Vecchia Osteria alla Pieve In Tolmezzo

We really appreciated the chef's presence, who personally came to our table to take our order. The kids were super happy with the homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce, which were truly excellent. We were having dinner with friends, who ordered two tagliata: excellent quality meat, perfectly cooked! My husband and I tried everything, but it's a shame we couldn't eat the ciarcions we'd ordered because the chef unfortunately forgot our order. I feel compelled to defend this osteria because we all make mistakes, and few know how to cook such perfect dishes with such passion. It was an unexpected event that can happen, but it doesn't change our minds: we'll definitely be back!

We booked for a quiet Sunday lunch. We found everything excellent: the carefully prepared traditional dishes, the tasty, quality cheeses. The staff was attentive and friendly. It's wonderful to find places like this.

I stopped for lunch and was greeted by a kind and attentive waiter. A fragrant Refosco, perfectly chilled, arrived immediately, followed by a selection of cheeses and salami. This was served with his own knife: being able to cut it myself was a unique detail I appreciated; everything was delicious. When the chef came out, he listed his menu, and I asked for a fillet: my request was immediately granted. The wait was almost imperceptible: the atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously maintained, enhanced by period features that create a sense of calm. My meat was quickly served, cooked to my specifications, and it was incredibly tender; a truly delicious fillet. The vegetable side dish was also delicious, and the look was also impressive. The owner came out several times to chat with me, a rare gesture of customer service. At the end of the meal, I chatted with him and a longtime customer: the beautiful hospitality of days gone by. I left feeling full and satisfied; I will return and recommend it.

So happy we found this little gem on the way. Stopped for dinner, didn't have reservations but the chef was still able to accommodate us. Amazing experience, very friendly and cozy atmosphere and excellent food. Definitely recommend to everyone who appreciates freshly with love prepared food. Thanks to everyone in the restaurant and compliments to the chef for amazing ravioli. We are definitely coming back again.

An old-fashioned osteria with a family atmosphere. Exquisite food. We started with an appetizer of cheeses and salami made by the restaurant owner, truly excellent. The chef then came to present the daily menu, and we tried his wonderful cjarsons and a perfectly cooked fillet steak. The tiramisu, also homemade, is also highly recommended. Another positive note was the service, discreet but very attentive. The prices were more than fair considering the quality of the products.

Conveniently located just steps from Tolmezzo, I was very pleased. The atmosphere is rustic and homey. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the experience. If you're passing through, I highly recommend stopping at this genuine osteria!

Delicious traditional dishes, a unique selection of cured meats and cheeses, and an excellent selection of mountain produce. We tried two versions of the first course, and both were fantastic.

The restaurant is very traditional, and the simple approach is a plus. The downside is the service, not so much the waiters who rush around like lightning, but rather the owner/chef who has to verbally present the menu, cook, and so on. It's a shame, because the food is good, but waiting half an hour just to order with the restaurant practically empty seems a bit much. I don't think creating a menu and having waiters take orders is something aliens do in 2026... In any case, I ate a fillet steak that I haven't had this good in years.

Ottimi i formaggi, il salame casereccio come pure il pane. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Da provare anche la carne alla griglia, morbida succosa e infine condita semplicemente in modo da gustarla appieno.
