09/11/2025: Sunday lunch, quick service, excellent food. New favorite restaurant unlocked. Friendly and polite staff, and even though we hadn't booked, they easily found us a table on the terrace. The summer sea was the perfect backdrop.
We had spaghetti with clams (not lupini beans, REAL), a full appetizer, a mussel sauté, plus dessert, coffee, and wine. Very reasonable prices.

I've been ordering from this place since 2023, twice a week, always courteously and without ever complaining, even when the pizzas weren't ready at the agreed-upon time. Until July 2025, I considered myself a loyal customer.
That evening, however, I received three pizzas burned on the bottom, with a very noticeable bitter taste. For the first time, with tact and respect, I asked if there was a problem with the oven, clarifying that I'd always been satisfied in the past. The owner's response? No apology, just arrogance: she said she'd made them herself and that they were perfect, even going so far as to send me a photo of her pizza, as if my opinion didn't matter.
I've always waited patiently for my pizzas, even when I arrived on time and the owner was sitting at the table with her family having dinner, despite the restaurant's opening time being 6:00 PM. I've never complained.
For personal reasons, I haven't ordered since July. Yesterday, I was finally able to resume my usual pizza routine and decided to return, hoping for a more professional welcome. Bad idea. Instead, I encountered the same smug and rude attitude. I politely asked her son if I could pay first so the pizzas wouldn't get cold, since I live quite a distance away. Instead of taking care of it, the owner arrived and arrogantly told me, "Check them first, so if there are any problems, you can report them right away."
An unpleasant welcome, to say the least—as if she were assuming I'd complain again.
And as if that weren't enough, the same order that I'd always paid €24 suddenly went up to €30, without any explanation.
I'm sorry to say this, but I'll never set foot in that place again—and I told them so straight away.
It's not enough to know how to make pizza: you need to respect your customers, especially the loyal ones.
It's not a complaint that ruins a relationship, but the way you choose to respond. Giuliana

Dear Lorella,
Your response unfortunately confirms the impression I had: an arrogant and rude attitude toward anyone who expresses a negative opinion.
I never questioned the price or asked for discounts or special treatment. I could have paid more, but that certainly wasn't the point. The problem was the way I was treated, with a lack of respect that a customer—loyal or otherwise—should never receive.
I have never allowed myself to mistreat anyone or be disrespectful. In fact, I have always paid for and respected the work of others. But respect must be mutual.
Writing a review means sharing an experience, for better or for worse. Respect, however, should remain the foundation of discussion, something that unfortunately was completely lacking in your message.
Perhaps you should examine your conscience before gratuitously accusing someone who simply shares their experience. A negative review isn't a personal attack: it's an opinion.
His response, however, is.

PS: Did I ask for more pistachios? Yes! But I didn't ask for mortadella... Did I ask for porcini mushrooms? Yes! But I didn't ask for artichokes. Sure, they cost less, but as I said, I didn't decide the price... So no, I don't just write what I want.

18/11/2025: It was once one of the best pizzerias in Parioli, but it seems to be heading for a gradual decline. The food is no more than decent, and the service is inefficient even at off-peak hours. The prices are excessive for what they offer.
09/11/2025: Fantastic restaurant, you can go there without hesitation. A quick message for Christian, our waiter, and the whole team: bravo for your excellent French and great advice on the menu and cooking tips. Bravo and thank you so much for the limoncello.

04/11/2025: Recently dropped by a cozy spot for dinner — kind of a spontaneous idea since the bonus money I got from the website (the one shown in the photo) gave me the perfect excuse to go out. The evening turned out really nice: delicious seafood pasta, fresh and full of flavor, and great vibes overall.
21/10/2025: A lovely surprise in Rome... a nice location... not very big, but welcoming and warm... very kind and friendly staff... I stopped first for an aperitif... and then I tried the Gricia... strong but good flavors... their homemade desserts are a must-try at the end of the meal... I recommend it.

01/12/2025: It's a secret. I visited this place because my uncle recommended it. The view of the Colosseum is fantastic. I can't believe this place has one Michelin star. But it was incredibly hot even though I visited in early September. The shrimp risotto had gone bad, and it had a terrible fishy smell. I took one spoonful and didn't eat it. The server dropped the dessert on my spoon and refilled it. Does that mean the other food is delicious? Not at all.
The bread dipped in olive oil is the best. I've been to many other Michelin-starred restaurants, but this one shouldn't even deserve a star. It's questionable how it earned its star and maintains it. The only real reason is the view. Honestly, I spent over 1 million won on food alone. It would have been a lot more profitable to book a hotel with a Colosseum view and go somewhere else.

I made a mistake in my review. I'm so sorry to the head chef at Aroma. This place is truly the worst of the worst. The old Michelin stars should all be stripped away and replaced. Compared to the creative cuisine of new chefs, they've fallen into a rut, and Michelin stars, especially in Europe, are too busy cooking for themselves, so there's no progress.
What I mean is, there's no progress at all. Same menus, repeating menus, etc. Recently, I've been to Michelin restaurants in other countries and noticed that there are many new restaurants that are both creative and delicious. The service is also top-notch.
But how can a place like Aroma, with its abysmal service and food, receive a Michelin star? This isn't a recognition, it's a relationship.

14/04/2025: Frequento spesso ristoranti di alto livello, dove qualità, coerenza e professionalità vanno di pari passo con il prezzo. So cosa mangio e riconosco perfettamente quando mi si vuole prendere in giro.
Il cameriere ha avuto un atteggiamento di finta gentilezza dall’inizio alla fine: sorrisi forzati, zero attenzione reale e un tono quasi infastidito quando abbiamo osato segnalare un problema. Un servizio freddo e superficiale, tutt’altro che all’altezza del contesto che cercano di vendere.
Passando al cibo: i “ravioli cremolati con tartufo e gamberi” si sono rivelati dei banalissimi ravioli ricotta e spinaci, con tartufo grattugiato come se fosse parmigiano (zero aroma, zero eleganza) e gamberi buttati sopra a caso. Nessuna cremosità, nessuna armonia. Una presa in giro, punto.
Poi gli gnocchi con asparagi e gamberetti: immangiabili da quanto erano salati. Li abbiamo restituiti e nessuno si è degnato di chiederci scusa, né tantomeno di proporre un’alternativa. Totale disinteresse, come se fosse normale servire un piatto così e ignorare il cliente.
Infine, i “gamberi viola di Ponza scottati” si sono magicamente trasformati in semplici gamberi rossi, senza nemmeno una spiegazione o un minimo di onestà.
Un posto che si atteggia a ristorante di livello, ma che nella realtà è poco più di una trattoria rivisitata con pretese gourmet. Esperienza pessima sotto ogni punto di vista. Mai più.
