18/07/2025: It's nothing more than making a good pizza!

26/06/2025: A discovery that really struck me. By chance I tried Donna Carmè's take-out pizza, then I went back for dinner, and I was struck by the quality of the product and the very low costs. Everything was really excellent, even the fried food prepared on the spot and above all made by them, nothing industrially frozen. Courtesy, cleanliness, kindness, in short it's a pleasure to return every time.

17/08/2025: We went on August 15th, so my review is on a very busy day. We had to wait a long time: we arrived at 1:30 PM and left at 6:00 PM. The lunch was good, the atmosphere was nice. The only downside—and that's why I'm giving the service one star—is that on that particular day, with so many people, the air conditioning either wasn't working or wasn't suitable for the space; in the end, everyone was holding a fan.

22/07/2025: This place is absolute bliss. Only a short drive to the main town of Forio this little gem is nestled up the mountain on a beautiful vineyard. The property itself is a privately owned vineyard with a handful of well appointed rooms overlooking the stunning island. The rooms were very clean with daily service, air conditioning, fridge, coffee facilities and safe box. The beds and pillows were nice and comfy. Our room had a terrace with 2 lounge chairs and a private jacuzzi, of course all with a view. Everyday we were treated with a typical Italian breakfast of a choice of fruits, yogurts, fresh pastries, coffee, juices and eggs. This place was a home away from home, the staff were super helpful and very friendly. The main pool is also very clean equipped with spa jets, surrounded by comfy loungers and over looking the island. A special thank you to Maria and Emma who took care of us during our stay. We also loved meeting the owner Luciano. If you are a looking to get away from the standard hotel booking and wanting something tranquil, picturesque and private this is the place for you. Could not highly recommend enough !

01/06/2025: Beautiful structure, in the middle of the vineyards. Perfect position to admire incredible sunsets. Maria welcomed us with the utmost courtesy and availability. Everything perfect!

27/08/2025: Extremely friendly and helpful staff The food is good quality. We've been twice. The first time we had an 8-star pizza, and the second time we had different dishes, also 8-star. No complaints about the speed of service. The waiter was very friendly, and the owner was too.

16/04/2025: After waiting for 1 hour and in a confirmed order from the store and while time was running and the countdown canceled our order, efood says that the store was closed or it rejected it but on google the store appears to be open, and as we know someone has to accept the order and needs approval. So goodbye meat we will not eat again....

21/07/2025: My partner and I were looking for a place where we could eat well, so we started searching on Google. Scrolling through, we were struck by the pictures of the dishes and the many positive reviews. Well, we can say it exceeded our expectations, which were high anyway. The place was very clean, welcoming, and the staff was available to satisfy our requests, a politeness that is rarely found in waiters. The pizza was delicious, very light and made with quality ingredients. Next time we return to Ischia, it will definitely be one of our stops.

30/07/2025: Unfortunately, I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. The evening was ruined by the total incompetence and rudeness of the waitress who served us (so to speak). After taking our order, she completely forgot about it, making us wait over half an hour without even stopping to apologize or explain. When we asked for an update, she responded rudely and annoyed, almost as if we were the ones who had made the mistake. Her tone throughout the evening was surly, arrogant, and completely disrespectful. No smile, no kindness; on the contrary, she treated us condescendingly, answering in monosyllables or even turning away while we were speaking. A waitress like that shouldn't work in public. She completely ruined the atmosphere, making us customers feel like a nuisance instead of paying guests. We will never return. And I strongly recommend avoiding this place unless you enjoy being ignored, mistreated, and served arrogantly.

19/07/2025: Wow, best tomato sauce ever. Out of the crowd place with terrace. Had a pizza & salad and it was delicious, the homemade tomato sauce was so good I would eat it with a spoon. 😂. Nice staff and great lunch!

12/08/2025: Went to Vanilla Wine Bar and Restaurant for my first meal in Castellammare, and it was even better than I hoped. Francesca gave fantastic recommendations and, when it started raining, kindly packed up pizza for my family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s run by a wonderful mother-and-sister team. This is a true family gem you won’t want to miss.

21/07/2025: Great cooking lesson at Vanilla with Paola and her family. We learnt about cooking pasta and traditions in Italy. Food was amazing, wine was excellent and company was the best. Highly recommend for dinner or the cooking lesson.

02/09/2025: ..AWAY FROM THE CROWDS! Absolutely lovely restaurant in a quiet setting away from the center crowds, heat and noise. We were eager for light lunch and they had just what we wanted…a delicious seafood salad…and a limoncello spritz! We hope to get back for dinner

02/09/2025: Chilling restaurant ⭐️ It was a bit pricey, but the taste was absolutely amazing🫰 I enjoyed the best seafood pasta and prosciutto in a calm atmosphere with few crowds. Grazie!!

05/07/2025: Giuseppe spoke English and he and the others helped us a lot with wet and dry. Lovely pizzas, cold drinks and a strong espresso. The place can be recommended to anyone who likes Italian food made without any frills. It was easy to connect to wifi via a QR code. It is quite possible to find good parking in the neighborhood.

12/07/2025: A good restaurant in the quiet Piazza Salvatore di Giacomo, in the Posillipo neighborhood. The quality of the ingredients is good (but be aware that some products are frozen), and the preparation of the dishes is equally excellent. In short, if you're looking for a good-quality restaurant where you can eat as if you were at home and without too many expectations, Al Poeta is the right choice.
