02/10/2025: Special Pub: 15 Years of Success — An Unforgettable Evening! The 15th anniversary celebration of Special Pub in Battipaglia was a truly fun event. The atmosphere was electrifying and the organization impeccable. We came to celebrate, but of course we also ate: the food was, once again, top-notch! Amazing sandwiches and specialties, a true guarantee of quality. The owners are fantastic people, and you can see how much they put into this place. Their friendliness and dedication are the true secret to Special's biennial success. A well-deserved achievement. Special Pub is an institution: the food is excellent and the atmosphere is even better!

29/09/2025: I'm giving 5 stars only because there aren't 100!!! What can I say, a stratospheric evening, finally an event where we had fun in a genuine way and felt at home, singing at the top of our lungs while laughing and enjoying the company of everyone present!!! The quality of the products is beyond discussion, starting from the originality of the platter to the goodness of the sandwiches!!! And as the icing on the cake (which was also delicious!!!) the fireworks, explosive and colorful like the owners!!! Special, what can I say, YOU ARE SIMPLY SPECIAL ❤️

03/12/2025: Bad experience at this restaurant, or rather snack bar. Not being Italian, we received no explanation about the concept or the prices. Afterwards, we understood that it's a selection of dishes and you pay for a plate of various items. €20 for seafood antipasti, €15 for the others. Except we only ordered one of each. As a result, we were charged for two plates, one containing a spoonful of octopus and the other a tomato and mozzarella salad, for €35... that's expensive for antipasti! Of course, we only found out after we'd eaten them; otherwise, we would have ordered more. Since we were hungry, we added a slice of pizza. No price displayed, no information, no advice. Final bill: €49 for eating in the cold because the door was left open. It wasn't the best outing of the year. It's a shame; a simple explanation and a more customer-friendly approach towards foreigners would have changed our experience. As it was, we really felt like we were being taken for fools.

02/12/2025: The squid was wonderfully tender, the fried dishes light, dry, and perfectly crispy – you can immediately taste the high-quality oil. Everything smells delicious and makes you want to eat right away. The menu is varied and offers local specialties made with fresh ingredients. A place for true lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. I will definitely be back.

09/11/2025: We ate good, authentic food. Mixed appetizer: ricotta and aged cheese served with honey, pumpkin parmigiana, mushrooms with cherry tomatoes, bruschetta with olives and truffle, bean and chestnut soup (excellent and plentiful). First courses: paccheri with creamed onions and caciocavallo cheese, fusilli avellinesi with sausage and mushrooms. Grilled meat: 1 sausage, 1 slice of pork belly, 1 slice of veal, 1 slice of pork. Dessert: creamed ricotta with chestnut cream and almond biscuit. SUPERB! I gave it 3 stars and not 5 for 2 reasons: 1. We were at a large table, and all the dishes were served at various points in the center of the table and had to be shared by 4 people. SOME OF THE PORTIONS WERE VERY SMALL AND AWKWARD TO SHARE. For example... The ricotta was cut into two slices for four people, the delicious pumpkin was served in a small pan to share, the paccheri were exactly THREE per person, which was really LITTLE even for a taste, the grilled meat described above was only 1 for four, and the slices of meat weren't even cut into strips to serve. 2. The place is VERY NOISY, I recommend finding some solution (sound-absorbing panels). It doesn't take much to get 5 stars.

08/09/2025: I had the pleasure of celebrating a special event, my daughter's first communion, at the Locanda Country House, and I can only praise this wonderful establishment. The dishes were delicious and refined. I can only say thank you to Michela and Pasquale. I would choose the Locanda Country House a thousand times over because they are people who work with their heart, taking care of every little detail. They are two wonderful people.

25/07/2025: La mia recensione riguarda le granite, il caffè freddo, ed il gelato nella brioche tiepida, che erano veramente buonissimi. Per questi prodotti conviene fermarsi sicuramente.

30/06/2025: Granita squisita, varia scelta di gusti, ne abbiamo provati molti, tutti buonissimi. Personale gentile. Super consigliato per una fresca pausa in qualsiasi momento della giornata.

15/11/2025: The best panuozzo I've ever eaten. Very fast service and very friendly staff. Very extensive menu with pizzas, panuozzos, and sandwiches. We'll definitely be back more often. I need to slowly try the entire menu.

03/11/2025: I returned after years, the place was renovated but the food was terrible, a miserable starter, 2 samples of first course, for the second course scraps of grilled meat that I only tasted tasted like spoiled meat, a very bad experience

29/09/2025: This was my first time at this restaurant, and it was recommended. Given its location, I expected much better food. The appetizer, consisting of vegetables and cured meats, was nothing special. The first course, bucatini with rabbit, tasted good, but the pasta was very, very overcooked. Then they brought us two samples of the first course, trofie alla siciliana, which were good, and another first course with minced meat and carrots was a bit washed out. For the second course, we had rabbit cacciatore, but I also found it quite stringy and the sauce reheated too many times. The French fries with mushrooms were good, the baked potatoes were too dry and inedible. Finally, the fruit and grandma's dessert, a tiny triangle, water, wine, and Coke, were €47 per person. For the quality of the food, I found the price too high. The staff was polite and attentive, the restaurant bright and clean, but if I were to recommend it for local food, I honestly wouldn't.

13/11/2025: A thief to avoid. When paying, my husband asked to pay in two installments, but the woman didn't understand and charged the entire amount to the bank card. The 50 euro note remained on the counter, as I saw when I left. Upon returning to France, I discovered that they had indeed debited my account for 81 euros. So they stole the 50 euros from me.

02/11/2025: I ate very well, delicious dishes, and the kitchen was very fast, but in the dining room they are disorganized, slow, and walk with their heads down, you always have to look at the tables so a gesture is enough to attract the waiter's attention without having to shout in the dining room to get attention! Everything is good but the service needs to be improved.

11/11/2025: We had a business dinner at this unpretentious restaurant. None of the dishes wowed us. Out of three, due to the quietness of the place, we were alone in the dining room. The owner is very friendly. Prices are reasonable.

02/08/2025: Absolutely fabulous hidden gem in the heart of Sorrento, near the Basilica. Staff lovely. Always remembered our order from previous visits! Loved this cafe/lounge bar so much that we visited every day of our 10 day stay, sometimes more than once a day. Best coffee in Sorrento!! See you next year!

01/08/2025: A beautiful spot in Sorrento with a wonderful design and feel to it. We have visited here a few times now during our stay and each time we cannot fault it. The staff are attentive and friendly and the drinks menu is fantastic. It just feels fun. If you are visiting Sorrento, I recommend a stop here for a nice cocktail or a refreshing aperitif.

07/09/2025: We had a great time. The place is beautiful, the sea is stunning, the property could use some renovation, but its location retains its charm. The entertainment was fantastic, we had a great time. My only complaint was the food; the food was good, but the side dishes were really poor for my taste. A buffet would have been nice, and I don't think they would have failed. Otherwise, everything was perfect, especially considering the price.

10/09/2025: We (a married couple) were there several times seven years ago. It's a simple terrace on the hillside, but the view is beautiful. It's also very cozy inside. The pizza was very good, and the gnocchi with ragu was satisfying. The Italian beer is also very good. We will be back.
