15/11/2024: Passing through Praia a mare we were attracted by a queue of people who were on the waiting list to enter. Intrigued, we asked if it was possible to have dinner even though we didn't have a reservation. The reservation clerk immediately found us accommodation.. We ordered some truly spectacular pizzas... light dough and excellent quality ingredients. Excellent service. Really beautiful location facing the sea.

27/03/2025: Excellent products, we had breakfast with cappuccino and white Viennese, perfect: soft as it should be (and I assure you that not everyone manages to do it) and filled with cream... top. We also ordered mixed pastries to take away and almond ones to take on the go, the latter, if you want, they prepare them in vacuum-packed trays, furthermore, the girl at the counter, let us taste two, one with bergamot and one with black cherry inside, exquisite. Gluten free products also available. The rest of the staff is also kind and helpful. Admire the photos and then go and taste these delicacies. Fair prices and not exaggerated.

25/03/2025: If you want to taste the new recipe from the pastry shop bar san Francesco in sbarre centrali, order the famous tiramisu profiteroles and when you go to pick up the dessert you will be given the famous FROZEN tiramisu profiteroles, be careful that the WITH is not a conjunction but rather they are frozen. Obviously if I order a dessert from an ARTISAN pastry shop I expect the dessert to be prepared on the same day, because I go and buy the frozen or deep-frozen one at the hard discount store for 1/4 of what I pay for it at the bar san Francesco and, imagine the embarrassment when you are a guest and you bring this dessert, which should be soft, fluffy and velvety, and you notice the hostess trying to portion the profiteroles and sweating because they are so hard, (even after an hour from the purchase). After contacting the pastry shop, the kind Mr. Pietro, trying to save face, invited me to come and get another dessert. In the late afternoon my son returned to the bar and asked for the s. Pietro, the cashier introduced herself as the manager and after listening to the request, to make a long story short, she began to shout in an offensive manner, also considering the presence of other customers, and despite having been invited to confront Pietro, she did not do so and after an unnecessary wait proceeded in an .... offensive manner, to refund. I apologize for the length, but unfortunately the customer in Reggio is never right.

26/01/2025: Abbiamo cenato al BorgoRosso per 3 sere a gennaio di quest'anno. L' ambiente è familiare ma di assoluta professionalità. La prima sera ci hanno proposto la pasta di casa con la carne di capra, mia moglie non ama molto questo tipo di carne ed era un po' perplessa. Su mia insistenza abbiamo accettato la proposta ed è stata una sorpresa fantastica. Pasta buonissima ed il sugo eccezionale, la carne si scioglieva in bocca. Abbiamo bevuto una bottiglia di Cirò Rosso che si sposava benissimo con questa tipologia di portata. A fine cena abbiamo chiesto se, la sera successiva, era possibile assaggiare le loro famose cotolette di alici e la proprietaria, che è anche la cuoca, ci ha detto che avrebbe fatto il posso per trovarle e....il giorno dopo aveva trovato le alici. Ci ha stupito la gentilezza che ci aveva riservato. Le cotolette erano deliziose e abbiano proseguito con i primi, le chitarre con alici e bottarga....il mare è entrato in bocca!!!! Una vera delizia, erano anni che non sentivo questa sensazione. Poi il cameriere, veramente gentile e presente, ci ha consigliato la torta al limone e la crostata, anche queste fatte in casa. E che dire, anche i dolci buonissimi. A fine cena ci siamo messi a parlare con proprietaria ed il figlio, che fa le pizze e ci hanno consigliato di provare anche queste. Per l' ultima cena che abbiamo fatto lì abbiamo provato le pizze, una tipica con la nduja ed una con lo speck (non proprio tipico della zona). L' impasto era croccante, la qualità dei prodotti, compreso lo speck, di alto livello. Che dire, è da oltre 20 anni che andiamo in Calabria, mia moglie ha i genitori che abitano lì, pochissime volte abbiamo trovato un connubio perfetto tra gentilezza, tempi di attesa, rapporto prezzo - qualità e professionalità così elevati. Sicuramente diventerà il nostro ristorante di riferimento quando saremo lì. Grazie per averci "coccolati" con le vostre specialità.

26/01/2025: We dined at BorgoRosso for 3 evenings in January this year. The environment is familiar but of absolute professionalism. The first evening they offered us homemade pasta with goat meat, my wife doesn't like this type of meat very much and was a bit perplexed. At my insistence we accepted the proposal and it was a fantastic surprise. Delicious pasta and exceptional sauce, the meat melted in your mouth. We drank a bottle of Cirò Rosso which went very well with this type of course. At the end of dinner we asked if, the following evening, it was possible to taste their famous anchovy cutlets and the owner, who is also the cook, told us that she would do everything she could to find them and... the next day she had found the anchovies. We were amazed by the kindness he had shown us. The cutlets were delicious and they continued with the first courses, the guitars with anchovies and bottarga....the sea entered our mouths!!!! A real delight, I hadn't felt this sensation in years. Then the waiter, really kind and present, recommended the lemon cake and the tart, also homemade. And what can I say, the desserts are also delicious. At the end of dinner we started talking to the owner and her son, who makes the pizzas, and they advised us to try these too. For the last dinner we had there we tried the pizzas, a typical one with nduja and one with speck (not really typical of the area). The dough was crunchy, the quality of the products, including the speck, of a high standard. What can I say, we have been going to Calabria for over 20 years, my wife has parents who live there, very few times have we found such a perfect combination of kindness, waiting times, price-quality ratio and professionalism. It will definitely become our go-to restaurant when we are there. Thank you for "pampering" us with your specialties.

19/03/2025: Locale altissimi livelli torniamo sempre con piacere , ottima qualità serietà giusto vedendo la recensione della sig.che diceva per quanto riguarda i funghi congelati sig. Ma lei capisce di questi gioielli ??? Ma sa che ci sono le stagioni di averli freschi??? Oppure lei vive in paesi dove funghi e tartufi ci sono tutto l'anno??? Prima di scrivere infamazioni false cattiva puplicita' pensateci a chi lavora con serietà e onestà fatevi un esame di coscienza. Ragazzi avanti tutta siete grandi ah sig.vede che all'interno dell'equipe c'è il noto micologo della calabria eugenio Porcella chieda pure a lui la provenienza dei funghi trattati a retrogusto !!! Tutti bravi dietro il cellulare ... a diffamare.......ottima pizza ottimi primi per non dire dei secondi !!!!!

26/02/2025: Trovo triste che un locale che cita funghi e tartufi come specialità caratteristiche serva poi funghi porcini congelati e crema di tartufo. Alla espressa richiesta ci hanno risposto che non hanno tartufo fresco e che non avevano funghi freschi.

01/04/2025: The staff is very nice and attentive and also speaks a little English. You can sit inside and outside. We found the atmosphere pleasant. The menu has a good range of Italian dishes. The prices are rather cheap. Our two pizzas Capriccioso and Napoli were there after 15 minutes and were very good. We paid €25 for two very large and very good pizzas and half a liter of wine. That's cheap.

28/03/2025: We went there on the recommendation of a friend. Typical Crotone cuisine. Super good covatelli, well cooked and tasty meat. Highly recommended for a dinner with friends or family. Attentive and helpful staff. COMPLIMENTS!!!
