Inside there are very few seats, it's like feeling at home.
Traditional cuisine from "grandmother's recipes" are truly delicious.
We took a platter of delicious cheeses, dumplings with fondue and chestnuts and a boiler plate, the photo of which is missing because it lasted too short. Wide choice of wines.
A truly rare combination of kindness and sympathy
Highly recommended!

The only notable thing is the food. Very good. But at exorbitant prices. We paid more for dinner than for the room with breakfast...I wouldn't go back again.

05/01/2025: We went here for lunch after pampering ourselves at Vita Maris: the meal included in the package price was excellent. Mr. Marco was very kind in introducing us to the menu options and guiding us in choosing the dishes. Very fresh fish. A special mention for the excellent fried food and the truly amazing crepes suzette with orange and cointreau.

04/01/2025: The Pasticceria Triestina Ulcigrai is a historic pastry shop known and highly appreciated in Trieste, specifically located in the municipality of Muggia.
In the bar adjacent to the small production plant you can enjoy a good coffee accompanied by a brioche or a sweet slice fresh from the laboratory. In short... excellent products, fast and courteous service and a quality/price ratio that in my opinion is among the best that can be found at the moment, suggest that I recommend a stop if and when you are passing through the area!

29/12/2024: Beautiful venue inside a marina. On Saturday lunch we were welcomed with warmth and elegance by the owner. Tables well spaced and well set. The menu is delicious and original. The chef certainly has great imagination and creativity. Before the ordered dishes they brought us salted butter accompanied by an excellent hot focaccia and an entrée with fried sage and anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea. Much appreciated and delicious cuddle. We order an appetizer to share of fried sardines with horseradish mayonnaise. Very crispy fry! First, a homemade pappardella with cod and pecorino ragù and a seafood carbonara (chitarrina with squid ink, with carbonara sauce, cuttlefish, smoked swordfish, shallot chips). Beautiful, good and plentiful dishes. 3 glasses of Friulian wines. A bottle of water and a coffee. The coffee wasn't just ordinary coffee either: it was served with a nibble of chocolate mousse. A delicious lunch. A place to mark among your favourites. It's a shame that it isn't comfortable in our home but when we return to the Trieste Muggia area we will remember it! The very correct bill: 76 euros. Applause! Keep it up!

The restaurant, as we learned, changed owners in October 2024, so don't be put off by the previous reviews - it's an amazing gem in the middle of San Rocco marina. We were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely ambiance and interior, friendly and helpful staff and especially by the amazing food we enjoyed. We tried several dishes: scampi crudi and amazingly tender octopus for starters, followed by beef tagliatta and pasta carbonara - both made to perfection. Highly, highly recommended!

12/10/2024: Pizzas are no longer as good as they used to be. The dough on the thicker part (crust) looks ok on the outside, but on the inside you can see that it is undercooked.
