09/02/2025: Honestly, I'm sorry to have to give such a low review for terrible customer service, because the menu is very good. However, a friend of mine and I arrived an hour and ten minutes before closing, at midnight, and we couldn't sit down because the restaurant, according to the dining room staff present at the time, told us that they closed at 11.15pm. Now, there are two things: either the staff didn't want to work, or the hours really are like that, and then it should be changed on the Google page. Because we have already come several times before, around the same time, and we have been served normally. I myself, working as a waitress, am aware of the "uncomfortable" hours we work; but if there is a timetable, that should be respected.

28/12/2024: It was time for our Italian Cooking Class! My son and I took the Metro, got off at Cipro and walked to La Nicchia Cafe. Our host greeted us. She had us go around and introduce ourselves, say where we were from and what we like to cook. There were 17 of us. We went inside where we sat at tables of 4. We had Prosecco and learned you drink Prosecco with appetizers because the bubbles don't fill you up. We were taught when you toast, you say "Chin chin", that's the sound of glasses clinking so hard that some of your drink goes into the other persons and theirs goes into yours so you know your drink is safe! Plus you look at thr other person in their eyes as you say, "Chin chin!" We were served plates with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, breads and 2 kinds of pestos. Pesto means to mash up, so there can be a variety of pestos to eat! We had Parmigiano Reggiano and learned about it's history. I don't know if I'll ever buy regular Parmesan cheese again! She taught us about balsamic vinegar, it should be thick with no added sugar. There was an one hundred year old bottle there for $1k! We learned about truffles too, and truffle dogs. I had no idea how expensive truffles really are. The host was quizzing us and I answered most of the questions. She called me her favorite student. Lol. They refilled our Prosecco a few times. We all were having such a great time! I gained so much knowledge. Then it was time to walk over to the next restaurant, Il Segreto. Highly recommend this place and the cooking class.

04/09/2024: We started a food tour we had booked in the café. The food on offer is of really high quality and the staff is very friendly. We ate green pesto, tried balsamic vinegar, oil and both black and white truffle pastes. You could clearly taste the quality and overall the ambience was small, but still very cute and made you feel good. I can therefore highly recommend the café!

18/01/2025: Quando vado a cena fuori tappa fissa solo ed esclusivamente al Picchio Allegro....ti siedi e vieni accolto dal Patron Max pronto a deliziarti con i suoi molteplici piatti tutti preparati con prodotti di alto livello culinario per poi passare alle tante varietà di pizza che sforna il mastro pizzaiolo Remo un istituzione del picchio.... Personale accogliente e disponibile (leggo recensioni aliene dove si parla di tempi d'attesa biblici....vi consiglio vivamente di andare al MEC Drive non ci mancherete). Grandeeee alla prossima....

23/11/2024: Everything is very clean except the inside of the pool whose side walls could use a good cleaning. Another hygienic flaw is that very few people take a shower before entering the water, especially in the water aerobics sector. I saw some even skip the small tub to wash their feet. It's a shame that the incivility of the people ruins this beautiful place where, I repeat, almost everything is very clean.

09/02/2025: BAD SERVICE TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID!!! We ordered and the food for 6 people arrived after 1 hour and 45 minutes, of which a first course with cold lobster and no flavour... an extra cocktail was added to the bill without having ordered it, after having paid and rechecked the receipt and pointed out the mistake to the presumptuous and arrogant "waiter", also annoyed because it was our fault! I give one star because ZERO is not possible!!!!!!!!

03/02/2025: Beautiful location. Fantastic location and perfect services. We had lunch and both the food and the service were of an excellent standard. The plus of this place is the excellently managed dog beach. Thanks to Federica for the advice and perfect organization.

28/01/2025: In an oasis of peace and tranquility, a day of total relaxation enjoying the lawn under a willow tree overlooking the lake. Good food accompanied a very pleasant day. Convenient parking. It is possible to access the beach even without having lunch at the restaurant. A picnic service is available on site.

20/01/2025: Locale piccolo ma carino. Personale molto gentile ma disorganizzato e distratto. Come antipasto olive ascolane e un fiore di zucca. AL POSTO DEL FIORE DI ZUCCA É ARRIVATO UN FILETTO DI BACCALÀ FRITTO. Quando lo abbiamo fatto notare erano stupiti anche loro che fosse pesce. Le pinse non erano male e PREZZO OTTIMO. 2 pinse acqua e olive a soli 19 euro( dato che il fiore di zucca lo ha tolto)

19/01/2025: Mi spiace leggere le varie recensioni negative su questo locale: effettivamente la gestione è cambiata e si sono spostati di qualche metro, ma la pinsa è sempre buona come la vecchia gestione. Locale nuovo e pulito, piatti e posate in vetro. Prezzi non eccessivi. Se vi capita fateci un salto

13/01/2025: The worst ice cream out of the 5 ice cream shops I tried in Rome. The ice cream is not smooth at all and you can still eat ice shards. The ice cream is not too creamy but sweet. The only thing worthy of praise is that the egg rolls are delicious and have a strong butter flavor.
