06/03/2026: A welcoming place, with the right lighting and perfect music. It creates the perfect atmosphere for spending time enjoying food and drinks. I discovered some excellent, high-quality craft beer, there's a wide selection of wines, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the porchetta-filled pizzas and the meatballs in tomato sauce—they're divine! The tiramisu is amazing. The service is fast, courteous, and friendly.

06/02/2026: Salty... From the food to the bill Besides the long wait, the appetizers were sparse and not for everyone, and the food was very salty. It's absurd that a restaurant, despite reservations, only had four tagliata (a type of cut of meat)... These were also extremely salty. The wait was unnerving because we had several servings. Finally, the price was also steep. We paid 40 euros per person, but it's worth much less. Avoid.

The slow service, which is objective and described by a significant number of customers, is striking, so it shouldn't be underestimated. Above all, however, is the arrogance in the responses to negative reviews. This is disturbing and, above all, makes it clear that criticism is absolutely not accepted or taken into consideration, and therefore there's no room for improvement. What a shame!!!

09/03/2026: Disappointed, disappointed and if I may say also annoyed by the lack of sense of care towards a customer who in any case is a person who is bringing you money even if not directly to the waiter, moral of the story I complain about an episode that took place last Wednesday at 1.15pm, I order a fettuccine cacio e pepe and the lady with "tied black hair" takes my order annoyed asking me if I was making the menu, since it was the second time I eat at Mattarello I was not aware of what this menu was and I asked her to explain to me, she upset answers me that having other tables she did not have time to give too many explanations and in three seconds explains to me that the menu included water and coffee, I stunned I answer that I was making this menu, she brings me the pasta with a hair, I point it out to her and she replies that it is not her fault as she did not cook the pasta even if the hair was black and long just like hers, I ignore it and eat this pasta nauseated to say the least, after not even 10 minutes I found this waitress who was talking to a colleague and had her hands in her hair, so I left the pasta and I didn't even want the coffee, but the fact is that I won't come back to this place if that girl is still working there.

09/05/2026: A truly terrible experience and completely unacceptable behavior from a brunette, bob-haired sales assistant. We had a cart with over €80 in shopping, and even though it was obvious we were carrying a large amount of items, we were forced to go to the express checkout. This was unprofessional, rude, and completely lacking in customer care. Fortunately, one of her colleagues was completely different: kind, polite, and helpful. He helped us immediately and, seeing the full cart, was speechless himself, so much so that he remarked to his colleague, "But they have a full cart." This episode demonstrates a complete lack of common sense and courtesy on the part of the sales assistant, who handled the situation superficially and arrogantly. A customer who spends over €80 deserves respect and assistance, not to be treated with annoyance and sent away without any consideration. I hope management takes action and reminds the staff how important good manners, professionalism, and respect are for those who choose to shop in the store.

30/11/2025: A blast from the past! A simple, welcoming, and warm atmosphere that takes you back to a bygone era, filled with books and antiques. Tasty, traditional dishes served by the kind and smiling owner. Everything is well-made, but the desserts are SUPERB. Donuts, nougat, and almond pastries made by her with excellent ingredients. We'll definitely be back for lunch and to buy sweets for Christmas. Thank you so much!

I find it to be the pizza of the past, reminding me of my childhood—simple, delicate, excellent. The service is very friendly, and it's always a pleasure to chat with the owners. 19/05/2026: I stayed at this hotel with a three-night reservation, but unfortunately, after the first night, I decided to leave because the experience was truly disappointing. The property appears very old and in need of a complete renovation: dirty walls, neglected rooms, and a general sense of lack of care and cleanliness. The bathroom was one of the worst aspects of my stay. The presence of an ashtray in the bathroom gave me the impression that smoking was permitted in the rooms, which I personally found unpleasant. The bathroom fixtures were also extremely dated, including the bidet soap dish, which was visibly worn and dirty. Furthermore, the shower water didn't drain properly, and after a few minutes, the shower tray would fill completely, forcing my feet to stand in stagnant water. I also felt uncomfortable in terms of hygiene. Anyone with allergies, especially dust mite allergies, should be careful before choosing this property. During the night, I had difficulty sleeping and even breathing due to the strong feeling of stuffiness and dust in the room. Finally, breakfast was very disappointing: I went down to the breakfast room, but seeing the situation, I decided to leave without even having breakfast. I hate to leave a negative review, but my experience was truly awful.

14/05/2026: A decidedly unsuitable hotel, especially for business travelers who simply need a clean and decent establishment. The rooms are extremely neglected: dirty and stained carpets, damaged fixtures, cracked walls, old and poorly maintained furnishings. There's a general feeling of poor hygiene and a complete lack of care. The breakfast is embarrassing: dry, very low-quality bread, and encrusted coffee cups. The overall impression is of a hotel stuck in the past, with no real interest in maintenance, cleanliness, or service quality. I would not recommend it, and frankly, its inclusion in business agreements should be reconsidered.

09/06/2026: The waiters were very kind, but the owners were very cold with new customers. The only good dish was the sautéed mussels. The fried calamari and anchovies were pitiful: the anchovies in particular had a strange, earthy flavor... never before! The clams tasted horrible. The next table, with guests the owner knew, received fried calamari that was less burnt and dry, and also included shrimp, which we weren't offered at all.

07/06/2026: The food was good... the service was good... except that we had to wait quite a while on a Saturday night. But I did like one thing... we both got the same thing... the amberjack. They brought me a portion that was a little more than half of my husband's portion. Which doesn't seem nice to me? At the table, but it was really almost half.... And there's one thing to say, though? That just before a nearby table who had ordered amberjack was told it was out... So I wonder... If they could have told us that too, because my portion was really half of my husband's, it doesn't seem nice to me... In the end, I ate half. Anyway, the service was good.

02/06/2026: We ate at this trattoria that smells like grandma's house. The food was good—homemade pasta (and you could taste it), generous portions, and friendly service. Very good value. For two; two starters, two main courses, two side dishes, and two desserts, including water, wine, and cover charge, we spent around €70 and left with very full bellies. I recommend anyone in the area to stop and eat here.

03/05/2026: Nestled in the forests surrounding the small medieval mountain village of Roccagiovine, the location is simple yet clean and well-maintained. Popular primarily with avid hikers and bikers, who, after traversing the area's famous rural trails, eager to please, settle down at the 1980s-style tables to tuck into their delicious, high-quality dishes. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. The only downside is the prices; a bit out of place for the format and the target audience. I give it a 7/5 rating, but with the bitterness of a trail cut short. This is my personal opinion, told with wit.

For breakfast: The simple croissant is unbeatable (the flavor of yesteryear) - very good coffee (try asking for the special version) - professionally prepared by the bartenders (nice and kind, like all the rest of the staff!) Highly recommended.
