15/05/2026: Excellent restaurant with a menu featuring the famous stockfish, which, in this case, comes from the Lofoten Islands (Norway). I had the pleasure of visiting these islands and saw how the stockfish is dried on trellises exposed to the air and wind without any further preparation, so the quality is exceptional.
La Taverna del Borgo manages to showcase this excellent raw material to the fullest. The various appetizers are the perfect way to begin this culinary experience. We then continued with the pasta del Borgo, which I highly recommend. A truly well-prepared dish, with all the flavors perfectly blended and perfectly savory, enhanced by the smoked ricotta from Mammola. For the main course, we opted for roast stockfish seasoned with just a drizzle of excellent extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt, allowing you to appreciate the exceptional quality of the raw material. The desserts were delicious, some homemade. The house red wine we drank was the only thing we quickly forgot, so for those who enjoy fine wines, it's best to choose from the menu. Special mention goes to the excellent homemade limoncello and licorice creams, which are offered in charming chilled bottles at the end of the meal.
