06/10/2025: We dine here often when we are in Spello. When the weather is warm, the outdoor dinning is beautiful. However, inside is very nice too. Massimo is a wonderful host. The food is so delicious. We have had to rotolo of pork and many of the pasta dishes. You need to make a reservation as they fill up quickly.
27/09/2025: Am excellent place for dinner. You'll need reservations, because it is limited in seating. The menu offers local dishes that taste fabulous. You know it is good when you see the locals eating here

21/10/2025: A very unique, welcoming, and beautiful place. We had beans with pork rind, tripe, lentils with cavolo nero, gnocchi with mushroom and truffle cream, and crema catalana... all delicious. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.
19/10/2025: The place is very beautiful and well-kept, starting with the truly beautiful placemats. The food is excellent. We had a few appetizers, a couple of first courses, a few second courses, side dishes, and desserts. Everything was very good, but we were a bit disappointed with the service. We arrived among the first courses and waited about half an hour just to order. There was also a long wait for the second courses. We arrived at 1:00 PM and left at practically 3:30 PM... a bit excessive.

12/10/2025: Welcoming and helpful place, the only positive note, regarding the dishes, tasteless first courses with minimal quantities and above all, pay attention to the mixed grill dish, truly ridiculous: 1 sausage, a bone with just a little meat and a small triangle of meat - we're talking about pork at an exorbitant price. Truly disappointing.
04/10/2025: We sat on the outdoor patio and the young man that waited on us from the beginning was dismissive and arrogant. For our first and second course, people received their food very late as others were eating. Salad was delivered inaccurately with no apology. The lack of service negatively affected our experience on our last night in Spello.

28/09/2025: I've known this place for almost 20 years and every time I return I'm filled with joy... not only for the food (excellent ingredients and amazing cuisine) but for the love I feel for the people who work there and make it truly wonderful!!!!

They immediately served us high-quality appetizers and first courses, an excellent wine selection, delicious and beautifully presented second courses and desserts.
1) An appetizer, two first courses, a second course, and a dessert, a bottle of wine for €30, a total of €100.
There were two of us...
Prices in line with the excellent quality of the place...

After an appetizer of scamorza fused with truffles, we enjoyed a mixed roast (ribs, arrosticini, sausage, and bacon) accompanied by a side dish of seasonal cooked vegetables (Campagnola): simply delicious! All accompanied by a good house red wine and, to finish, an excellent homemade tiramisu. The service was very courteous and helpful: we arrived early and they found us a table right away.

25/08/2024: Abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare al Ristorante Porta Venere a Spello e ne siamo rimasti davvero colpiti. Il cibo è ottimo, con un'ampia scelta di piatti che soddisfa tutti i gusti. Un aspetto molto positivo per noi è stato che il ristorante accetta animali, permettendoci di portare con noi il nostro cane senza problemi.
Il punto forte del ristorante è sicuramente la terrazza con una vista mozzafiato sulla valle, un ambiente che rende l'esperienza culinaria ancora più speciale. I prezzi sono in linea con quelli degli altri locali della zona e decisamente adeguati all'offerta di alta qualità.
Il vino che ci è stato servito era eccellente, accompagnando perfettamente i piatti scelti. Senza dubbio, Porta Venere diventerà un nostro riferimento per le cene future a Spello. Consigliatissimo!
