Kindness, friendliness, and I dare say affection, the quality and variety of dishes, efficiency and organization, cleanliness, and utmost availability, have given us comfort and solace during these intense 40 days that have seen us committed to the realization of Jubilee 2025. 28/09/2025: What truly stood out to me was the feeling Massimo created. It didn’t feel like going to a restaurant, but rather like visiting a grandfather’s home—where he generously shares whatever he has and insists on feeding you until you’re happily full. The whole experience was more about being a guest than a customer. The pasta was delicious, freshly made that very morning. Then he surprised us with fried eggplant and grapes, all served with such kindness and warmth. I believe we should value more of these local, family-style places. They may not fit into the modern category of “fancy” restaurants, but they shine with generosity, hospitality, and truly tasty food.

28/09/2025: We went to Frascati, strolling through the streets filled with restaurants, osterias, and trattorias. There were so many beautiful and inviting places, but a name, a logo—I'm not sure what—drew us to Da Massimo. It wasn't right in the center; we had to go down a side street... and finally we found ourselves in front of this simple, almost familiar-looking place. As soon as we entered, it truly felt like my grandmother's house: a welcoming atmosphere, with Massimo—a kind, white-haired man—who takes great care of his guests. Always ready to ask, "Do you need anything else?" We asked for a first course, and he offered us his fettuccine with meat sauce: "Are there two of you? I'll make you a generous portion." First, he brought us white wine and simple bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil... all homemade, fresh, and authentic. Then came the pasta: delicious, flavorful, and so generous it seemed made for three! Not content with that, Massimo also brought us some delicious small eggplants with bread, and at the end he offered us eggs from his chickens and a homemade grappa. It was an experience that went beyond good food: a return to a warmth and hospitality that is increasingly rare today. If you want to experience something authentic and feel part of a story that will stay with you, I wholeheartedly recommend Da Massimo. Give him a shout-out from me!

09/12/2025: We went to this place for a birthday. The mixed antipasto had a high percentage of truffle-based products, which wasn't specified and wasn't communicated when we asked. The pizza looked fantastic, but the dough quickly became tough. The decor was dated. Does it have potential? Definitely, but there's still work to be done!

08/12/2025: I have been coming to this place for at least 30 years maybe even more. And as always excellent, never disappoints me. I highly recommend it.

12/10/2025: Never again! Yesterday, a friend of mine and I ate an appetizer, two regular pizzas, a glass of wine, and a water, for a total of €51, so €25 each. I didn't want to cause a scene in front of the tables that were still in the restaurant, but I saw that the bill indicated a special pizza menu (I instead ordered a pizza that wasn't one of the special ones (called grottino; the special ones were, for example, cacio e pepe, amatriciana, etc.) and an extra appetizer. The pizza menu said the appetizer was included, but instead they charged us for it separately. Terrible treatment; that's why I gave it one star; we were very disappointed.

26/10/2025: Fantastic food. The pork shank with potatoes was phenomenal. The chef was very friendly and the service was excellent. We'll be back next year; it will become our go-to place.

19/10/2025: I was deeply disappointed with this place. From the moment I entered, the place was dirty and neglected, with visibly unclean utensils and—even worse—the presence of crickets and cockroaches inside. There was no paper or digital menu, and the dishes were offered verbally, without any indication of prices. This created a lot of confusion, especially when it came to the bill: the final price was decidedly high and it was unclear what we were actually paying. Furthermore, the bottle of water we were served was dirty, adding to the overall feeling of poor hygiene. The food was decent, but certainly not enough to make up for all the other serious shortcomings. Finally, the place doesn't have a POS terminal, so payment is cash only—a piece of information that would have been appropriate to communicate right away. In short, a very negative experience from every perspective. I do not recommend it.

14/11/2025: Spacious venue with friendly staff. Offers a wide selection of beers 🍺. The menu is comprehensive, from mixed appetizers (a cold cut and cheese platter, a mixed vegetarian platter, and various fried foods), pizza, and sandwiches with various fillings. We recommend the maxi sandwich (it costs €15 but is worth it), consisting of a hamburger, melted provola cheese, sautéed cooked vegetables, and more. Nothing like those at McDonald's. The fries are also excellent—not sticks, but spoon-fries, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I highly recommend it if you're in Frascati and want to spend an evening at the pub. 14/09/2025: A restaurant with outdoor seating. A pleasant evening, with good Roman pizza, tasty sandwiches, and a wide selection of draft beers, all served impeccablely.

