01/09/2025: We stopped "by mistake" because it was close to the B&B where we were staying. And thank goodness! The food was phenomenal! Fresh, plentiful, and unexpectedly CHEAP! The wait staff were super friendly. What can I say... it couldn't have been better!

24/08/2025: Very poor service. Ordered dishes were forgotten. Drinks were sometimes only brought after being asked. Waiting time for two pizzas was two hours. The pizza dough was the worst I've had in Italy.

10/01/2026: We went to this place on the evening of December 27th. The wait was endless, and the staff was rude. We waited two hours for fries and were told, "We're not McDonald's." We waited three hours for pizzas. You can do the math!

29/12/2025: We sat down at 8:15 PM, and the pizza arrived at 10:15 PM! 2 wines selected from the menu were unavailable. Otherwise, the place was comfortable and the atmosphere was refined. (After an excruciating wait), the food was good, but the experience was still negatively impacted by the ridiculously long service times.

06/02/2026: I stopped by chance for dinner. I was on my way to eat elsewhere but entered La Cantina, captivated by the view from the outside and without any prior information. I was greeted by a very kind young woman who was very attentive in understanding exactly what I wanted and who, throughout the dinner, always returned at the right time, never earlier or later. The place did not disappoint the expectations I had formed from the outside, meticulously cared for in every detail, such as on the wall next to my table, a display case with antique mechanical alarm clocks. I ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses and a delicious, slightly spicy jam, then moved on to the first course, tagliolini with white ragù and porcini mushrooms, and finished with a salted caramel cheesecake. Every dish was beautifully presented; the tagliolini with ragù was truly sublime, the white ragù and porcini mushrooms were extraordinary together, and the dessert was also excellent. I will definitely return; I think it's a must-see in Polistena. Price in line with quality and quantity.

08/10/2025: Dinner was an amazing experience. It was a set tasting menu. Antipasto consisted of at least 7 items, a variety from sea and land. The pasta and seafood secondo were delicious. The wine that was recommended was also delicious and paired well with the meal. The decor is so quaint. The restaurant is actually an old storage room "Catoja" where wine, cheese, salami, etc were stored before refrigerators. The tablecloths were hand crocheted. We requested local music and they were happy to oblige. It was my birthday and our server went to the trouble of putting a candle ony dessert. We would not hesitate to return.
