintage style, beds, and balconies are all beautiful , but the rooms are on the smaller side, and some of the furniture looks a bit worn and dated. A light refurbishment or upgrade would really elevate the rooms and make the hotel even more stunning. Adding in some new vintage interiors and furniture would do wonders.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and five days felt like the perfect amount of time. Despite a few drawbacks, it’s a gorgeous hotel with so much charm, and I’d still recommend it to anyone looking for a classy, vintage-style stay on Lake Garda. There’s not many hotels like this one. Definitely a true 4 star hotel.
02/12/2025: We stayed there for eight days in October. Beautiful old villas and gardens. Italian-style rooms with balconies offering fantastic views of the lake. A decent breakfast buffet, and we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. All the spa areas were also fully operational.
