20/07/2025: We stopped by chance to eat a quick meal and found ourselves in a very welcoming environment, first of all Federica who was able to recommend a hearty dinner, starter, first and second course of delicious local products and grilled meat cooked impeccably... we will return, I recommend it

20/07/2025: The pizza was excellent, just needing a little more cooking, but the ice creams weren't up to par. I don't recommend the tartufo di pizzo, as it's just a piece of ice cream cut from a tub. I also don't recommend the millefeuille, which is a mess with chocolate icing instead of chips. The cheesecake was good, but it was all melted because we were told it hadn't had time to cool. 🤔

13/08/2025: Delicious and delicious food! We had the mussels, the fried fish, and the grilled swordfish... all excellent! The place is informal and pleasant, with a truly friendly and attentive all-female staff. A true experience here in Scilla not to be missed! ❤️

14/08/2025: Absolutely one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever eaten at. Top-notch ingredients and craftsmanship! Prices are in keeping with the setting and absolutely justified by the quality. I recommend the Bussola appetizer and the raw ham. A fantastic experience! We've been twice in just a few days! If you're in or passing through Le Castella, you can't miss it. Make sure to book, as seating is limited.

13/08/2025: I'm sorry I can't join the chorus of positive reviews. Paying €50 for a scampi pasta dish and an octopus and potato appetizer, along with a bottle of water, isn't a trattoria-style price. The setting and the location don't justify this price tag, nor does the quality. The spaghetti with four small scampi was average, while the octopus and potatoes were flavorless, dressed with oil that was probably not seasonal, as it lacked the usual aroma and punch. A 25-30% lower price tag, or a more refined cuisine and table setting, makes sense.

12/06/2025: Everything was excellent, the Scottona meatballs were the best, the same for the Chianina... the only flaw... the knives... 4* for the service for this

20/05/2025: First we called to make a reservation, but the woman on the phone hung up twice after hearing me speak in English. We were very persistent and went without reservation anyway. And good thing we did - the waiter was very polite and friendly (and spoke English), and the meat was really tender and perfectly prepared.

30/07/2025: We went for dinner here last night and it was AMAZING!! The antipasti were delicious and the pinzas (we all shared several different types) were fantastic. Everything was so delicious. The service was amazing and the owner was very attentive and so nice. Definitely try them out if you’re in Locri!

29/07/2025: A must-visit spot just outside the center of Locri, heading towards Siderno. A highly digestible dough, attention to the finest ingredients, and a unique product give their pizza its own unique identity: the pizza is crispy on the bite, yet tender on the palate thanks to the baking process. The staff is highly knowledgeable and professional, while the owner, a very friendly person, will keep you company, explaining his philosophy and ensuring your stay is going smoothly. All the desserts are homemade.

01/08/2025: Laut Google noch zu und erst 19:00 Uhr offen. Konnten schon 18:00 rein, da Schild Open vor dem Eingang. Auf Anfrage ob wir essen können, kam die Antwort ja. Der Oktopus in Zwiebelsosse war der Hammer. Auch der gegrillte Oktopus war sehr gut. Rundherum ein tolles Essen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mit Google-Übersetzer ist vieles möglich.

23/07/2025: Seafood pasta was great. Chicken schnitzel with fries was great. They didn't make pizza at lunch time, which is disappointing for us.

21/07/2025: This restaurant was recommended by a local resident who stated that it has the absolute best authentic calabrese dishes in Amantea. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere and service. We’ll definitely be back.

15/07/2025: Abbiamo ordinato la pizza che è arrivata diversa dalla nostra preferenza sul menù, servizio disorganizzato camerieri impacciati vino caldo propongono il ghiaccio, assolutamente non ci ritornerei.

11/08/2025: This hotel holds a special place in my heart for its courtesy, helpfulness, and customer service. My husband and I have been coming back for 10 years: we feel right at home, and the food is top-notch. Every member of the staff is kind and welcoming, and Maria is an institution.

03/06/2025: I stayed during the June 2nd long weekend. Splendid hotel in an enchanting place. Very clean and magnificent staff (they managed the "miracle" of finding a tire dealer on a Sunday before June 2nd!). The restaurant was also good. Highly recommended.

10/08/2025: Mrs. Daniela welcomed us warmly and made us feel comfortable (we were two parents with a small child). A lovely place, with traditional dishes and more, exceptional food quality and preparation, and friendly, attentive service. Kudos to Daniela and her husband for running this business; when someone puts passion into what they do, the results are evident. I recommend making a reservation to ensure a seat. Really well done, I hope to return!

05/08/2025: Very well-kept restaurant, high-quality dishes made with local ingredients. Prices are moderately low. Highly recommended! There were four of us, and we all had different dishes; all of them were high quality.

27/07/2025: Avevo letto le recensioni e prenotato il pranzo. Avevo buone aspettative ma andiamo con ordine. Il locale si inserisce all'interno delle offerte di ristorazione dell'area del lago Ampollino. Offre anche il servizio bar e tabacchi. Il ristorante è all'interno di una baita caratteristica con un esterno molto curata anche con alcune piante. L'interno si presenta invece molto trascurato, sedie di diversa tipologia alcune addirittura con il cellophane per non sporcare (!!) . Ad abbellire L'interno alcuni souvenir in vendita ed alcuni oggetti ( candela con i gatti) che sono totalmente avulsi dal contesto. Il servizio è complessivamente buono, i ragazzi si impegnano per garantire ogni necessità ai clienti, sebbene in alcuni casi molto lento. Il cibo è buono ed il costo a mio avviso è leggermente sopra la media. Altro discorso riguarderebbe il lago che potrebbe avere un alto potenziale attrattivo per i turisti ma sembra totalmente abbandonato

11/07/2025: My wife and I went on Friday, July 11th, and were served by a rude and racist waitress who seated us at the bar in the restaurant, which was 70 percent full. She also refused to let us bring a pizza. It's a shame that an employee like that would ruin the place.

20/08/2025: What can I say, artisanal ice cream with a G, delicious brioche, everything perfect, wonderful staff, the lady at the cashier was very friendly, I'll be back!

17/05/2025: Truly excellent cuisine! When we were informed of intolerances on site, they quickly provided alternatives to the fixed menu for the evening, and the variations offered were truly amazing! Attentive and kind staff... we will definitely be back
