05/06/2026: Quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the San Giovanni in Persiceto area. Quick lunch, reasonably priced for the quality. Four of us ordered two pork cheeks with potato flan from the weekday menu, and two plates of passatelli with white sausage and red radicchio. The dishes were good, the meat tender and falling apart, and the sausage was also very good. Four of us also ordered their signature dish, Fritto Casona: battered mixed vegetables with zucchini, eggplant, Ascoli olives, fried polenta, onion rings, potatoes, and mozzarella in carrozza. It's a dry, crispy, lightly fried dish, perfectly salty, and not heavy. We also ordered fresh seasonal fruit, pineapple, strawberries, and a zuppa inglese, a bit thick compared to the soft, creamy trifles we've come to expect. Degustibus. With still and sparkling water and coffee, the four of us spent about €80. We were very satisfied. Welcoming and attentive staff, very respectful, not oppressive and quick in service.

02/06/2026: This restaurant usually offers good value, but last week's lunch was a real disappointment. The bread was stale and hard, the pasta was very salty, and the grilled vegetables were raw. Despite our complaints, no apology or concern was expressed. I don't recommend it.

21/12/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant just outside San Giovanni in Persiceto by chance. Quality food, excellent value, and very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it.

02/06/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review. We were a group of 30 people, and when we made our reservation, even though it was 11:30 PM on a Saturday night, they didn't make a fuss. However, once we were seated, they started rushing us because the kitchen was closing, and they kept coming around the table to see if we'd finished clearing the table. The pizza was terrible, overcooked and hard, almost unripe. Now, I understand it was late, but why not mention that when we made our reservation? Why bother the person who asked for availability and was granted it, even though it was late? The rude and abrupt response from the owner and the cashier wasn't the best. We would have preferred a NO when we made our reservation rather than end the evening like that.

08/07/2026: Aperitivo here used to be a pleasure: a generous buffet included in the price. Today, however, the concept seems to be "pay more and get less." Instead of a buffet, a very sad pizza—rubbery, burnt, and the consistency of a beer mat. All this accompanied by prices that seem to be designed for a Michelin-starred restaurant, a shame the experience is quite different. Congratulations on transforming a place I used to happily return to into one I will thoroughly avoid. If the goal was to convince customers to seek out an aperitivo elsewhere, I'd say they've achieved it perfectly.

08/05/2026: It would be a nice bar, but the service leaves much to be desired. Despite our drink orders, we had to ask several times for at least two fries to eat. It was very crowded. The waiters were a bit lost... but the place is still nice and conveniently located.
