24/05/2025: Kicks was a lively little restaurant by the bay and served good pizza and pasta to our group. We had to wait to be seated as the place was full, but in the end we enjoyed our company and our meals. I had the eggplant pizza, and it was very good, though I would have appreciated a more generous portion of eggplant since it's one of my favorite vegetables, but it was tasty and enjoyed by several at our table.

31/05/2025: No reservation. My children, my mother (who has a disability), and I were greeted at 7:45 p.m. by unfriendly service. There was no smile. The room was barely half full, but we were seated by the door. This way, we could enjoy the smell of motorcycle exhaust and the constant passage of the waiter on his way to the terrace. A woman stared at me insistently the whole time. When I called the waiter once, this woman might tell you to wait even though there were four of them at the bar. Anyway! A chef came to our table and shared a laugh with us. Super nice. We applauded his food, which was delicious!

19/05/2025: I only ate the pizza, which is subjective, so I will have to come back, but my husband said that the fish he ate was fresh and good, you will see me here soon to taste your fish

11/05/2025: Revisited 2025: Came back for dinner here after a great experience in 2024. Started off with two glasses of Prosecco, with a complimentary plate of salami and snacks. For starters we chose ham & cheese croquetas and the steak Tartare. And two glasses of Pigato White Wine. The croquetas were solid, but not too exciting. Excellent on the other hand was the Tartare. Nice, fresh and good sized chunks of wonderful beef. And on top ice-cream! A savoury, mustard icecream. Never had it like this before. But the cold freshness of it was the perfect match for the beef. Amazing dish. For the mains we chose the beef steak and the lamb. Two glasses of Red Sangiovese with that. The lamb was nicely cooked, tender and good flavoured. The beef was cooked to perfection, nice grilled flavour and perfectly tender. Both very good meals. For dessert we had a glass of Italian Amaro each. A good finish. One glass was even on the house. We paid just a bit over 150 Euros. A fair deal. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, high quality food. And our Bulldog was welcome here as well. Surely we'll be back. 2024 Review: We have spotted this place already last year when we were in town for a few days. But we already booked every dinner, so we didn't have the chance to try this one out. This year we came back and did reserve a table a couple of weeks in advance. And that was the right thing to do. It was saturday and the place fully booked, several guests had to be turned away. Inside it is a very nice and cosy place. Darker decor with wine bottles all around, really fits the theme here since they got over 400 different wines on offer. We ordered grilled shrimp (with salad) and the Australian Angus beef carpaccio for starters. The shrimp was nicely cooked, very fresh and tasty. A lighter starter. The carpaccio was fantastic, a real heaven for meat-lovers. And we did stay with the meat-theme for our mains. Ordered the beef filet and also the Iberico Pork. Both excellent dishes. But the Iberico really stood out. We've had Iberico Pork a bunch of times already in Spain. Delicous meat, with a bit fat for flavour. Cooked medium - as it should be (don't be scared to order it that way - it's perfection). They really got some nice meat here in this restaurant. Perfection. Also some pasta and other dishes if you're not into meat much of course. Had some Limoncello and Amaro for "dessert". Staff was nice and friendly. Our Bulldog was welcome here as well. We showed up at 7.30pm. Most folks came around 8.00pm and had to wait a bit longer, since it was fully booked. So it's good if you show up a bit early. A really wonderful evening. All high quality items. The wine as well (we had some Ligurian wine). Prices fair for this quality. Surely we'll be back next spring.

11/05/2025: Volví para cenar aquí después de una gran experiencia en 2024. Empezó con dos copas de Prosecco, con un plato de cortesía de salami y mordiscos. Para empezar elegimos las croquetas de jamón/queso y el bistec Tartare. Y dos copas de vino blanco de pigato. Las croquetas eran sólidas, pero no demasiado emocionantes. Excelente por otro lado fue el Tartare. Bonito, fresco y bueno - trozos de tamaño de maravillosa carne de res. ¡Y encima helado! Un helado salado de mostaza. Nunca lo había tenido así antes. Pero la frescura fría de la misma era la combinación perfecta para la carne de res. Un plato increíble. Para la alimentación elegimos el filete de ternera y el cordero. Dos vasos de Red Sangiovese con eso. El cordero estaba muy bien cocinado, tierno y bien aromatizado. La carne de res estaba cocinada a la perfección, agradable sabor a la parrilla y perfectamente tierna. Ambas muy buenas comidas. Para el "postre" tuvimos una copa de Amaro italiano cada uno. Un buen final. Incluso había un vaso en la casa. Pagamos poco más de 150 euros. Un trato justo. Ambiente agradable, personal amable, comida de alta calidad. Y nuestro Bulldog era bienvenido aquí también. Seguramente volveremos.

14/05/2025: Lunch to die for! A location on the Santa Margherita Ligure promenade with tables on the sea/port side, fantastic view. We enjoyed the exceptional food, quality raw materials (I recommend the exceptional mixed seafood! and the Ligurian-style fish).. quality wines, especially local wines... impeccable service, in fact, by asking the waiters Elena and Luca, they made us feel at home, compliments!

03/04/2025: esperienza a dir poco terribile 0re 13 del 28 marzo 2025 io e mia moglie x 2 piatti di spaghetti di vongole e 2 fritti di acciughe spaghetti con la presenza di notevole numero di gusci rotti che si annidano tra gli spaghetti creando notevole pericolo durante la deglutizione.sperando nel secondo arrivano delle acciughe fritte color arancione e carbonizzate ai bordi accompagnate con 3 foglie 3 di insalata e un vasettino di una improbabile salsa piccante arancione artigianale.dopo l'assaggio di 2 accciughe decidiamo di farcele ritirare rispondendoci subito che non verranno conteggiate nel conto finale ammetendo praticamente che ci avevano servito una schifezza pericolosa . abbiamo discusso a ragione con il cameriere che ci rispondeva che non era colpa sua. la finisco dicendo che ne' io ne' mia moglie meritavamo un trattamento cosi' scandaloso mettendo a repentaglio la nostra salute (olio esausto e probabilmente acciughe gia' fatte e rifritte un'altra volta.alla fine 80 euro x un pranzo vergognoso e una bottiglia di vermentino da 28 euro sono un medico e vi chiedo di memorizzare bene questa osteria x non mettere a repentaglio la vostra salute e i vostri soldi.spargete la voce x non andarci mai piu' andrea medico chirurgo

07/10/2024: Visite casi a diario este lugar durante mi estadía en Santa Margherita. Es un bar sencillo, agradable con rica comida y muy buen café. Se ve pequeño, pero ofrece una muy buena atención, rápida con platos sabrosos. Siempre me sentí muy cómoda.

24/04/2025: Ci siamo capitati per caso, cercavamo altri ristoranti ma, siccome era pranzo, erano chiusi. È stata una scoperta davvero molto piacevole: spaghetti al cartoccio squisito, grigliata di mare buonissima e tiramisù da far girare la testa. È il classico posto in cui non andresti mai su “carta” ma quando ci capiti ti ricredi. Salvo il nome e tornerò SICURAMENTE nelle prossime visite a Santa Margherita!!!

25/05/2025: This restaurant is the best one i visited in my travels in italy. The owner of the restaurant is an amazing woman who hosts and provides service like being in her living room. Her husband, a very talented chef, is pleasant and kind. The style of the restaurant is warm, homely, the food is very high quality and rich. The Tartufo is not shown in the pictures but inside there were lots of big peaces. I visit many Michelin restaurants around the world, and this is one of my favorites. I guess that if the fight person will come and visit they will get a star. ⭐️
