12/05/2025: We spent four wonderful days at the taverna Cigui during our yoga retreat and were truly impressed. The food was exceptional – fresh, local, and prepared with love. The variety, especially the fish dishes, was amazing. The taverna is set in a beautiful olive grove, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. We felt at home and enjoyed every moment. We’ll definitely be back – thank you for everything!

26/05/2025: Food and service is marvellous, but toilet is a horror story - which can honestly be a dealbreaker. There is large parking loot in the backyard and a lovely terrace. It has a vintage style decor and it is a bit packed, but nothing dramatic.

23/05/2025: Family atmosphere, impeccable service. I am allergic to dairy, I can't eat cheese. But here they made me the best pizza of my life. The chef is a genius! We will be back!

17/05/2025: Lovely little wine bar and if the weather is pleasant there is a courtyard you can sit in a little further up the street. The staff were so nice and welcoming, my thanks to them.

22/05/2025: Excellent restaurant with very fresh fish, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. We tried the gratinated appetizer (with scallops, scallops and razor clams) and the pasta with scampi alla busara: really very good. I liked the creamed cod a little less. The prices are in line with the quality of the food offered.

14/05/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday for Mother's Day, I have to say everything was amazing! The waitress who took the order was very knowledgeable, attentive and professional, and also all the rest of the staff who served us. Coming to the menu, a pleasant entrée before the mixed hot and cold appetizers, spaghetti with clams and baked fish of the day, cleaned and plated on a service trolley in front of us! It wasn't the first time we ate there, and it certainly won't be the last! Highly recommended. Book in advance and you can request a table outside or under the tent, to also enjoy the sea view.

03/05/2025: Perfect value for money! I recommend it, I ate on the terrace overlooking the sea and I appreciated the sun, other customers near me were disappointed with the broken umbrella and having to eat under the blazing sun. I recommend the restaurant but solve the umbrella problem. Well done!

Ho passato davvero una giornata stupenda e credo che le recensioni non bellissime non rendano giustizia a questo ristorante in cui spero di tornare presto! Ad majora!

27/05/2025: We took the seafood menu for two. The appetizer was nothing special, especially the shrimp and octopus. But so far let's say passable. The worst part is the second course of first courses: the pasta with squid ink was dry to death. The pappardelle instead were the most inedible thing I've ever eaten in my life. Thick, dry pasta, it didn't even twist on the fork, topped with cheese croutons that completely covered the flavor of the fish. Glasses of Sturm wine €8 each. Cover charge €5 per person. A few things need to be reviewed

26/05/2025: THE PLEASURE OF EATING WELL A truly pleasant gastronomic experience, with fresh and well-prepared dishes. A special mention goes to the courteous and professional staff. The view of the marina adds a suggestive touch to the environment. Ideal for a relaxing dinner by the sea. Recommended!

11/05/2025: Delicious spaghetti vongole. Perfect anchovies in brine (sarde in saore). Delicious perch (branzino). And a liter of vino bianco della casa. Great!

10/05/2025: Dinner for two with rocking appetizer, top marinated anchovies, polenta and cod. Being celiac, they offered me an excellent prawn and courgette risotto for two. Even gluten-free bread. I recommend it.

09/05/2025: I came to this restaurant for the first time on Easter day, I didn't book a table. The very kind lady made me sit on the terrace, as I am a smoker. They offered me the menu, I ate fresh and delicious fish, and had a glass of delicious Malvasia. The restaurant was full of people, but silent. I will be back as soon as possible. I absolutely recommend everyone to go there!

30/03/2025: Oggi con 6 amiche sono stata a pranzo in questo ristorante prenotato all’ultimo momento al ritorno da un fine settimana a Lubiana cosa dire uno spettacolo dall’accoglienza al servizio e alle pietanze. Ogni piatto perfettamente equilibrato e bilanciato, materie prime utilizzare freschissime. Prezzo adeguato alla qualità offerta. Siamo state tutte talmente soddisfatte che prima di andarmene mi sono complimentata con 👨‍🍳 lo chef. Se passate per Muggia non potete pranzare da nessun’altra parte. Ringrazio tutto lo staff.

10/03/2025: Di ritorno in questo locale dopo alcuni anni mi accorgo che purtroppo la buona impressione ricevuta la primo volta non viene confermata. Si puo' comprendere che due persone ,da sole, tra cucina e "sala" facciano fatica a gestire 5/6 tavoli ma il servizio è lentissimo...se entri con fame rischi di dover chiedere 3 volte il pane prima che arrivi qualcosa in tavola. Abbiamo mangiato un buonissimo primo piatto di gnocchi con gli scampi e due piatti di frittura di calamari molto elastici ...non mi sarei mai aspettato di vedere che gli stessi provengono da una busta del congelatore. Siamo al mare , il periodo è giusto ...se proprio dovete metterli congelati almeno scongelati a dovere e friggeteli come va fatto invece , purtroppo una delusione.

22/12/2024: Luogo perfetto. Ambiente accogliente e retrò, servizio ineccepibile e cibo ottimo. Cozze, pasta al granzoporo,gnocchi agli scampi e tocai. Sorbetto offerto. 56 euro ben spesi. Torneremo!!! Maoooo!
