16/02/2025: This year, as a birthday present for my partner, I decided to give him an experience in this wonderful place. Experience to do if you are passing through Imola, or if like me you want to surprise your partner. Since it was his birthday on Wednesday, we opted for the Wednesday 70th menu. Various courses prepared by the chef, with wine tasting. When talking about a Michelin restaurant, it almost seems unnecessary to reiterate how excellent the food was. Everything, from appetizers to desserts. A month later I still think of that freshly baked loaf accompanied by Malga butter. I attach photos of the rest of the dishes, they speak for themselves Congratulations for everything!
15/02/2025: A Luxury to Savor and "Tell About" Thursday evening I had the pleasure of having dinner at San Domenico in Imola. We chose a tasting menu for couples, curious to be guided along a path designed to enhance the flavors and harmony between the dishes. The quality of the raw materials and the refinement of the wines were indisputable, as was the professionalism of the staff, always attentive and precise. However, what I missed was that extra touch that makes a gastronomic experience truly special. My only previous starred experience, in a refined restaurant in Rome, had left me with an indelible memory: each dish was told with passion, accompanied by a description that allowed you to understand its essence before even tasting it. Even the wine was not simply served, but introduced with details on its aromas and the sensations it would give. This evening, however, the explanations were limited to technical details on the cellar or the composition of the dishes, leaving me with the feeling that something was missing. Without that story that animates the flavors and transforms them into emotions, everything is reduced to an excellent dish and a good glass of wine, but nothing more. Furthermore, the environment was extremely quiet, almost to the point of creating a slight discomfort. If on the one hand this underlines the elegance and tradition of the place, on the other it made the atmosphere cold and distant. Being a luxury that I can allow myself perhaps once a year, I was hoping for something more, something that would leave its mark. The quality of the cuisine is undoubtedly up to the Michelin stars, but without a deeper involvement, everything risks remaining just a beautiful exercise in technique, rather than an experience to carry in the heart.

15/01/2025: Very positive experience in this restaurant which fully deserves the Michelin star. Tried the fish menu, all the dishes had excellent combinations that were perfectly matched with flavors that you don't get to taste every day. The service is also excellent.
23/11/2024: Mariano's cuisine is always excellent. Well-kept and quiet place in the center of Rimini. This time we relied completely on him and his 9-course "Hands free" menu with matching glasses of wine for each dish (desserts excluded). The bill was perhaps a little excessive but all in all an excellent dinner and excellent service. Thanks to all the Sfaff

19/01/2025: Eravamo scettici perché ci è parso subito come un posto sofisticato. Ma la gentilezza e la professionalità di Giovanni ci ha catturati all’istante. Veramente ottimi piatti e ottimo vino, Giovanni poi è molto attento alle esigenze sia di noi adulti che dei bambini e descrive ogni piatto in modo professionale e dettagliato. La location è molto curata e offre una vista davvero suggestiva tramite le grandi finestre della sala. Siamo contenti di essere inciampati per caso in questo ristorante che tra l’altro era uno dei pochi aperti in questa zona nel periodo di fine gennaio. Consigliamo ! :)

13/01/2025: I returned for dinner here after I had already been in the past and I had a good time eating dishes explained in detail and cared for and pampered all evening by the dining room staff. This time, however, it went differently, unfortunately. Apart from the apparently warm welcome, during the evening, the dishes were left at the table without any explanation. The chairs are not very comfortable. But at least the place was warm and clean. The maître d' was at times accommodating and at times pompous which does not help build customer loyalty. Paying €15 for a dessert that, apart from the shape of a chess piece, has nothing exceptional about it is, in my opinion, theft. The lemon sorbet I had was full of pieces of ice and was of truly mediocre quality: one of the worst I have ever been served but despite my complaint (I think of the chef) it was not replaced and I received no apology. . We also ate an aubergine parmigiana which was the only dish I liked. The two first courses ordered (and at prices that were definitely too high for a restaurant that isn't even starred) had incomprehensible tastes for me: the ravioli (a dish costing €18!) were bitter and I would have liked to have been offered parmesan to accompany them instead of grated bread (as said by the waitress) which evidently wasn't since it still tasted like fish, after tasting a couple I left them on the plate (anyway eaten by my friend since she was hungry) while the spaghettone was tasteless and still too raw and in any case nothing special and it certainly wasn't a €25 dish!! Even though you expressed my total dissatisfaction with the dinner at the checkout, I received no apology nor any attempt to mediate with a small discount. Discount although present on the discount for a ridiculous amount of €3 which certainly did not ease my mood. They are probably already so full of themselves that they don't accept criticism from customers. The price paid was definitely too high for the quality of the dishes offered. Never been treated with so much arrogance in a restaurant. I travel a lot for work and often visit several luxury restaurants and, with my previous experience, I must say that THIS RESTAURANT MUST AVOID in the future!! There are certainly better ones in the area... and if you want to eat good fish, it's better to go to the city. FAILED!

