07/04/2024: Eight of us went on a Saturday evening, I understand that a place can be more crowded on evenings like this but in no other restaurant have I arrived at 8.30pm (booked days ago) and at 10.45pm I still hadn't received the ticket. Pizza. Furthermore, after numerous requests we were always told "the pizzas are coming out", an unprecedented mockery. We therefore decide at 10.45pm to leave and the owner responds without even apologizing, simply saying "ah ok go". Exaggerated rudeness. We also spoke to some gentlemen with children who were in the same situation but arrived at 7pm. Zero respect for the customer, I would 100% advise against it if you don't want to ruin your evening, although from my memories the pizza was good, they deserve to fail.

03/04/2024: I got to know this place through social media which presents it as the oldest tavern in the world and this intrigued me a lot. To be honest, my expectations were a little too high compared to reality. In Rome we have a lot of historic taverns and perhaps it was spontaneous to make the comparison, but each has its own identity. Let's say I didn't have time to enjoy the food because what I perceived around me was "you have to hurry up and leave the table to someone else immediately", I repeat it was my perception and none of the guys told me similar things, on the contrary the guys were nice and nice. Good quality/price ratio. There were 4 of us and my friends and I took 3 traditional menus (€30 per person) which included, each, 2 typical dishes + 3 small glasses of 3 different types of wine + a small tasting of typical desserts. Being a vegetarian, I had the pumpkin cappellacci with butter and sage and the panà which is a typical meat-free dish. Total: €28 each. Your experience is yours!

06/04/2024: Negative note: when you sit down, pay attention to the staff's suggestion to start with a vermouth spritz. Only when they give you the menu will you discover that it costs 12 euros!!

2 of us had lunch on a public holiday at 2pm.
I gave three stars because as a first experience it didn't give me the impression of being able to taste the Ferrarese culinary tradition. For now I would say...touristy. I will definitely be back to improve the review.

01/04/2024: Despite being demanding (among us, Ferrara natives are excellent cooks) we appreciated the Ferrarese pasticcio!
31/03/2024: A trattoria from times gone by, genuine and authentic. The homemade tagliatelle with lamb ragout and mutton are sublime. The pumpkin cappellacci are among the best in town. The Angus steak and fillet are excellent. The desserts, chocolate and Catalan salami, a gem to try. Fast service and hospitable environment. A refined cuisine starting from the choice of raw materials at very honest prices. We were lucky to have found it, we highly recommend it.

29/04/2024: Simple but refined environment. Excellent service, with waiters always present and available. Excellent food. I recommend the fixed menu of typical Ferrara cuisine, which for €40 includes: appetizer, two tastings of first course, one second course and dessert.
27/04/2024: Hidden place in a street near the center... quite large but always full; the landlady not very smiling (at least initially..) but polite and kind, staff young, polite and efficient. How do you eat it? Very good... typical things from Ferrara, tried cappellacci stuffed with pumpkin in beef ragout with pasticcio... both typical dishes, tasty and well prepared... pork loin and braised veal delicious... tasty, soft... in short, I definitely recommend it. . book a little in advance..

01/04/2024: This beautiful place near the center of Ferrara pleasantly surprised me. Beautiful place, very modern and very large spaces. The staff is young, very kind and prepared. The food is exceptional, the choice is very wide for all palates, with vegetarian and vegan choices. The prices are honest and consistent with the quality of the food. Vote 10.

The owner and his staff immediately put you at ease, providing a series of recommendations on culinary specialties. Typical Ferrara cuisine with the flavors of the past. A stone's throw from the center, it is a must for those who want to taste the flavors of this beautiful medieval city. Advised.
29/04/2024: Wonderful experience! We were welcomed by Sergio like old friends. He made us feel at home. A particularly nice character, joker, wonderful person.
We were blown away by the food...
We chose to start with the platter of typical cured meats and cheese accompanied by hot piadina. To follow, pumpkin cappellacci with ragù...fantastic!! The Ferrara pasticcio is a prize and we recommend it to everyone. The portions are definitely generous. Luckily there was still a place and we ended on a high note with an amazing cheesecake... it left us speechless!!
We hope to return to Ferrara soon and repeat this magnificent culinary experience.
Thanks to Sergio and all the staff. Congratulations... you are truly a winning team. Highly recommended place.

01/04/2024: So good that I ordered another one (to split). For the first I relied on one of the many proposals on the menu, the second I created to my taste by choosing the ingredients for the filling. Both very crunchy and light.
