Despite so many people, I didn't wait more than 5 minutes. Compliments to the staff too. To conclude, a hot and well-organized shower.

04/07/2025: We had lunch last Sunday at this restaurant, my partner and I. We found a comfortable, clean, well-ordered environment, and in addition to this, the dishes that were served to us were good. Then, we wanted to praise the waitress who served us, whose name we do not know, but she had glasses, and a bob cut, brown in color, who was truly very kind, thoughtful, and professional. We will definitely return since we had a great time, not only for the food, but above all for the service that the waitress gave us.

05/07/2025: One of the nicest pizzerias I've ever been to. Clean, quiet, and delicious. We came here after the ceiling collapsed at a nearby restaurant. The man behind the counter --the owner? -- was extremely considerate despite it being late in the day. Highly recommend.

21/06/2025: Short cut Good potatoes Very good parmigiana Too bad about the bad experience with the meat, unfortunately it went a bit too far in conservation... It's not the first time that it happens to me in different places, I've always eaten meat and I know it well. It's not a question of aging or particular flavor of foreign meats, but rather of poorly preserved meat. Strong smell also felt at the next table, the diners at the table turn around and confirm that their meat (different cut) had the same smell and flavor. Obviously, as every time I kindly point it out, we are told that it is the type of meat... basically, the same story everywhere... more cuts of different types had the taste and smell of rotten meat... but oh well, maybe I'm crazy... To be precise, we are talking about the Brazilian cut that was supposed to be accompanied by Palmito... of which not even a shadow... Bread missing... Too bad because the fillet with truffle and the parmigiana are worth it, ruining yourself like this is a shame In the meantime, I'm walking around Gaeta at midnight looking for an open pizzeria after a day of fasting...

19/08/2025: Excellent place, an exquisite dish of fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and for the second course, Abruzzo arrosticini, well cooked, tasty and without burnt parts, compliments to the chef!

27/08/2025: At Dar Maghetto, you'll have a unique experience not just about food but about what we all call the vanished Rome of trattorias. Trattorias are about sharing, with their strengths and weaknesses. If you're a Roman, he might seem rude and grumpy, but he's only Roman! Behind those words and those gestures (which you have to learn to understand) lies a life of sacrifice and kindness. Even at almost eighty, you can't forget that's er MAGHETTO! You come in, you sit down, you make a joke, and you repeat it, sure he won't take offense (but you shouldn't be offended, otherwise it's worthless). You order drinks and chat, you order food and chat (with everyone, including foreigners; oh God, I even have a problem with talking to everyone). Then he comes to eat and you eat well, as tradition dictates in a trattoria with no frills but substance. Then er Maghetto arrives and asks, "Can you taste it for me to see if it's good?" A plate of tripe, obviously, it's Friday and Saturday in Rome, tripe is traditionally served. This is to make you understand that the food on the plate is also part of the experience, and the Maghetto experience is a 10 all-inclusive.

24/08/2025: What can I say? It's been managed by the same father and son team since the old days, always on point, authentic and down-to-earth Romans. If you're looking for gourmet food or a reinterpretation, don't go... but if you want to dive back into the '80s and feel like you're at your grandmother's house, then go. Flavors of yesteryear, authentic and genuine.

24/08/2025: The food was good, but unfortunately the experience was marred by the wait: we waited about two hours, and the dishes arrived 20 minutes apart, making it difficult to eat together. Furthermore, despite the fact that we were lactose intolerant, the incorrect dish was served, a situation that would have required greater attention. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but the service could be more organized and attentive to customer needs.

20/08/2025: We really enjoyed our stay. We've been back more than once, and they've always met our expectations! Fast service and gluten-free options. The food was really good. We recommend booking.

19/08/2025: Just had one of the best steaks ever cooked to perfection. Had 1kg of the Danish Fiorentina, with potatoes and salad and a pizza shared between 3. Initially I thought the waiter was a bit pushy but his recommendation for food and wine were spot on so no complaints there. Thoroughly recommended. PS. Can't understand why at the time of writing it has a below 4* review one of the best meals I've had on this trip.

04/08/2025: Unfortunately, politeness isn't for everyone, and this restaurant is damning proof. To err is human, and so is apologizing for terrible service. I've never seen such arrogance in my life; we had a truly unpleasant evening due to the arrogant responses of the owner, who kept grasping at straws to justify what was probably the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. After ordering a zucchini flower, which arrived frozen and was therefore returned, I was brought back the same zucchini flower I'd bitten off, reheated in the microwave, with all the water from the mozzarella that had now soaked the dish, and the frying oil that had leaked out of the breading had literally turned to mush. I was hoping to make up for it with a zucchini pizza, but it arrived with a dough about 1cm thick and completely raw, which made me feel sick all night. Not an apology from the owner, no regrets about the service, she kept saying that all this was "normal for things to happen." I wouldn't be surprised if I were to recognize the place in the next "kitchen nightmare" season.
