19/05/2025: Every year we try a starred restaurant and among these Ca' Matilde is perhaps the one that impressed me the most. Sometimes you hear that a chef tries to tell stories with his dishes... well the chef of this restaurant succeeds! Excellent service, the dinner was perfect in every way. We spent two nights in the b&b that I can definitely recommend (excellent quality/price ratio).

28/04/2025: For my birthday I gave myself a special gift: a dinner at Ca' Matilde, a starred restaurant located in the hills of Reggio Emilia. I had already been there a few years ago and going back was like reopening a beautiful memory, but with something more. Chef Andrea Incerti Vezzani's cuisine is a true sensorial experience: elegance, technique and flavor in every dish. ● WHAT I ATE: I chose the seafood menu. A refined journey through aromas and textures, with well-plated dishes, top quality ingredients and balanced combinations. Each course arrived like a little story, to be savored calmly. ● WHAT I DRINK: a Trento DOC Nature, classic method, fresh and perfect to accompany every dish on the menu. ● LOCAL: elegant but not cold, with well-kept spaces. The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for enjoying dinner without rushing. ● STAFF: impeccable service, attentive waiters, present at the right time but never intrusive. Professional and friendly, they make the experience even more pleasant. ● PRICE: in line with a starred restaurant and the experience offered. A gift worth giving. ● TIP: if you are looking for a truly special dinner in a relaxed and refined setting, this is the right place. Book in advance, especially on weekends or for special occasions.

17/05/2025: We were with the family on Sunday for lunch. Cattini (Catein) never disappoints!!!! We have been coming here for over 20 years and it remains the best traditional restaurant in Reggio Emilia. Monica is always very kind and the dishes are amazing. The trolley of boiled and roasted meats is unsurpassed for choice and quality. The trolley of side dishes is also very well stocked and always present mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, their fantastic mustard, green and red sauce. Wide choice of desserts, all excellent and wines. A certainty!!! Well done

15/05/2025: I stopped because I was passing by, I took the watch, the meat seemed spoiled, it had a pungent smell and a terrible taste, I spent the night in the bathroom not even with enterogermina, lactic ferments and Plasil did not go away the dysentery and nausea. I think they fried the chips and re-fried them in used oil. In the place they smoke, degraded environment and rude staff. Terrible place to stop to eat it almost seems like a place of the slums, without offense to the slums obviously. We should send the NAS to do an inspection and these incompetents would ask for a shambles.....

01/05/2025: A truly beautiful place, at the foot of the Bianello castle, surrounded by greenery, offering a panorama as far as the eye can see over the plain, thanks to a splendid day of sunshine and clear air. The dishes chosen are excellent, the menu is particularly interesting. Warm, welcoming and attentive service. Absolutely recommended

11/04/2025: When you don't have time to go to the Romagna Riviera but you want some piadina, the solution is to go to Montecavolo Then with the renovated venue we are at the top

07/04/2025: Excellent piadina with a varied menu and the possibility to choose as you like. On request wholemeal dough. Pretty quick service, fair prices. Possibility to consume on site in a specially equipped area or take away.

11/05/2025: Beautiful park, beautiful view, equipped for barbecues, you just have to go early, there are few places.

07/05/2025: A nice park. Perfect for spending a few hours outdoors. Areas equipped for barbecues and picnics with tables. There is also a bathroom. Various paths for walking. A bar for those who want a coffee, I don't know if they also serve as a restaurant. On sunny days a beautiful view opens up. Advised.

26/04/2025: we got the hang of it, serious mistake. decidedly low quality: they don't make the dough themselves, the ingredients are frozen and jarred (low quality), they have no flavour. I will never go back again
