25/08/2025: An incredible gem. We were in Tropea for nine nights, and it's the only restaurant we've ever returned to. It's impossible not to visit again. The "Antica Rimessa" appetizer is out of this world, as are the first and second courses. The fish is incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The service is informal yet extremely friendly and attentive. For me, it's the best restaurant in Tropea.

26/08/2025: My boyfriend and I dined at Pimm's restaurant in Tropea on August 18th, and while the food was good, what we saw was simply appalling. As soon as we entered, we noticed that the prices displayed outside didn't match those on the menu at the table, which were significantly higher. This was the first sign of a lack of transparency. The owner, while taking our order, didn't even look at us, too busy observing who was entering the restaurant. A few minutes later, he came back to ask us what we'd ordered to drink. Unprofessional. We ordered two glasses of white wine. They weren't poured at the table, but brought behind the bar. Looking closely, we saw the owner mixing wine from four different bottles to fill our glasses. An unacceptable practice. After tasting, we politely asked for the wine (which clearly had an altered taste), which was replaced with the bottle just opened: good wine, no complaints there. The biggest problem? The glasses we returned weren't thrown away. The cashier tasted them and then poured them back into the newly opened bottle, presumably to reuse or serve to other customers. This was clearly visible, both because we were sitting right next to the counter and because a mirror on the wall perfectly reflected every movement, even those made while trying to hide. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable, both from a hygienic and professional standpoint. It's a serious lack of respect for the customer. It's a real shame, because the food is worth it. But with this management, not only will we never return, but we strongly advise against this place.

07/01/2025: Bellissimo pranzo, fuori stagione, con tutta la famiglia. Gestore molto simpatico e cordiale: cibo molto buono, curato e ben strutturato. Veramente sopra ogni aspettativa! Ci siamo divertiti, mangiato bene e bevuto pure. Consigliamo per un buon passaggio con ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo!

13/08/2025: We visited this place during the week of August 15th and found a table right away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they knew how to manage the dining room well. We went to Don Rocco because we'd seen a fantastic aperitivo featuring both cooked and raw fish at a special price on Instagram, but in the end we opted for several dishes to share and sample. Pleasantly surprised, we recommend the peppered mussels... sublime to say the least! The view was spectacular, next to the Norman cathedral in a truly picturesque little square.

19/08/2025: We were in the mood for some good ice cream 🍨 There was friendliness at first, until we were asked to try a flavor we weren't familiar with, and it was refused! For us, who have traveled halfway around the world, this was the first time this had happened. From then on, the empathy began to crumble, and the service was very poor. We paid for an ice cream with two flavors, the amount of which was so tiny it didn't even reach the top of the cup. We were left speechless and unwilling to return. We believe the service isn't really like that and that we were unlucky on the day and time.

27/08/2025: A "tourist trap" restaurant in the center of Tropea. Very nice location, nothing to complain about... When we arrived at our table (which we had reserved), the placemats and cutlery trays were dirty and stained by previous diners, and they weren't even replaced. Terrible service: most of the staff in the dining room didn't even understand our requests for dishes on the menu. Every time we asked, we were told "I'll send him," I assume the owner, who never showed up. We ordered two pasta dishes (one with octopus and one with sardines) that were awful: the octopus pasta was so overcooked that you couldn't even lift it with a fork because it broke completely, and the sardines pasta was so heavily peppered that it was almost inedible. The octopus (CBT... let's talk about it!) was dry, with extremely dry mashed potatoes and semi-dried cherry tomatoes from a jar underneath. The appetizer (eggplant) was good. We then ordered a glass of wine, two glasses of prosecco, and water. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert, coffee, or anything, so we got up and went to the cashier. The bill: €92! But it's not so much the money, but the owner, who at the cashier saw us clearly annoyed and nervous and didn't even ask if something was wrong. In fact, when I complained that instead of prosecco, they charged us two glasses of sparkling wine for €6 each, he didn't even flinch. It's a real shame, because the place is beautiful, but offering service and dishes like the ones we ate last night is truly shameful. You do it with a tourist, maybe they won't tell you anything... You meet people in the industry like us, who do the same job, and understand what service, politeness, and good food mean, and you really make a terrible impression.

23/08/2025: This is now our absolute favorite restaurant in Tropea! We discovered this restaurant by chance and were immediately impressed. A beautiful location, a fantastic view, and sophisticated and very friendly service. They use ingredients typical of the region to create special dishes that we haven't encountered in other restaurants in town or the surrounding area. All the servers, without exception, were very attentive and undoubtedly experienced in fine service. Every dish we ordered arrived very quickly, or rather, within a reasonable timeframe. Our two-year-old son's meal was prioritized and brought ahead both times. We recommend reserving a table in advance, but it's still possible to get a table without a reservation in the early evening.

22/08/2025: The antipasto degli ulivi was fairly mediocre, with pseudo-Eurospin cured meats and cheeses, dirty plates, dirty cutlery, and inattentive and chaotic service. Not a great experience upon arrival in Tropea.

22/08/2025: I'm sorry, but there's a lot of work to be done. The service staff are very kind and attentive, but otherwise there's little to be gained. The coordinator's agitation indicates organizational and coordination issues with the kitchen. The dishes came out in installments; the paccheri (a €25 dish) were served completely overcooked twice; the bill included two extra bottles of water and a side dish that never arrived. We expected at least some acknowledgement of the poor service instead of a wry smile.

12/06/2025: Angelo Del Mare has the best seafood I've ever had in my life. We were in Tropea for 3 days and went to eat at this restaurant every single day! The staff is so warm and so friendly and truly make you feel like a part of their Italian family! The seafood is so fresh, it is caught that morning and they will tell you all about their catches of the day. The mussels were the freshest i've ever had and the swordfish and tuna steak literally melted in my mouth. The ambiance is so lovely, the restaurant has recently been renovated and is nautical themed and very modern! There is so much love in the food, in their service and in their hospitality, this place is truly one of a kind and I am still dreaming about it. If you are headed to Tropea, go to. Angelo del Mare - trust me, this will be the best seafood you will eat !

10/06/2025: Trust the “catch of the day” and they will not disappoint you. Excellent service, excellent quality and a great welcome. The fish market is located slightly outside the center of Tropea (in a side street) outside the “tourist” areas of the super center.