21/07/2025: Lunch for a baptism was all good but the portions were barely sufficient...the service was barely adequate and not attentive to the customer for a farmhouse, let's say passable.

14/09/2025: We went here for an aperitif among the vines... the view, food, and wine were excellent! Perfect for sunset... They customized the menu for both those with allergies and pregnant women. The arrangement of the pallets holding the food could be slightly reconsidered; perhaps they were too big for the available space. The staff were very kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back!!!

30/08/2025: Aperitif in the vineyard. A lovely experience, with good food and wine. You have to accept the occasional bug and a bit of dirt, but that's part of the experience, in my opinion.

03/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale su consiglio di amici. Premesso che dopo il caldo di Roma il fatto che si riuscisse a respirare era sufficiente a dare una super valutazione, ma il ristorante merita molto di più. Innanzitutto é presente anche il menu per chi é intollerante al lattosio o per chi é celiaco, mettono delle graziose bandierine per distinguere le portate senza lattosio o per celiaci al fine di evitare che una volta a tavola si possa far confusione. Siamo stati serviti da Valentino, unico nella sua professionalità ed estremamente gentile e disponibile, ha ispirato a tutti una immediata simpatia, qualità molto rare, abbiamo preso dei deliziosi supplì della casa, consigliati sempre da Valentino e da provare assolutamente, la pizza, anche qui provate quella della casa (pizza vecchia locanda) , e poi i dolci, fatti da loro! Una creme brûlé al pistacchio con pezzettini di cioccolato fondente, mitica, idem il tiramisù, se a tutto questo si aggiunge assenza di rumori della città e prezzi onestissimi, sicuramente torneremo per provare le altre pietanze !

27/06/2025: Ho contattato il ristorante tramite Just Eat ed ho pagato due volte quanto ordinato. Ho contattato il ristorante per il rimborso ed il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile; onesto al punto da dire "non voglio sapere nemmeno cosa è successo, le renderò la cifra spesa". Quanto ordinato era molto buono quindi oltre alla massima disponibilità ed onestà, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!

14/03/2025: Besides the kindness and generosity of Mimmo, the owner of this takeaway pizzeria, the pizza is excellent! The prices are super reasonable, but the flavor is more than up to par. The kebab is also super good. Thank you so much, and as always, your number one choice!

12/10/2025: Lots of games, and a fairly extensive menu. Despite the small space and few windows, the atmosphere is refined, calm, and pleasant. The only advice is to bring a few Piacenza or French cards.

29/05/2025: A place where you can feel at home, with delicious sandwiches and cold beer. But it's the staff that makes the difference, with a kindness and hospitality that will make you feel at home from the first time. Absolutely recommended for an evening with friends!

18/06/2025: Abbiamo semplicemente espresso su the fork la nostra esperienza su questo ristorante. Evidentemente essere sintetici non basta vista la risposta del proprietario che merita adeguata replica. Per quanto riguarda la qualità del cibo nulla a che dire, ma soffermiamoci su ciò che riteniamo migliorabile. Prenotato alle 20.30 e presentateci alle 20.40 circa con il locale all'interno semi vuoto e comunque con una prenotazione in corso di 1 ora di validità, un cameriere prima di indicarci il tavolo ci chiede da subito se volevamo dell'acqua. Ci avevano messo in un tavolo posto al buio tale da richiedere una migliore visione. Il cameriere ha così provveduto ad avvitare una lampadina posizionata su un lampadario al centro della sala, per quel che riguarda le pietanze, la carne era praticamente tiepida e il contorno di patate fredde. Dopo circa un 'ora che abbiamo atteso amici che finissero l'antipasto ci è stato detto che le nostre pietanze erano in cottura e udite sono arrivate dopo circa altri 45/50 minuti. Lo stesso cameriere informato del nostro disappunto notiziava il cuoco probabilmente proprietario il quale rammaricato chiedeva scuso per l'attesa e giustificava il fatto che la carne era fredda a causa della cottura al sangue. Ma le patate al sangue anche loro?? Tuttavia pur comprendendo tutto cio' vorrei dire è troppo facile fare leoni da tastiera quando invece mi preoccuperei di ovviare in modo garbato senza fare commenti del tutto gratuiti considerando che il tutto è avvenuto alla presenza di testimoni. Spero nell'utilità di questa recensione sia per lo staff del ristorante che per i clienti futuri.
