20/08/2025: Far from being "one of the best restaurants in Italy," no. This is undoubtedly one of the best in the world. Every course is an immense delight in the history of gastronomy. I'll stop here. Great Italian cuisine, revisited, not distorted, is HERE. Do you want to be amazed? You will be. A huge thank you to the founder Gianluigi Morini who watches over us from above, and to Valentino Marcattilii, Chef, who 40 years ago created today's recipes based on the ideas of Bergese, Chef of the House of Savoy. A tribute to Natale Marcattilii, Chef, the best in the world. Go to San Domenico, you will remember him with great joy, forever.

04/07/2025: My husband & I visited Osteria Francescana on September 2024, it has been a dream of ours as we continue to travel around the world and visit renowned restaurants. First, it was not an easy task to get a reservation. Second, we came in a season where the menu was representative of different parts of the world & it was different but beautifully crafted. We did not opt for the wine pairing, but we were recommended amazing glasses of wine. Ambience and service was very pleasant and the highlight was Chef Massimo making his was around to say hello to the tables. Modena is beautiful and I recommend you spend a day there as well.

10/08/2025: It's the restaurant that, a few years ago, opened up the world of exquisite cuisine and food/wine pairings to me. 🍷 I might not be objective, but even when we first came and were tempted by the tasting menu, we couldn't understand why this place didn't have a Michelin star. Now they have one, and it's well-deserved. 🤩 The great attention to customer service is noteworthy: they "invented" a menu for a vegetarian friend, it was touching. 😚 Andrea, the sommelier, is a force of nature, and his ability to surprise and delight is a quality that's far from obvious. On the other hand, his solid foundation and curiosity are reflected in a nearly infinite selection of wines. The entire staff, from the friendly and experienced head waiter to the dining room staff, is trained to enhance this wonderful dining experience: everyone always has the right smile, never intrusive, is available when needed, and has a highly appreciated ability to work in a group. ☺️ In conclusion, if it weren't so far from home, we'd be here every week: is that enough to understand how exceptional it is? 10/08/2025: Five because I reward those who put in the effort and a good dinner. The cheese and wine pairing was excellent, I'll remember it. I won't remember the zucchini dishes; I don't believe in their seasonal verve, I think they're good with berries. I think it's a more autumnal place. One criticism: I don't like presumption, and if I come to a Michelin-starred restaurant, I want to arrive with a clean slate, not with any expectation of wine or food knowledge. If I don't have that, I'll seem rude. I don't have that; I've tried many just out of curiosity, not to act like an expert. I won't judge you, except with a five, but don't judge those who come to you.
