29/12/2025: The QR code menu is a big turnoff. If you don't eat here often or eat Japanese you will struggle. We had to ask for a pen and paper so we can write down what we wanted. Then we got told the sake I picked wasn't available. Food was good and fresh but quite expensive compared to what we generally have.

21/12/2025: My partner and I were the last to arrive at this restaurant for the first time, at a dinner party. We noticed there were more guests than there were seats at the table. There was a bit of organizational chaos until everyone squeezed in a bit and two of us were seated at a separate table. While they were busy setting the table, we politely asked them to set the table for our two guests, who were missing everything since they'd been added to the main table and wanted, like the others, to start with the prosecco. Nothing. The girl approached twice, carrying glasses, and was invited by the owner to return to her seat. After a while, they arrived, but the prosecco had already gotten too warm. From that moment on, no matter what we asked for—from forks to water or more prosecco—we were incredibly ignored or, at any rate, always served last. When the owner approached and asked how things were going, I called him aside, politely inviting him to pay more attention. He clearly explained that the problem was related to the fact that there were more guests than expected, and I realized he was perhaps trying to take some of the frustration out on us since we were the last to arrive. Our only fault. I want to point out that our participation had been planned with the provider by email for days; we weren't the ones with extra guests. The idea was to leave at that point, but we didn't want to be disrespectful to those who invited us and the sponsor (who drove us). And the overall three stars are due to their kindness, certainly not to the location, but I'm not in the habit of writing negative reviews, especially not negative ones. Realizing we'd been targeted and had to stay, we avoided asking for anything else. Even the cake, despite being seated at the table waiting for it to be brought to us and sitting closest to the cutting area, was served first to the others standing, placed in vacant seats belonging to some of us who had already left, and even offered to tables outside our group rather than have it brought to us. The same thing had happened shortly before with the sake and the bitters; we didn't have the pleasure of anyone approaching to ask. Humiliated from start to finish, we left without tasting it and, given the obvious and repeated shortcomings toward us, refrained from greeting the owners—it's not my habit. I have no comment on the food, which many at the table considered excellent, as I would be affected by the poor service and bad mood, although the evening overall was a success and pleasantly enlivened by a band brought by the organizers. Unfortunately, I'll have to walk past there who knows how many more times since I've recently started working very close by, but I'll try to find an alternative route, ignoring them forever, like they did with me all evening.

17/02/2026: We've been going to this sushi bar for years, even before they introduced the all-you-can-eat option. Over time, the service has become a bit chaotic, but the quality of the dishes is better than other highly rated all-you-can-eat restaurants in Catania. For me, it's still a good place for a lunch break or a group dinner. The service flaws are more than made up for by the products. The fish is tough, and the rice is just cooked to perfection, but cold (I recently ate at another all-you-can-eat restaurant nearby, where they served me soft fish and warm rice). Still a solid 8 out of 10.

15/02/2026: I've been a customer for several years, and Agua Loca remains one of my favorites: the quality of the food, the location, and the service are truly fantastic. However, I was very disappointed with my last takeout order, where the portions of sashimi and tartare were significantly smaller than my previous orders... and considering the prices, it doesn't really offer the right quality-price ratio.

23/07/2025: My boyfriend and I went to this place based on the more or less positive reviews. First of all, I booked, mainly because I knew from their website and online that they had hookah. I arrived and was told it wasn't available. I should have at least let them know. Anyway, we sat down and they pushed us to order the all-you-can-eat option, but in the meantime, we decided to try the sushi. The prices were really high, but anyway, we ordered a few pieces of sushi from the menu. As soon as they put the tuna sashimi on the table, it looked normal in color. As soon as I took the first piece and put it in my mouth, I immediately noticed the unpleasant fishy odor. Nauseous. I won't even tell you about the taste, it was awful. The most disgusting sushi I've ever eaten (and they just put it on the menu, and I don't even mention the prices because they're so exorbitant). I wouldn't have given it a cent! We ate with hesitation about the quality of the fish, and I'm of the opinion that sushi should be treated with care, as you don't mess with raw fish! We ate these raw pieces of sushi, almost having to force ourselves to eat them, because it was like eating spoiled fish. It was definitely a result of improper freezing and terrible preservation in the July heat. We ate, hesitant, thinking something might happen, and it did. In the evening, we went home and I felt terrible! It wasn't even Saturday, and there was no one there! Weekdays are usually when they take more care of the food and the customers, as there's less commotion. The food was poor, extremely low quality; I even felt sick! Who knows how it could have ended! No, no, no! And then the value for money was completely outrageous. I've eaten quality sushi at quality places for much less... It's a shame because it could have been a nice place and made a good profit. The waiters were a bit rude, and after we finished the sushi without asking for anything, they brought us the bill without asking, almost as if they were kicking us out. Bah!

20/07/2025: The thing I'll definitely remember about this place is the utter rudeness and listlessness of the young man who greeted us. When it was time to order, he seemed indisposed and rolled his eyes at every request we made, including mentioning a food allergy to strawberries. His attitude was one of utter annoyance and condescension. Fortunately, he was replaced by a young woman later in the evening. It's a shame because the sushi was decent. I wouldn't recommend it for celiacs, considering my husband had a twinge shortly afterward.

05/04/2026: Everything was excellent, no wait with a reservation, and Mr. Salvo, the waiter, is wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended.

22/03/2026: We didn't know it, we chose it also for the price of the All you can eat lunch and I must say that we ate very well. Excellent fast service and small and welcoming place. We will return.

22/03/2026: We've been customers since it opened, and we've given this restaurant a couple of chances to return, but our last dinner there last week made us say enough. The food was cold and subpar, the wok was closed, and the food was poorly cooked on the grill. We finished with hard and certainly not fresh desserts. All-you-can-eat restaurants offer free fortune cookies... but they never do. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

04/04/2026: I went to this restaurant tonight with three other people, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several ways. When ordering, we were informed that we couldn't choose Venere rice, which we found limiting, especially since it was a Saturday night. We arrived at 9:30 PM and didn't receive our poke until 10:15 PM, so we had a rather long wait. One of the poke, ordered with a double protein option (which cost more), arrived with only one protein option: the shrimp tempura was missing. After pointing this out, the dish was taken back and returned with only one shrimp added, a decidedly insufficient amount considering the extra charge. Another poke, however, was completely missing the mango. As for the sushi box, a few pieces were brought to us after a further wait, and only then were we informed that the tuna wasn't available and they had to change the order. We also didn't like the sushi: it was too heavy, the rice was sticky, and the portions were unbalanced, with too much rice and too little seasoning. Overall, between the disorganization, long waits, and subpar quality, it was a negative experience. We won't be returning.

17/03/2026: Two of us arrived and ordered from the interactive table in a completely empty room. After about 15 minutes, other customers began arriving: a small group of young people, three couples, a Deliveroo delivery man, and a man ordering takeout, all arriving after us. Our order was nowhere to be found. After a 42-minute wait, I approached the manager, Alessia, to ask about our order. She pointed to a tray in front of her, telling me it was ours and was being prepared. Unfortunately, a few moments later, that tray was served to another table. At that point, I returned to the counter to point out that we had been waiting over 40 minutes for two simple menus. The response, without even being looked at, was a simple "Here I am," pointing to another tray. Our order arrived 47 minutes after we received the receipt. I understand that delays can occur and it's right to be patient, but what is truly perplexing is the manager's total lack of attention and professionalism. A decidedly disappointing experience.
