08/08/2024: Good pizza, menu with lots of choice. The kebab is also good. I recommend the pizza with kebab: fantastic! Furthermore, the owner prepares an excellent pinsa, very light and digestible. I take it very often and I would definitely recommend it. Good prices, also open at midday. There are some tables both outside and inside for eating on site.

26/06/2024: Ristorante con dehor dove vengono proiettate le partite di calcio. Un menù con più piatti di carne che non di pesce. Di molto buono abbiamo mangiato l hamburger con le patatine. Il tagliere di salumi e formaggi era appena sufficiente e gli spaghetti con vongole e cozze sembravano un piatto di pasta in bianco a cui avevano aggiunto dopo i molluschi...non era amalgamato. 28/08/2024: WRONG!!!!!!!!! LITTLE CLARITY. A bit long review but I hope you read it all. I found out about this restaurant through Instagram. I was struck by the view and especially by the table in front of the window where you can see a beautiful panorama. I book with a WhatsApp message asking, for lunch, the table in front of the window (the only one and only the others were distributed around the room which in any case have a view...even a table is near the balcony). Perfect shame that when I get there they ask me if I knew how it worked. I imagined it like any other restaurant. No. If you sit in front of the panoramic window you must necessarily consume two dishes each. This was not specified to me during booking. Once there we accept the proposal and sit down. We were given a menu without prices saying that we could take what we wanted (referring to two dishes each) and the cost would be €60.00 per person. We ordered two appetizers and two first courses. The starters are really skimpy compared to the price, while the first course is more abundant. The appetizers ordered did not have a surcharge or certainly it was not written on the menu but when the bill came the cost increased. We took the dish of the day: spaghetti with lobster sauce. In this case we were not told that the dish of the day had another cost (higher obviously). Then we add a glass of wine and a bottle of water. Long story short, two of us paid €220.00. Scrolled from start to finish. Lack of clarity which deceives the customer. The quality of the food must be paid for and I agree with it, at the same time I demand clarity to allow me to decide whether it is worth it or not.

27/08/2024: So, my girlfriend and I were on holiday in the splendid Tropea and, wanting to eat in a beautiful place for the occasion, we chose this place following the photos seen on the internet. We booked the table overlooking the sea during the sunset to have an experience to remember, when we arrived on site they made us sit at the booked table and only after having sat down did we find out, thanks to the staff, that the chosen table had a separate menu , which required a minimum spend of 60 euros for 2 courses and 75 euros per person for 3, excluding side dishes. The news, being kids anyway, made us laugh a little, but now sitting at the table we preferred not to say anything and looked at the menu. The food however, of course, was delicious, fresh and very tasty. The setting was very fascinating, the sunset over the sanctuary was breathtaking, however the table was quite "narrow" without much possibility of moving, the bathroom was nothing special. The discreet service, little analysis of the dishes when they were served, staff anxiously staring at the customers and as I mentioned before the detail of the different menu which we were not aware of until we sat down (without the possibility of choosing and in any case obviously finding ourselves in an embarrassing situation). In total for 2 starters, 2 second courses, 1 side dish and a bottle of water we spent 150 euros. We still spent a beautiful evening with a wonderful view, but we would have preferred to know the various details regarding the menu first, thus being free to choose.

23/08/2024: Non solo colazione sublime ogni giorno, ma anche apertivi, amari fatti in casa e tartufi che a Pizzo se li sognano. La Proprietaria è adorabile, attenta, dolce, professionale. Siamo contenti di averla conosciuta e siamo oltremodo felici di consigliare questo locale dove le cose si fanno bene, col cuore, con esperienza e come Vuole La vera tradizione. Diffidate di altre recensioni. Qua ne vale davvero la pena. Bravi!!!!

