15/05/2025: Nice, welcoming restaurant with a family atmosphere. I ate a mixed appetizer and a tuna steak (I tried the rocket and parmesan) and I have to say it was all delicious!! Well done. I will definitely be back!!

09/06/2025: The first thing I noticed as soon as I entered was the welcome, then the kindness of the staff, and finally the goodness of everything we ate, goodness due both to the expert preparation of the dishes by the chef and to the quality of the raw materials used. 28/04/2025: Scoperto per caso siamo rimasti entusiasti. Location sul Lungomare di Marina di Davoli. Due locali, uno all'interno curato nei particolari e ben arredato, uno all'esterno in veranda prospiciente la spiaggia e il mare. Ampi spazi. Posto confortevole anche per gruppi. Menù ampio. Come prima volta ci prendiamo per antipasto uno gnocco fritto con crudo di Parma: speciale! Per primo ci prendiamo uno spaghetto allo Scoglio in crosta di pizza (con strato di pizza a "cartoccio" per far concentrare i profumi dei frutti di mare) e un pacchero alle alici con pistacchi tritati. Due piatti eccellenti. Vino bianco vivace calabrese. Caffè e Jefferson. Cortesia e gentilezza, direi oltre lo standard del luogo. Si va via con la voglia di tornare e assaporare altro del menù. Bravi tutti, complimenti!

04/10/2024: Sesto anno consecutivo di soggiorno. Ogni volta, l'ultimo giorno di permanenza é sinonimo di malinconia, perché si fa fatica a pensare di dover rinunciare a tutte le coccole che la gestione familiare ti riserva durante il soggiorno. Andando con ordine, la posizione del Gabbiano non ha eguali: la finestra della stanza affaccia sul mare distante a occhio e croce 30 metri. Le volte (poche, fortunatamente!) che ci siamo trovati a svegliarci presto, abbiamo visto nascere il sole dal mare: come dire, lo spettacolo é assicurato. Le stanze sono sicuramente spartane ma essenziali: i letti sono comodi ed il buon riposo é assicurato. La colazione é all'italiana: cappuccino e brioche, yogurt, marmellate, frutta e succhi. La sera, lo staff della cucina vi accoglie con il sorriso, la competenza e una professionalità senza eguali. Davide, il maître, sarà probabilmente la figura che più rimpiangerete quando lascerete il Gabbiano! Si fa in quattro per accontentarvi con il supporto e la pazienza della chef Alessandra che ai fornelli da il meglio di sé, senza dimenticare il lavoro di Diamante: omen nomen. Il fatto che ormai ci sia una clientela fissa ogni estate la dice lunga sulla qualità del servizio che il Gabbiano offre: chi ci viene una prima volta fa fatica a non ritornarci.

26/06/2025: Arriving at 2pm on a Thursday in June. 3 adults and 2 children aged 3/5 plus a baby PAYING €40 to stay in the pool for 2 hours. VERY DIRTY WATER FULL OF COCKROACHES, rude staff. It is shameful to want to promote tourism when to take a dip in what they consider a pool is nothing but BROWN concrete, the sunbeds all broken and umbrellas that did not even provide a minimum of shade.

17/05/2025: Very friendly staff, great wood oven baked pizza, a traditional stop for my family. In the photo my favourite pizza, the ‘cornetto di bufala’, but the other were great too: cappello di Totó with extra buffalo bocconcini, Marinara, and Norma (with roasted aubergines). Thanks guys for showing my son your ‘magic’ oven :) looking forward to seeing you again soon!

03/06/2025: The new management of Podere Pansera finally does justice to this wonderful place! Lush and well-kept countryside, silence, breathtaking views and a suggestive swimming pool. Welcoming and very clean rooms, incredibly kind and professional staff, excellent typical local cuisine and a breakfast so attentive and varied (with even high-quality pastry desserts) that it is worthy of note! A holiday of relaxation, peace and excursions! The elegance and cordiality in hospitality that you expect to find, perhaps, in the best tourist facilities in northern Italy has arrived in Calabria! Everything beyond expectations!
