06/05/2026: While searching for a good restaurant, we came across Il Philò. We didn't know it was part of a hotel when we ordered, but we gave it a try anyway and can absolutely recommend it. The waiter entertained us with anecdotes and interesting facts about local customs and drinks, the ambiance was tasteful and elegant, and the food was fantastic!
31/03/2026: Excellent food, very attentive waiters, pleasant atmosphere! No cover charge, but three complimentary appetizers… we've never experienced that before!

26/04/2026: Great experience. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. I think it's in a great location, halfway between Desenzano and Sirmione. It has a lovely garden and a decent pool. The staff was excellent, very professional and friendly.

The food was delicious, the wine choice was excellent, the views from our table were stunning, and personal shout out to Diane whose service exceeded expectations. She was very attentive, considerate and knowledgeable about the wine and the area. Thank you Diane!

28/06/2026: The quality of the ingredients is quite good, but what's not quite right, despite the location and proximity to the lake (not the view), is the exorbitant price. For three kebabs (one portion), two soft drinks, and a can of beer, I paid over €30, and we were still hungry. Service is by ringing a bell when it's your turn. Tables are limited due to the location, but if you want a well-made kebab in a clean environment, you've come to the right place.
25/06/2026: I got a Kebab Menu to go. It was done pretty fast. The ladies at the register were really friendly.
The food was very good. Thin fries and a good filled kebab. It's not the classic triangle bread but it tasted good either way! The price is good for the food you get. Would definitely recommend

Marilena, a terrible bartender, especially when it comes to making fun of people's bodies, but this one has definitely never seen a mirror!
The owner is kind, but this bartender ruined the evening, and I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it because of her, not to mention the fact that she makes terrible drinks!

31/03/2026: I ate at this fantastic restaurant and I have to say the spit-roasted meat is absolutely worth trying—it's delicious! It's a place with a family atmosphere, where every dish is prepared with passion and care. But what makes it even more special is Alfredo, the legendary owner, always kind, helpful, and ready to chat with everyone. An experience I can't wait to repeat!

08/06/2026: I waited 20 minutes for a cheesecake in a practically empty place. While the cappuccino was already cold, I asked for a refill, and unbelievably, they charged me for it... how base.
The staff, especially a superficial and rude middle-aged woman, doesn't admit her mistakes. Avoid this place due to the staff's inability to interact with people.

21/05/2026: I don’t know how about the food but the people working there, Especially the semi bold guy… TERRIBLE. I didn’t meet such an unpleasent person in the whole Italy. I had the bike accident, I was crying and wanted to sit to order something to drink and use bathroom - they reffused both as he said THEY ARE THE RESTAURANT…. wow…. Didnt get this kind of treatment ever anywhere.
11/05/2026: Extremely unfriendly staff. We simply wanted to order two drinks and were turned away. The server then made fun of us.

The staff was always courteous and helpful, ensuring impeccable service. The atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a quality dining experience.
12/09/2025: Just had the value menu - absolutely delicious and fantastic value for money! Service was friendly and welcoming. Selected the local wine, Benaco Bresciano Rosso, and was not disappointed. Meal for two with wine was £65. Location is next to the main road but it did not spoil our experience.

We returned after 2 years and the place has changed radically.
Terrible and rubbery pizzas
Fritto misto was edible, all in all
The mussels with pepper sauce were inedible, watery, and arrived late.
Staff were inattentive and service was at times truly awful. Nice place but really dirty. They could do much better. Never again.

I got the steak, spaghetti, and salad entree.
Steak was cooked fine, had 0 taste and lots of fat.
Spaghetti was somehow worse then homemade American spaghetti.
Salad was like 3 slices of lettuce, a lemon, and a tomato.👎
In addition, I also got a chocolate lava cake (it has a much different name). It wasn't fresh at all I think and overall the total was not worth £41.
I do not recommend.
13/05/2026: Seriously the worst food I've had in Italy so far. We got lasagna, two pasta dishes, and a pizza. You could immediately tell it was all frozen. Even the frozen food from Lidl in Germany tasted fresher. My lasagna was still completely cold and raw in the middle. The cook reheated it, but that was incredibly disrespectful. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
