04/05/2025: I ended up at Giò’s pub after walking around Scalia a bit trying to find something for dinner. In Italy, everything Seems to fall into two categories, street food or fine dining. As soon as you walk into Giò’s, you notice the casual atmosphere. Families and young people enjoying time together with burgers and food free of pretense. I had the jalapeño poppers and a burger that I almost couldn’t finish. The topper? Ice. I got a glass of ice for my Coke. Lol, as an Americano it’s the small things in Italy that matter. I really enjoyed the energy of the customers and the service kept up with a full house. Bravo!

19/01/2025: I give 5 stars because it is a truly unique place in the historic center of Scalea... the owner is very professional and friendly, having an intolerance they helped me with everything with total transparency... I highly recommend

30/08/2024: A beautiful location in the mountains near the restaurant there is a children's park with slides and swings plus a fountain and turtles inside, with a bar. The restaurant is family-run, the father takes the orders and the children bring the dishes, the other part of the family is in the kitchen. The service was a little slow, the food was excellent, they don't have food for those with celiac disease or lactose-free food. The prices are good and then obviously at the end of the shift the father always applies a bit of a discount when doing the billing. Also worth visiting is the town and the spectacular fortress... Come by

19/03/2025: A really nice bar. Excellent for breakfasts and snacks, always with a wide choice of pastries. Lots of cakes always ready and available. Various pastries. Polite and friendly staff Always clean and tidy environment!

25/02/2025: A friend of mine, a passionate gourmet, gave me some of your nougats as a gift. I have to compliment them because they are really excellent. High quality hazelnuts, almonds and chocolate. 05/04/2025: Location perfetta e ambiente molto familiare. Cibo di alta qualità dove si possono assaporare i veri sapori calabresi. Una delle pizze migliori della provincia di Cosenza, fra i vari impasti che si possono scegliere, spiccano quello napoletano ed il classico calabrese. Una chicca, il sushi di pizza. Possibilità di scelta anche per celiaci o intolleranti al lattosio. Torno sempre con piacere.

04/04/2025: The Locanda degli Antichi Sapori is not a very large place but very welcoming. The management is family-run and this is also immediately evident with the service, in fact you feel at ease, you feel at home. The pizza is very good, with the possibility of a wide choice. Good prices too, I recommend it.

09/06/2025: Per la seconda volta sono venuto a pranzo e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. L' unica osservazione che devo fare in questa occasione, è che i gamberi non erano freschi perché non si sbucciavano ed il gusto lasciava a desiderare. Per il resto tutto buono come sempre.
