10/03/2026: Reservation Cancelled After Two Months – Extremely Poor Service This was one of the most frustrating booking experiences I have ever had. About two months ago, I made a confirmed reservation at Hotel Persico’s through Booking.com for my visit to Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna. The total price of the reservation was around 6,300 DKK (about €840) and the booking was fully confirmed. I received the confirmation and planned my entire trip around it. Then, two months later, and only about one month before my trip, I was suddenly contacted and told that the hotel had made a “price mistake”. They asked me to accept a new total price of €1,584 (around 14,000 DKK) — which is more than double the original price. Of course I refused. The mistake was not mine. I booked in good faith and the reservation had already been confirmed. What is even more disappointing is that Booking.com did not protect the customer. I spoke with customer service three separate times, but they did not help resolve the situation. Instead, the reservation was simply cancelled. By the time they cancelled my booking, prices in the area had already increased because of the event in Bologna, which left me in a very difficult situation. A confirmed booking should mean something. Changing the price months later and cancelling the reservation when the customer refuses to pay more is extremely unprofessional. Very disappointing service from both the hotel and the platform.

28/01/2026: I have stayed at this property several times for extended work stays. The rooms are clean, with disposable toothbrushes and liquid soap. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

21/12/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant just outside San Giovanni in Persiceto by chance. Quality food, excellent value, and very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it.

22/11/2025: Excellent value for money. If you're looking for substance, that is, traditional dishes prepared almost like family, and an informal atmosphere, like a family restaurant or a shack with friends.

03/03/2026: It's a fantastic place, the food is excellent, but finding yourself in front of a bust of the DVCE is the best thing that could happen in a red region like Emilia Romagna. Full speed ahead!

28/02/2026: We booked a table for 17 but ended up with 16 seats instead of 17. I told the waiters that a seat was missing. They said, "We'll bring you the cover charge now." I was forced to eat at the corner of the table, with minimal space. Within 30 minutes, I asked two people why no one was bringing me the blessed cover charge. I asked a third time and got a little annoyed. After asking three times, I received my blessed cover charge in two seconds. Terrible service. This was my experience; others will surely have it better.

19/01/2026: I got pizzas delivered to my door. The guy was very kind and friendly, and the pizza was hot and delicious, cooked well, not raw or burned like I've read in many reviews. Was I lucky? I don't think so; they did a great job and the products were good. Congratulations!

16/06/2025: The pizza is definitely good, I'll tell you tomorrow morning, but they also sell wine, four 0.75 bottles, so a total of 3 liters. The price displayed is 2.30 per liter, and the price paid is 3.06 per liter because they take longer to pour it (that's how they justified themselves), but it's not written anywhere. 16/11/2025: Aside from the cold, unheated restaurant, we had to wait an hour and a half for a pizza that never arrived because we decided to cancel, leaving someone with intestinal problems starving. He wouldn't have been able to dine at 9:30 PM because they still had to put it in the oven. I had also booked three nights earlier for 8:00 PM, precisely to avoid waiting too long. When we got to the cash register, we asked for two separate bills, but they rudely told us that it wasn't possible because they usually only give one receipt. This would have been nothing if, when splitting the accounts, they had accepted payments from both parties. Unfortunately, they asked for a single payment because they said they couldn't give two change points (of a few cents). I'm really disappointed because I used to go to this place until three years ago and always had a great time. So I was shocked and will never return.

15/11/2025: I ate pizza... how can I describe it? Well, for me, it was a horrible experience. Both the pizza and the service were truly awful. The pizza was raw, the dough was extremely heavy and lacked salt. There were 12 of us, and they served the pizzas quite a while apart. By the time it reached me, many of my guests had already finished theirs. Terrible.

26/07/2025: Years ago it was really good, recently it's become quite inedible, a faded memory of times gone by. Perhaps it's time to get down to business.

11/11/2025: This is the grilled vegetable piadina!!! I'd say the photo speaks for itself. I'd rather keep quiet. I'm giving it one star because it's the only thing that can be given less.
