22/04/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance but it was a pleasant surprise: a well-kept entrance that leads to a real ancient chalk cave. Superfine food, really if I could give the chef 6 stars I would. The service is adequate to the high standards that the restaurant aims for, with soberly dressed and highly trained staff. The only small flaw, not all tables have the same charm, we were practically at the cash desk... But having booked at the last moment I understand that it's been a long time since we found a place. Gorgeous bathroom sink, I want it like this in my house. Overall excellent food and wine experience that I will definitely recommend to friends. PS what to eat? We mostly had first courses and it was all delicious, so I don't have a particular dish to recommend.

Antipasti, primi e secondi della tradizione un po’ rivisitati, con prodotti locali. Ottimi i piatti accompagnati dall’olio di Brisighella. Consigliatissimo. Prezzi buoni.

04/02/2025: Family-run restaurant that I have known and frequented for years, located in some ancient and evocative premises in the center of Fognano. The cuisine is excellent and every time I always have the pleasure of being surprised by something, like the succulent pan-fried thrushes last time; the homemade pastas honor tradition and the most authentic flavors of the Apennines, mushrooms, truffles and game, accompany them perfectly. The hunting crostini, truffle cappelletti and passatelli are excellent, among the best that can be found in Romagna; The pigeon is also delicious, as are all the second courses. The house wine is sincere and the hospitality of the hostess is always extraordinary. For me, Cheterena is a place where you can relax and refresh yourself in the best possible way, with a very beautiful alchemy that links the environment, the people and the food!

03/02/2025: Always an intimate place, thanks to the delightful hostess and the family atmosphere. One of the favorite restaurants also of my father-in-law, who is very difficult to please. From the menu some dishes always stand out over others, which are all basically delicious, but some of them really leave their mark, in terms of execution and ingredients. The game crostini are delicious when present, the passatelli are surprising and are far from easy to find correct in consistency and flavour: almost all of them use too much breadcrumbs to prevent them from falling apart, making them excessively tough and flavourless. These are meltable without falling apart, tasty, adorable. We then all 3 choose the pigeon but there were only two portions left, but it went much, much better that way because as an alternative there were... Thrushes! Years, I think a decade at least, since I had the pleasure of finding them. We were also thrilled with the recipe chosen, juicy and very tasty. Here they know how to do the hunting really well, all that we have tried over the years, but as mentioned the whole menu deserves attention

Menu with delicious dishes, with excellent raw materials for a good quality/price ratio! There is also the possibility of having an aperitif with cicchetti and cocktails . I recommend it and will return to dine on the terrace.

13/04/2025: Ambiente raccolto perfetto per una uscita intima, proprio in centro a Brisighella. Il locale sembra voler richiamare la Parigi stereotipata dell’artista al tavolo, dell’omino coi baffi con basco, maglia a righe e baguette sotto braccio, dando quella rassicurazione “qui si mangia bene”, anche con un Servizio cortese, gentile e professionale, sebbene con qualche dimenticanza. Medaglia d’oro ai primi: veramente top, dalla sfoglia, al ripieno e alla salsa. Antipasti e secondi: qua è più complesso fare sintesi. A gusto mio alcuni accostamenti sono azzardati e non sono riuscito ad apprezzarli. Dolci: nulla da dire, non memorabili ma finiti con piacere. Sulla contina mi sarebbe piaciuto un satin, che non ho trovato. Troppi prosecchi. Sui rossi (diciamo locali), solo un sangiovese superiore riserva (tra l’altro ottima cantina). Prezzi alti considerando anche le tovagliette di carta (che detesto).

Just for a dessert, more than half an hour. €54 for two, 1 first course, 2 crostini, 1 water in a glass of wine, 1 cocoa. we asked for dessert but it took more than half an hour. we left....

19/04/2025: 10 euro for 0,5 l of beer + 3 euro service. Most expensive beer in my life. If you do not speak Italian do not even bother to go, because menu is in Italian and no one actually speaks English

14/04/2025: Very nice traditional location... There are indoor and outdoor seats... We took appetizers and a first or second course... Ranging from fish to meat.. from the platter of cold cuts to wild boar... From the cold and hot fish starter to seafood... mixed fried food.. tortelloni.. all very good... Excellent value for money.. very kind and friendly staff... If you take a walk around Brisighella I recommend it..
