La Casona Tutti Fritti In San giovanni in persiceto

Quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the San Giovanni in Persiceto area. Quick lunch, reasonably priced for the quality. Four of us ordered two pork cheeks with potato flan from the weekday menu, and two plates of passatelli with white sausage and red radicchio. The dishes were good, the meat tender and falling apart, and the sausage was also very good. Four of us also ordered their signature dish, Fritto Casona: battered mixed vegetables with zucchini, eggplant, Ascoli olives, fried polenta, onion rings, potatoes, and mozzarella in carrozza. It's a dry, crispy, lightly fried dish, perfectly salty, and not heavy. We also ordered fresh seasonal fruit, pineapple, strawberries, and a zuppa inglese, a bit thick compared to the soft, creamy trifles we've come to expect. Degustibus. With still and sparkling water and coffee, the four of us spent about €80. We were very satisfied. Welcoming and attentive staff, very respectful, not oppressive and quick in service.

We organized an end-of-year school lunch. They were incredibly accommodating to everyone's needs at a great price. The service was impeccable and fast, and the wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We also ordered the cake, which was truly delicious. The place is perfect for children, and the service was excellent for this type of occasion. Thank you for your patience and availability.

My dad and I came to Emilia-Romagna for two days and wanted to try something traditional, and what can I say? The food was excellent (I'm crazy about the tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù). My dad was also really satisfied with everything else, congratulations.

Unfortunately, the chairs were very uncomfortable. The food was not convincing, except for the fries, which were really good, but there wasn't enough of them.

A casual place. The tigelle and crescentine with cured meats are good. It's a shame the bottle of wine was already opened. The fried appetizers weren't exceptional: we tried the polenta, which was certainly good; the onion and potato croquettes, in my opinion, were a no-no. The place is average, but the outdoor seating is very nice and has a playground for kids.

Friendly young staff, which never hurts, beautiful location

We're regulars and have always enjoyed the food, from the appetizers to the fried crescentine. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended if you want to spend an evening enjoying traditional food in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

I went with three of my colleagues for dinner, specifically on a Thursday night when they offer the all-you-can-eat buffet from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We arrived around 9:20 PM, and some of the buffet items were practically gone (and hadn't been replaced). Furthermore, several of the dishes were barely warm, not to mention cold. To make matters worse, around 10:20 PM they started gradually removing all the dishes, even though they hadn't run out yet, and the all-you-can-eat buffet ends at 11:00 PM. What can I say? I was quite disappointed with this evening and this place. It's a shame because the evening's format has potential and the food is good. However, if they manage this type of evening this way, I'm really sorry.

A casual place with good food. A bit noisy, but the night I was there, there were several cheerful tables. I recommend it.
