28/12/2025: If you're looking for a place with a tourist menu, forget it. If you're looking for authentic, masterfully crafted traditional Sorrento dishes, this is the place for you. The gnocchi alla sorrentina are excellent, the eggplant parmigiana sublime, and the meat is a 10. In short, thanks to Antonio for his excellent recommendation.

07/01/2026: A New Year's Eve to forget: disorganization and serious safety lapses. We chose Antico Frantoio to spend New Year's Eve with our family, but the experience was terrible in every way, with serious shortcomings in both hospitality and safety. 1. Parking and disability management: We arrived at 7:36 PM and, despite the presence of my mother, a 100% disabled person, we were denied access to the upper parking lot, which was instead granted with consideration to other guests. The shuttles were few and completely disorganized. We had to carry my mother up a very steep hill on foot in sub-zero temperatures, despite having asked for an exception for her. This was shameful treatment, lacking any humane treatment. 2. Reception and Payments: Once we reached the top, we faced endless lines in the cold just to put down our coats and pay. It was absurd that immediate payment was required to access the table, and in my case, they only accepted cash, forcing me to borrow money from family members to avoid being left out. 3. Logistics and Service: The room was overcrowded: the tables were so crowded that even the waiters had trouble getting through. The portions, while good quality, were meager. The final insult came with the desserts and zampone: served as a buffet in another room without anyone notifying us. By the time we realized it, it was all gone. 4. Safety (Critical Point): The most serious aspect concerned the show. In a packed room, with wooden ceilings and curtains, the dancer manipulated open flames in an uncontrolled manner. In those crowded conditions, with escape routes difficult to access, it was an irresponsible risk. Had a fire broken out, it would have been a tragedy. Conclusion: A place that focuses entirely on numbers but neglects respect for customers and basic safety and accessibility standards. Highly not recommended, especially for those with elderly or disabled guests. To respond to the owner: We arrived at 7:36 PM, and the inhumanity you displayed toward a poor disabled person is shameful. We didn't skip any lines, and no one came to our table to inform us that desserts were in the other room. We have videos and testimonies; I want to understand what safety plan allows a dancer (not even a professional fakir) to spin flames in a crowded space far from emergency exits in a room made of wood and curtains. Perhaps, instead of wasting time responding to a review that should rouse your conscience, it would be appropriate to have our material reviewed by law enforcement. Perhaps only then will you understand that people's lives are not to be trifled with. Happy New Year to you.

20/12/2025: ...and then you meet Chef Esposito himself, who invites you into his restaurant. Which is what we did today, along with my wife, dog, and toddler. High expectations, all met beyond all expectations. The appetizer was fried cod in various sauces, paccheri with the freshest snapper sauce. The snapper fillet, deboned in front of you, was simply delicious. We'll be back. I love expectations fully met!

14/07/2025: We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Central Sorrento. Very comfortable family room for 4, which had 2 balconies and 2 rooms separated by a sliding door. Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and a reasonably large breakfast buffet selection - something for everyone. Relaxing wellness (purchased massages) and good size outdoor pool. Never too busy, and always found loungers. Great staff at the pool, a variety of drinks served and some food -mainly a lunch menu. Our room faced the street but we were never bothered by noise. Well insulated windows. The hotel and area was quiet, and far enough away from the center of town and the buzz of traffic and evening crowds. Yet only a few minutes walk from a wide selection of restaurants and shops. Will recommended to family and friends, and would be very happy to return. Thanks for a memorable stay in Sorrento!

08/07/2025: We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in Sorrento at Hotel Central Wellness and wish we stayed longer. Located in a great position with restaurants and shops at your doorstep. It couldn't be in a better position. We drove to the hotel and we could pull up right out the front to check in and unpack our luggage. Parking was just a couple of metres behind the hotel so easy to access. The hotel staff at check-in and breakfast where absolutely amazing. The decor was gorgeous throughout the hotel. The hotel was super clean and so well looked after. Our room was perfect. Great size, fresh, clean, a cute verandah and beautiful new bathroom. The breakfast was great, lots of options and delicious sweet cakes and pastries. The pool was a great size, water temperature perfect and right amount of sun, shade and lounge beds and umbrellas. There is not one thing to fault with this hotel. We will be back.

29/01/2026: Massively over hyped and over rated. Yes the view is great, but only if you are lucky enough to get a table to appreciate it while eating very average food, served by rude impatient waiters. I've been, won't be going back.

28/10/2025: It was absolutely outrageous! We only had a light lunch since we weren't very hungry – we shared three dishes. At the end, they charged us an extra €3 per person as a service charge, so a total of €12 for four people, and then another 10% service charge on top of that (another €12). When I asked why the service charge was doubled, they said one was for "taxes" and the other for the staff. So, basically, €24 in tips – completely excessive! Never again will I fall into such a tourist trap!

25/09/2025: Great sunset views. The entrance to the rooftop bar is through the hotel, via an elevator. Great lounge music with a live violinist!

10/09/2025: Great drinks, impeccable service, but the view is marvelous, right on the beach, magical sunset, incredible atmosphere.

03/01/2026: Despite the excellent reviews, the restaurant was very disappointing. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable, replaced by other dishes we hadn't requested. The long waits, however, were made up for by the owner's kindness, who offered focaccia and mozzarella to fill the gaps. We hope we have a chance to change our minds!

22/10/2025: We’ve been in Italy almost 7 days and this place by far has been the most tasteful restaurant, we had the gnocchi with clams , linguine margarita pizza and calamari and they all were amazing!! I recommend this place to everyone.

19/10/2025: I visited in October with my wife and one-year-old son. The service was professional and friendly, and they cooked my son the pasta we had brought from home. We had the gnocchi alla sorrentina, a pizza, and slow-cooked chicken. Everything was delicious, in a relaxing atmosphere right in the center of Sorrento. Highly recommended!

31/01/2026: We won't be returning to this place. We didn't like the pizza; it's not the typical pizza you'd expect in the South. The seafood scialatielli are their own invention, but they're not scialatielli, but that's what they're called. We found sand on our plate. Since I don't like leaving reviews without giving them a chance to fix the problem, we told the waiter, who then reported it to the owner. Luckily, she didn't charge us, but she seemed annoyed and didn't offer us alternatives. We left still hungry. It's a touristy place... There are better ones.

06/01/2026: How lovely We went on a Saturday evening during the Christmas period. The place was lovely, the service excellent, and the food good. I had the gnocco alla sorrentina, which was excellent. The others had pizza, which was also very good. We'll gladly return. Congratulations!
