21/06/2024: We are in Italy from Australia, and came across this great little cafe on our way to Varenna. Absolutely wonderful staff who were very tolerant of our lack of the Italian language. Great lasagne, too!

29/07/2024: Small hidden restaurant for a delicious dinner. The staff exudes a great Italian atmosphere. Dishes are prepared with love and taste excellent. A real insider tip is the dessert.

28/07/2024: Even though you are charged by 2,5 Eur for the service, the first waiter (young guy) was very rood and impolite to our company. When he brought the food, he pretended that he does not speak English and spoke, explained everything to us in Italy, seeing that we do not understand Italian. When we asked - why are you so angry and rood, he answered perfect English. We asked the manager to change the waiter and they did it, though the atmoshere was already ruined. This is the example how bad service can ruine whole evening. If this restaurant do not want to have tourist, they can say it publicly, not with such a bad service

30/06/2024: "Adventurous" dirt road but fully in tune with the pleasant rustic and shaded place outside. Stop just to "discover it" and promise to return for lunch. Welcomed for a simple drink and kind and clear descriptions of their service methods and particular menus. I will soon solve my curiosity to fully enjoy Pora Cà.

29/06/2024: Excellent typical cuisine. Very original location and next to the Adda! The dirt road to get there is fine but perhaps it would be better to tidy it up a bit.

01/09/2024: The view is undoubtedly breathtaking. Our junior suite was very large and bright with an exceptional view. The restaurant was expensive but of high quality. The breakfast was very rich and excellent. The restaurant service was a little slow.

26/08/2024: We just had dinner in the Panoramico hotel restaurant and it was an excellent experience. Beautiful, well-kept, typically Mediterranean location. Excellent waiter service: Mr. Antonio served us with kindness and experience. Definitely a waiter who is "experienced" in his job: he knows how to treat customers and this is an added value to the restaurant (it makes you want to come back). Thanks Antonio. Finally, the most important part is the kitchen. As a family of fishermen we were more than satisfied. We took a crudité starter (enough for 2) and a trio of seafood. All tastefully appreciated. We continued with 2 first courses: spaghetti with clams (large and rich dish) and a fisherman's pan (fresh pasta and rich in seafood) both excellent. What can I say: we will return without a shadow of a doubt. Among the best restaurants in Castro! N.b. Value for money: right!!

27/08/2024: It is an easy-going place famous not only for its meats but also for its sandwiches. At midday you can stop in the adjacent room for your lunch break at truly competitive prices but the credit for all this success is due to the presence in the kitchen of the cook Monia who thanks to his expert hands and his great experience gained over the years in the catering field he has made all this possible, thanks again from all of us
