25/08/2025: Good Ambiance, Not much product ( meat, Cheeses, pasta) overly priced my one obvious complaint was that I asked for the bill & mentioned to the gentleman is there gratuity included in the tab he said NO so I added10 % more but to my surprise once I had a chance to look at my receipt there was 21.00 Euro Coperto (3.00) each seven of very disappointing when you are sincere but taken advantage of , for that reason I would not recommend this establishment

27/07/2025: The Hotel Bellevue Syrene is an excellent choice for those seeking a romantic and refined location in Sorrento. The cuisine lives up to the setting: refined dishes, fresh ingredients, and special attention to those with food allergies. We dined overlooking the sea, enjoying raw seafood, lobster, and eggplant tortelli with stracciata. Recommended for those seeking the ultimate in relaxation, beauty, and quality. We'll definitely be back!

18/07/2025: Fantastic friendly family restaurant. We had lunch here several times during our stay, and were equally satisfied every time. Good food, good value for money, and friendly staff. Our absolute favorite in Sorrento. Note, they don't take reservations so there may be a bit of a wait for dinner.

21/07/2025: Great with food allergies. The can easily accommodate allergies. Food was delicious. We were repeat customers because of their varied menu that our children wanted to keep trying. Its in an alleyway - with indoor and outdoor seating. Go early or reserve ahead of time or your won't find a space.

18/07/2025: My wife's 40th anniversary dinner forgot to bring candle and a cake??? Not sure how this is possible. Food was nice, but again had to wait for steaks over an hour. Waiter was brilliant have no complains.

30/08/2025: Very good food, but cocktails were 25 euros (which isn’t listed on the menu) and the waiters will take advantage of tourists and hound you for a tip, which is not customary in Italy.

06/08/2025: I had gnocchi at O'Murzill and the overall experience was good. The gnocchi were delicious, with an excellent texture and flavor, very homemade. The only thing I wasn't entirely convinced about was that they came with too much sauce, which somewhat overpowered the dish, and they didn't offer grated cheese, which would have greatly improved the experience. The service was excellent, the waiter super friendly and attentive at all times.

14/08/2025: Super nice little snack bar. The food is fresh and you can create your own snack according to your desires! Friendly staff. Beautiful view for eating. I went there at 12:30 p.m. and there was no queue. I recommend it.

21/08/2025: Unfortunately, Il Buco does not live up to its Michelin star. The food seems passionless. We opted for the “I trust you” menu because we wanted to see what creative dishes the chef would come up with. Instead, we just got random dishes from the menu. Nothing about the choices was inventive and we honestly would have saved money if we ordered those dishes directly. The initial appetizers were very bland — and so while we were initially interested in the wine pairing, we switched to just ordering a bottle since we didn’t feel like the pairing would live up to our standards. It also felt unorganized - we had about 3-4 different servers all at once. Above all, it was a fine meal. But it doesn’t deserve the amount of money we paid. I wouldn’t go back.

20/08/2025: Il Buco benefits from a nice location, and the initial impression created by the first dining room adds a distinctive and charming touch to the restaurant’s atmosphere. However, we were seated in a back room, which unfortunately lacked the same refinement and ambiance, making it feel more like an ordinary restaurant rather than a Michelin-starred establishment. Service timing was uneven. The amuse-bouche was brought out immediately as we sat down, which felt rushed, while the starters followed only after a 20-minute wait. The food itself was acceptable, but it didn’t meet the high expectations one typically has for a Michelin-starred experience—flavors and presentation were fine, but not remarkable. The staff were friendly and polite throughout the evening, which we appreciated. However, the overall service fell short of Michelin standards. Several small but important details were missing: dishes were occasionally served without explanation, no one asked about our wine preferences, and there was a lack of attentiveness in areas like cleaning the table properly between courses. Another distraction was the sound of the dishwasher during our meal, as staff began cleaning up for the evening. This detracted from the atmosphere and made the dining experience feel rushed and unfinished. In summary, while Il Buco offers a pleasant setting and friendly staff, the overall experience did not live up to Michelin-star expectations. Key elements in service, timing, and attention to detail were lacking, leaving us with a sense of disappointment.

29/08/2025: Experience on 28 August 2025, 8:00pm. We went to this restaurant and we were fortunate enough to have a table. It was quite busy and also quite loud. The food was good, albeit the waiting time was quite long. We found it quite odd that the bread was served in a paper and not in a basket. All of this waa not a concern to me. However, I have found it extremely weird that the manager/waiter asked me for a tip. I initially declined, but gave a tip anyway to avoid any issue with him. Part of me thinks that once he figured out I am German, he spoke to me (in very good and fluent) German and pressed on me to give a tip for his younger colleague. Let me be clear that tipping is NOT customary in Italy. Sorrento being visited by many nationalities, particularly Americans, one might think that the customs in one’s home country apply in Italy as well. I would have liked to give more stars but judging from other people’s comments, I am feeling compelled to raise concerns on this restaurant as well.

27/08/2025: This was by far our favorite dining experience on our trip to Italy. The restaurant had a nice vibe with lots of different seating options. Everything we ordered was beyond incredible, the kind of meal where you are just in disbelief at how food can taste so wonderful. The staff were very very friendly and happy to accommodate our inability to speak in Italian very well. They were also very understanding when our card wasn’t working and allowed us to return to our hotel to get cash for them, which we really appreciated being out unprepared for an impromptu dinner. Manuel was mainly our server and he was amazing, although we had lovely interactions with many of the staff during our time before. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in Sorrento. Please please go try it!! Also note - as tourists we are warned to stay away from restaurants where staff are standing outside prompting you to eat there. We noticed while we were there that staff were sometimes outside greeting people walking by and saw a few other tourists turn away when this happened. I think they are just very friendly and happy to chat when they are not busy. Do not let this deter you from eating here, you will miss out on the best ever food!

01/09/2025: Menu choice is good, service is very efficient, atmosphere is great, the food presentation was fantastic. Taste of the food was slightly disappointing.

28/08/2025: The space was spacious and airy, the atmosphere was upscale, and the pizza was delicious. However, even though I deliberately visited during an off-peak time, the staff was rather indifferent. The food prices were generally 2-10 euros higher than other restaurants. When I paid, they asked if I wanted to tip, but it wasn't worth it. I experienced the incredible magic of receiving 12 euros for a margherita, 15 euros for a tasso pizza, and 38 euros for a bottle of water. They didn't even give me a detailed bill.
