15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed excellent aperitivos here twice already. The low price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight. Thank you for that!

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

05/09/2025: Everything was delicious, Giovanni was really kind, we ate spaghetti carbonara and grillatto tuna fillet as a second course... everything was spectacular, we will be back

17/10/2025: We have had some great meals at some really good restaurants in our two weeks in Italy and this place was our run away favourite - we ate here 3 times. Our favourite dishes were the Fileja la Rossa (pasta with tomatoes, onion, olives and capers - perfect) and the Mastru Totu Pizza (topped with tomato, olives, capers, anchovies and burrata (like a cold Mozzarella but better)). Sitting outside in the small square beside the restaurant was a beautiful and peaceful place to eat. The service was brilliant. They were very apologetic that their internet was not working and we had to pay by cash (I am not sure why that would be an issue - I managed to live for 35 years without the Internet). In writing this review I am a bit shocked to see quite a few poor reviews. Hard to understand why, based on our experience this restaurant is brilliant.

13/10/2025: The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, even with our little girls. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Superb food featuring fish, octopus, and Tropea red onions. Highly recommended.

15/09/2025: A culinary gem in the heart of Tropea I was fortunate enough to discover this Italian restaurant during my visit to Tropea this summer. From the very first moment, the atmosphere envelops you: warm, welcoming, and full of the typical charm of southern Italy. The outdoor tables overlooking the picturesque streets make every meal feel special, whether day or night. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very professional, always smiling. You can tell they enjoy what they do and want every customer to have an unforgettable experience. Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared, with fresh and authentic ingredients. The pizzas, in particular, deserve a special mention: light and crispy dough, sauce with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and topping combinations that respect Italian tradition while still surprising. We also tried pastas and appetizers, and everything was of an extremely high standard. If you're in Tropea and looking for a place to eat really well, enjoy a charming atmosphere, and feel welcomed from the moment you walk in until you leave, you can't miss this restaurant. I would come back a thousand times over! 🇮🇹🍕🍷

14/10/2025: Stay away from this restaurant. The worst antipasti and pizza I've ever had in Italy. It's unacceptable. The antipasti tasted like it was fresh from a jar; the pickled tomatoes from the fresh-cut counter at Kaufland are worlds better. The pizza dough resembles a cake and is dry. Never again.

14/10/2025: The place doesn't even deserve one star. The prices are cheap, the ingredients are cheap and probably ended up on the pizza or appetizer plate through a screw cap. Watery, tasteless antipasti and sour fruit! Arrrg...

05/10/2025: Nice location! But otherwise, not recommended! First, the waiter brought white wine instead of red wine, and we only got bread upon request. Then my husband received the wrong main course, and he gave me pepperoni oil instead of oil for my tomato salad! My pasta with swordfish was very hard and swimming in oil! We wouldn't recommend it!

01/10/2025: We are in Tropea and we decide to eat in this "dreary place".... we sit down and when we ask for house wine they say they don't have it so we decide to get some beers... when we ask again what beers the place has (at the price of 5 euros each) they say they only have Draught beer and Peroni... we order the least bad 7 Peroni and 7 Draught beer arrives already opened without our consent... almost as if to say if you want it here you have to... the waiter's response to our appeal was "today we only have these", our supplier has only unloaded these... we ask the waiter how he can charge customers, in a hidden alley of Tropea, a Draught beer in a restaurant for 5 euros and he replies "don't worry" because you don't pay 5 euros for it, you pay less.. the bill arrives and we pay 35 euros for those 7 Draught beer that we never asked for without any adjustment and with an arrogant attitude from the staff.... It is not possible in this historical moment where everyone is having difficulty charging 5 euros for a Draught beer. (hot)...then don't complain that people don't fill the places... Profiteers and dishonest people, reading the reviews, it's not even the first time they've scammed people with the same excuse....Dreher is in the cellars....so be more honest and conscientious with people....I strongly advise against going there.....2 stars for the food because the fried food was barely adequate anyway...

21/10/2025: We stayed for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The location was excellent, very close to the sea. Efficient and comfortable services, close to the historic center. I highly recommend it.

19/07/2025: Sara och Antonio som driver Caffè del Corso är mycket trevliga. Deras glass och tartufo är riktigt bra. Antonio gör egen bergamottlikör som han gör goda spritz av.

18/10/2025: Mediocre food, less than pleasant atmosphere with rattling plastic tables. Major issue is non of the workers speak english or any other foreign language, not even Yes/no....the tone of the owner lets you feel like being scolded. Long story short not a place for tourists....

12/10/2025: The best fish steaks in Tropea at great prices and a beautiful view. We went here regularly in June and will come back in October... I hope they will be open with the same menu. You simply cannot miss it in Tropea.

08/09/2025: The location is lovely, offering a beautiful view of the Tropea sea. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man, but unfortunately, the man taking our orders arrived as soon as we were seated, rushing us, making it impossible to choose our dishes. He was also quite annoyed. Despite everything, we ate reasonably well, except for the first course, which, strangely, arrived less than five minutes later, so we assumed it was already ready. The tuna steak with onion was good, but I would pay more attention to the plating.

03/09/2025: I'll be brief because I almost never leave negative reviews, but I didn't feel like a tourist here, so I had to warn you. As soon as we arrived, they told us the starters weren't available. We asked for the tuna steak to be cooked more, which was brought without asking us how cooked it was. They said no because they had already closed the kitchen. 3 PM? Maybe 3:30 PM max? I asked to charge my phone and was told, "Madam, we're about to close, remember to take it back." So, a 5-minute charge was a blessing. Then they hadn't even asked for coffee yet, and the cashier lady, as she passed by, asked me to settle the bill because they were closing the counter. 😐 Well, now tell me, in a seaside place like Tropea, should tourists be served like this? I gave it 3 stars only for the view and the food, otherwise I would have given it 1 or 2 stars at most.

10/09/2025: The place is very nice, strategically located, and we ate well. The service was efficient, the dishes arrived relatively quickly, and the waiter (or owner) who served us was slightly suspicious and a bit too serious, but he still managed to do his job.

25/10/2025: The food is disgusting. They sell supermarket-style pre-pizza pizzas: inedible. The toasted pizza was fried; we had to throw it away. Only good for a snack.

11/10/2025: We had an okay meal at Hostaria Italiana. Our food was broadly okay, I ordered a pasta dish and my partner some fish. The fish was overcooked and my pasta with Tropea onions was nice, but not as good as others nearby. Good option if you’re just looking for something quick.

14/07/2025: Assolutamente da evitare. Io sono stata in molte pizzerie napoletane ma questa la peggiore...bordo alto...bello all'apparenza ma poi mangiandola pizza con mozzarella fredda e appena appena sciolta. Bordo crudo all interno e bruciato fuori. Calzone con impasto tutto crudo.mai più. E in più abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti e quando ho detto che ne ne sarei andata è arrivata dopo 5 minuti