08/02/2025: Era un po' che non ritornavo in questo delizioso ristorante, con personale sempre gentile e preparatissima.da poco ho scoperto di avere dei problemi con il glutine e loro sono stati attentissimi in questo preparandomi del pane a parte. Abbiamo gustato del pesce di vino freschissimo e buono come non mai. Siamo stati consigliati bene anche per il vino, secondo me la perfezione assoluta questo posto.
04/02/2025: Cominciamo con la gentilezza e l’accoglienza veramente squisita. Cane ben accetto ed in più con un tavolo d’angolo per permettergli la massima comodità. Iniziamo con la tavolozza dei crudi,freschi ed assortiti,poi anguilla cbt fantastica come altrettanto buono(ma non come l’anguilla) il rombo con carciofi e chips di topinambur. Millefoglie alla crema con cioccolata o frutti di bosco ottima. Carta dei vini di buona qualità seppur non enciclopedica con ricarichi onesti. Servizio sorridente e professionale. Conto allineato alla qualità,alla location ed al servizio…pertanto giusto. Andateci e non ve ne pentirete.

24/02/2025: Con gli anni abbiamo imparato, che la stella Michelin non è di per se garanzia di una esperienza da ricordare, ma questa è l'eccezione che conferma la regola. Locale carino, ma minimal, senza eccessi. Tanto personale, alcuni non molto empatici, ma comunque tutti super cortesi. Abbiamo scelto il menù caccia, ed è stato un susseguirsi di piatti eccellenti. A cominciare dall'aperitivo, con diversi assaggi, tutti ben pensati ed eseguiti. Il menù comincia che un'eccezionale battuta d'anatra, con una carne dal sapore divino. A seguire il cinghiale, sorprendente per sapore e per come è costruito il piatto. Ottimi anche il risotto al colombaccio (forse un filo su di sapore) e la pernice rossa. Appena sotto il livello il cervo e il dolce, ma qui influisce anche la fame calante. Saltiamo l'opzione di aggiungere una degustazione di formaggi, ma il carrello è invitante. Carta vini enciclopedica, e con ricarichi ridicolmente bassi. Insomma uno stellato, dove il cibo è ottimo e non si spende una follia.
16/02/2025: Serata a dir poco fantastica passata in un luogo magico che non si può descrivere con le parole, piatti sublimi e calici di vino stratosferici in abbinamento per ogni portata, personale super professionale e super simpatico, se volete fare l'amore con il sapore non esiste posto più adatto.🤤 Grazie a tutto il ristorante per averci fatto passare una serata cosi splendida.🤩❤️🙏🏻

01/01/2025: I am Syrian, but born and raised in Bologna. This place was a great discovery, I found it perfect in all respects. Extremely helpful proletariat, sublime food quality and a very clean place. Definitely the best shaworma/falafel & co place in Bologna.
31/12/2024: The first time I had a Shawarma and I remember liking it. I recently got a Moutabal roll and a friend got the Shawarma which were good but two little problems that can be improved: both had more salt than was enough and the thing that disappointed us most was that only the piadina was heated while the seasoning inside was almost cold. Next time I come back I will ask for it to be piping hot and then I can add the other star! The owner is friendly and nice and you can see from the frequency that it is a popular place!

11/02/2025: It was a real pleasure to find this restaurant in the hills south of Bologna. From the start, Chef Andrea and his staff offered warm hospitality and simple explanations of their regional dishes. Between the salami dish, the tortellini in brodo, and the maccherone al ragù bianco dish, I really appreciated the mix of creativity and tradition with a light touch. Coming from Australia and living in Italy for years, I have been fortunate to have eaten good food all over Italy and beyond. Antica Trattoria La Grotta 1918 is truly a place to visit, and I will be returning with friends and family in the future. Thanks to Chef Andrea and Staff!
10/02/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday 8 February, intrigued by the numerous positive reviews and the Michelin Bib Gourmand badge. What can I say, chef Andrea Funi and all his staff reserve special attention for all customers. The chef, who is very present in the room, describes dishes, raw materials and preparations with commendable dedication. The dishes are simple traditional dishes but executed to perfection. We also returned for the Sunday lunch service, thanks to the chef who found us a table even though the restaurant was fully booked. In doing so we also tried other dishes including the fresh pasta rigorously rolled with a rolling pin by Mrs. Elena. Exceptional. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