14/08/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo locale per un pranzo. Siamo stati accolti con grande simpatia e cordialità da uno dei titolari che essendo anche il cuoco ci ha illustrato il menù. Tutti piatti eccellenti e servizio attento ed atmosfera familiare. Ti senti come a casa di amici. Ci ritorneremo senz'altro!!! I ragazzi di Bologna ❤️💙

11/06/2024: We chose this place for the choice and originality of the various dishes, and we were not disappointed. The well-kept location is very suggestive. The owners and the guys who served the tables were really very kind and affable. Quick and careful. Good value for money. The spaghetti with clams is recommended. Really excellent. It would be ideal if there was some extra spaghetti Some dishes are more abundant, others less. Just a note... perhaps we need to work a little on the flavors of the homemade desserts. The lace truffle, however, is excellent. We will return to Tropea on our next holidays Advised!

14/08/2024: The portions are too small, and the staff are not friendly at all and a bit rude. The pasta with nduja was not good at all. it was mostly tomato sauce and red pepper. No sign of nduja in the dish.

11/08/2024: Decent risotto but muscles added with cold shells, mixed fried food inedible, rubbery for what we ate and spent too much

21/08/2024: I'm sorry to say but at least the dishes we took were absolutely not up to the price we paid. The spaghetti with clams was a simple garlic and oil with clams thrown in, no creaming in the clam water, therefore no cream: just oil. The linguine with seafood same problem: no creaming and only oil and cherry tomatoes. The quality of the products was sufficient, but the preparation is not up to current cuisines. Finally, the fried squid: the raw material was always good but the frying was too greasy, the oil dripped. Final verdict: excellent for rich students, with few demands and an iron stomach. Much less for aware adults looking for more than sufficient quality cuisine. Unfortunately, at least for me, I've been trying to digest fried food for 16 hours. They should do an update in the kitchen.

18/08/2024: Place with a nice terrace in the center that we do not recommend: unwelcoming staff, endless waiting (2 hours for a plate of pasta), cleanliness that leaves a lot to be desired and plentiful but not quality food.

26/08/2024: We came to Calabria for the first time from Frosinone. Like everyone (including you reading this) we were looking for a place to have dinner on the first evening and we discovered Nino. I'll tell you right away to be wary of anyone who writes "enough appetizer or things like that" or complains about the service. Remember that it's August and they have 3000 people per evening!!!! Everything is perfect, great food, I would recommend the house white wine, and if you want to try Calabrian meals you have to come here!! Let me start by saying this is said by a person from the Ciociaria cuisine (one of the best!) P.s. It's the second time I've been back in 3 days!

17/08/2024: It was for decades the most popular pizzeria in Tropea, with a long waiting line every night. This summer the first thing that caught my attention when I arrived was that there were several free tables after 9 p.m. and this continued throughout our dinner, without a line and with unoccupied tables. Later I understood why, the prices went up absurdly, for example before they charged a very low price for cutlery, now they charge 2 euros per person, the same as in higher-class restaurants, absurd, considering that the napkins are made of paper and they do not offer even a complimentary appetizer. The prices of antipasti, pizzas and desserts also increased considerably, with the aggravating factor that the quality of the pizzas, particularly the texture of the impasto (the dough) has decreased. The mozzarella and tuna pizza was mediocre with little flavor, little tuna. Luckily the red onion pizza from Tropea and Nduja saved the dinner, this one was tastier thanks to the sweetness of the excellent onion and the accentuated spiciness of the Nduja. The house wine in a jug is of low quality, especially the red and the white is served at room temperature, I had to repeatedly ask for ice since they forgot it. The dessert, a correct Pizzo's Tartufo. Price: Mozzarella and tuna pizza: 7 euros. Tropea and Nduja onion pizza: 8 euros. Tartuffe:6 euros. 1/2 liter of white wine: 6 euros. 1/4 liter of red wine: 3 euros. 2 🍴 cutlery: 4 euros. Total:34 euros. Other years we always repeat dinner at Vecchio Forno, this season one was enough. We were there on June 19, 2024.

22/09/2023: Abbiamo cenato e pranzato in questo posto ordinando il panino Tropeano, l'abbiamo trovato davvero ottimo, grande, preparato bene e con ingredienti e prodotti locali.I ragazzi che ci lavorano, anche se visti solo due volte, ci sono rimasti nel cuore, gentilissimi, bravi, volenterosi, professionali.Consiglio vivamente di andarci.In pieno centro e con un bellissimo cortile sul retro dove poter mangiare.
