18/08/2024: We stopped while passing through Croatia. Good pizza dough but perhaps the mozzarella was too cheesy and not enough mozzarella. The chicken breast was good. The grilled side dish consisting of courgettes and aubergines was good but overpriced (€7) for the quantity but above all for a side dish. Friendly and helpful staff.

07/07/2024: Wir orderten nicht nach der Karte, sondern überließen den Chef die Auswahl des Fischmenues. Eine wahre Gaumenfreude, verschiedene Antipasti, Primi, Secondi und Dolce waren die Folge. Prosecco, herrlicher Hauswein und Grappa begleitete das Mittagsmenue. Ein fairer Preis und sehr freundliche Bedienung rundeten sehr gute Bild ab. Waren sicher nicht das letzte mal in der Taverna Cigui !

22/05/2024: Tanto che non ci capitava un pasto così delizioso a base di pesce...La giornata purtroppo era piovosa e abbiamo quindi mangiato all'interno, che comunque è molto "caldo" e accogliente...all'esterno la quiete e il paesaggio verdeggiante erano comunque molto apprezzabili, immaginiamo cosa possa essere poter cenare all'aperto in una bella serata di fine primavera o estiva! Tornando al pranzo, abbiamo degustato tanti piatti diversi, tutti direttamente proposti dal proprietario e dalla sua gentilissima collaboratrice: la "filosofia" che guida il menù proposto è quella dei prodotti freschi del giorno, che sono via via la base dell'ispirazione culinaria. Grande soddisfazione del palato ma con estrema digeribilità complessiva, nonostante la ricchezza e varietà di ...assaggi! Prezzo perfettamente in linea con la qualità di cibo e bevande. Da provare! Noi senz'altro torneremo appena possibile, puntando questa volta a una serata all'aperto.

01/09/2024: Making Neapolitan-style pizza is appreciable, but already from the crust you can see how the feat isn't very successful. One of the two pizzas had a bit too much of a burnt aftertaste in some places. Significant waiting times. Trieste prices.

26/08/2024: The appetizer mix was fantastic, the grilled calamari was chewy… 🥲 that was surprising after seeing the reviews. The pasta with shrimps and truffles was average. The staff was friendly so all in all we could give four stars.

22/08/2024: Best restaurant in the bay area close to the canal, lively atmosphere, great place to have lunch/dinner, nice staff. Would definitely eat here again.

11/08/2024: Unfortunately, an evening to forget... starters were the only course worthy of note, the first arrived after almost 2 hours of being there (we arrived at 8pm so practically 10pm), together with the second, quite good sliced ​​tuna, limp and cold fried calamari. No one deigned to come to the table to apologize until after the threat of leaving... poor service, all smoke and no roast. Too bad it was my mom's birthday and we were really annoyed. I won't go back!

22/07/2024: This is a hidden gem. It is located at a place where you do not expect a restaurant. Yes, they serve a lot of horse meat. Aldo other meat. The staff was very friendly and I do recommend this place. Too bad they only serve white wine and red wine (besides beer and non alcoholic). But no different wines. Luckily I liked the red wine, but this is something to improve. And when I ordered the fileto steak I should have given the instruction to limit to 200g. 300 is really too much. But all and all, it was a good experience and I definitely recommend (unless someone is really offended by eating horse meat. I translated the menu into Dutch using Google so you get an idea. But of course this is potentially a bad translation!

03/09/2024: Last night we tried this restaurant, one of the few that is also open on Monday. I really liked the spaghetti with seafood. The caraccio is also good. Tasty mixed fry, tender squid. The people who work in the room are very kind. On very hot evenings, book a table near the sea 😃.

06/08/2024: Very nice family run restaurant with simple, delicious food. The staff were nice and the food was great. We recommend their mussels! They’re grown in Muggia and they’re fresh and delicious.

08/07/2024: There is no menu and Mrs. Sabrina sits down and lists the available dishes. This means that you don't know the price of the dishes and the scam is around the corner. To demonstrate, a cold fish starter for 1 person €25 (creamed cod, 4 conad crostini, smoked salmon and swordfish, sardines and prawns in savor). It's a shame because the staff is friendly and the place is nice. Not recommended.
