29/04/2026: An excellent place to appreciate the quality of Sicilian cuisine and pastries. The arancini are excellent, available in a variety of flavors, in addition to the classic butter and ragù. There's indoor seating and a gazebo in the summer. I highly recommend it.

06/10/2025: Their mortadella pizza is so addictive, I always stop by every time I pass by and get a piece. The prices are also a pleasure to eat and a great way to indulge. My compliments to everyone, from the people behind the counter to those inside doing the (good) hard work.

I went to the restaurant on the evening of May 1st. I waited an hour in line to order and about an hour and a half to receive it. Extremely disorganized, short-staffed, and completely unprepared for such a varied menu. The fried calamari was rubbery, and the sea bream meatballs were slightly undercooked. The prices are very high for the portions and the quality of the food. The fish is fresh, but it's not worth spending so much and waiting so long (while being inundated with an ungodly fried stench). I do not recommend it.

If you have children, it's great because there's a playroom for them near the tables. The food is excellent, the menu is very good.

Roberto Dario Manola was the best.
Today I'm giving it 3 stars because there are new, less than polite people here, who have ruined the old atmosphere.
21/02/2026: There's no other butcher shop in Rome with this quality and expertise. Roberto Liberati sells nothing that isn't top-notch. Rice, flour, tomatoes, oil, and top-notch cheeses. Roberto also explains why he sells or doesn't sell a product, arguing with facts, not words. Here, if you ask, you can even find out what the animal ate before ending up on your plate. Sure, the prices are quite high, but it's better to eat less and eat quality.

09/05/2026: I just left this restaurant very disappointed. I ordered a flan, and the caramel was so dark, burnt, and bitter that it tasted like coffee.
After I politely asked the waiter to taste it, he insisted that I didn’t know how it was supposed to taste. He then started cutting the flan into pieces, trying to prove that it wasn’t burnt.
He then took the plate away, didn’t came back with any feedback and charged us the whole amount, in the most rude way possible!
On top of that, we ordered a carbonara that tasted like it was made with seawater. It was extremely salty and had only about three pieces of bacon.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!

We went with friends and had a wonderful time enjoying good food and great company. The dishes were tasty and well-prepared, with authentic flavors that evoke tradition. The staff was friendly and helpful.

06/04/2026: I've been coming to this place for over 10 years, but in recent years I've been disappointed. The waitresses aren't exactly friendly, always a bit snobbish, and I don't like the pizza anymore. Something has changed over the years, including the prices; I used to prefer it.

07/03/2026: Tremendous old school cooking in a place that looks like it hasn't changed in decades. We were recommended to come here by the boss of La Salute which was closed for renovation. Terrific antipasti selection. Worth a visit.
25/02/2026: A historic restaurant in Gaeta, every time you go on a trip, you eat at Masaniello. The fish is incredibly fresh, the service is impeccable, and the prices are affordable.

29/04/2026: I stumbled upon this place by chance and was thrilled with the food. A few days later, I went back and treated myself to a second pizza; the taste was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.
Since I don't speak Italian, the conversation was a little bumpy, but we managed.

24/01/2026: The place is adorable and very romantic, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the polpettine alla romana and the tonnarelli alla carbonara, and the food was outstanding. They also offer safe gluten-free options as a celiac, which made the experience even better. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I would definitely go back!
