23/06/2025: Atmosphere and hospitality like among friends. Delicious food like at Nonna's. Quiet place, not crowded with tourists. We will gladly return! Even our dog was spoiled!

23/06/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance while out for a walk with our dog. The restaurant is simply decorated but has been lovingly decorated. It's located across the street from the crowded promenade, yet in a quieter location, which was perfect for us with our dog. I'm originally from Tuscany, which is why I wanted to try it, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff are great, the dishes are super fresh, and EVERYTHING is homemade - the owner catches the fish himself, the meat comes from his family's farm, his wife makes the daily desserts, and even the liqueurs/schnapps are (some of them) made by his mother. Really lovingly prepared, and very hospitable. I felt like I was at Nonna's house, the dishes were so authentic. We'd love to come back, it was great. Thank you so much!

05/06/2025: Sometimes... no dry white wine. Neither the white wine nor the Prosecco was dry... There was a large piece of plastic in the grilled calamari. The carpaccio was decent. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

01/06/2025: There were two of us. I strongly advise against this establishment, because we noticed that it's ONLY the number that counts... Between the aperitif and the bill, 30 minutes passed. Max. And what's more, the bill had to be checked. My wife ordered lasagna, and I ordered a grilled rib-eye steak... So the rib-eye steak was listed on the menu with potatoes, but I asked if I could have pasta instead of potatoes? He said yes, but when it came to the bill, they charged me €3 extra. I asked why this €3 increase? He didn't know what to say because he didn't think I would notice, much less speak Italian to them. In short, I strongly advise against this restaurant.

31/05/2025: Very good pizzas. The only thing they forgot was the garlic crust I ordered. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. A bit busy due to the touristy location.

07/05/2025: A corner of good food in the center and I was pleasantly surprised by it. The place is bright, with attention to detail, with a really nice atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is one of the strong points: welcoming, kind and always available with a smile, without ever being intrusive. They make you feel at home, and this feeling makes the experience even more pleasant. The food? really excellent. Each dish is prepared with care and you can feel the quality of the ingredients. A place that I recommend with enthusiasm, ideal for a relaxing break, a lunch with friends or a quiet dinner. I'll be back! 💙🩵

24/05/2025: The lamb chops with polenta and the pizza diavola with extra Gorgonzola were okay. Nothing special. The service was okay. One waitress just brought the drinks and food; she didn't speak to the customer. The bread from the coperto was brought with the main courses. The restaurant smelled strongly of a deep fryer. At the next table, a group was watching videos on their cell phones and listening loudly. The chef then joined them and made a loud comment.

21/05/2025: From the outside, the restaurant looks like a typical tourist spot – once inside, you're pleasantly surprised after the friendly welcome. The food was excellent, the beef fillet very reasonably priced at €22, and everything was very authentic Italian. Very good house wine, unobtrusive service. Thank you!

04/05/2025: We booked the room through Booking.com at the weekend, arrived at the accommodation, and were then directed to another hotel because there was a double booking for the actual room. The next day we were asked to leave one hotel at 10 a.m. and were only able to get into the room we had booked at 11 a.m. We were given another room earlier, but we weren't happy with the cleanliness because the showers were dirty and full of hair.

17/06/2025: The review refers to takeaway pizzas taken last Sunday. I ordered pizzas at the entrance and I was shocked by the fact that removing peppers from the pizza with vegetables cost me as an addition since the person who took the order ordered an "aubergines + courgettes" instead of writing "no peppers" or similar in the notes. The addition of buffalo mozzarella costs 4 euros. Crazy prices. The product, although good, does not justify these prices. I also asked for a focaccia (no sauce, no mozzarella) with raw tomatoes and mozzarella on top and they gave me a "buffalo mozzarella" making me pay another 2.20 euros for adding "cherry tomatoes" for a wrong pizza. Absurd. A positive note was the wait of about 10 minutes.

27/06/2025: Pizza not bad even if I have eaten better, prices increased considering it is a holiday resort but what bothered me most was the profit to round up the bill on the covers... €3.50 per person is a ROBBERY and without bread or breadsticks. I DEFINITELY DON'T THINK I WILL COME BACK AGAIN!!!!

03/06/2025: Excellent dinner in a quiet oasis, a bit of greenery and rustic style make you feel relaxed while enjoying meat or fish dishes of your choice, excellent selection of wines. Excellent management, highly recommended. I will definitely return

31/05/2025: Thank you for the good food and the sophisticated, friendly service! Going out to dinner in Lignano without a reservation (on a Saturday) is a real adventure. It was difficult, but Al Piccolo Cason made it possible. A cozy restaurant, a varied menu, and very good service. The prosciutto with burrata (starter) was excellent, the spaghetti vongole and carbonara were outstanding, and the prosecco was cold. All in all, a culinary delight with a fine ambiance.

08/06/2025: The waiter doesn't listen to what you order. Check your bill, as you might end up with extra items you didn't order. Simply embarrassing for a restaurant like this. We definitely won't be coming back.
