02/03/2025: I had never been there.....welcoming place...impressive the number and speed of people welcomed...very kind staff...excellent truffle tagliolini...but the highlight is the Chianina Florentine steak. ..truly another planet....if interested you can also buy both meat and cured meats...and the legendary cantucci...a highly recommended place and very easy to reach practically at the Barberino exit of the motorway.... we will be back for sure!!

08/03/2025: Several years ago we had tried some places in Barberino with friends for a legendary Fiorentina, and at Medici we had eaten very well, the Florentine was like butter and everything was very good. Unfortunately we went back and traveled quite a few miles to get there but this time it didn't go well, Florentine a little tender and a little hard without taste or aromas. Even the side beans were bland, a little sage and rosemary in the cooking would have made them tastier. We will have caught an undeserving Fiorentina among the many who will serve every day and evening. No this time we were not happy. If we then add the trifle made with whipped cream and the millefeuille made with sponge cake, no, we're not quite there. It's a shame but we won't give you another chance too many km to risk a mediocre Fiorentina. Learn to make desserts and select the Florentine steak better, you should be an expert by now. Oh forgot, let's also add the very high bill... Goodbye dear Da Medici

04/03/2025: I recommend this restaurant for both lunch and dinner for those who want to enjoy good meat or even excellent first courses, a slightly noisy environment, kind and super attentive staff, excellent food! Must try!

02/03/2025: I've been going there for a lifetime (20-25 years I think) to eat but it's been a while since I've been back, really disappointing compared to the past, service (in terms of timing) scandalous, food not bad but much worse than it used to be (both in quantity and quality), really high prices, when it's full and crowded even parking is difficult, the faded photocopy (better to say the mimeograph, for those who know what it is) of the Paiolo of the past :-(

26/11/2024: Trattoria/osteria tipica che mantiene il fascino rustico di un tempo e gestita dalla signora (credo) Paola che è di una squisitezza infinita. Abbiamo mangiato piatti della tradizione che non hanno nulla da invidiare alle tanto osannate e decantate portate gourmet. Antipasto con focaccia fritta ripiena di mortadella, pesto e pistacchi e come primo tortelli di patate con crema di parmigiano e guanciale croccante. Il gradimento di questi ultimi potrebbe essere riassunto con la frase inglese "something to die for!!". Torta di mele con crema calda e cantucci offerti con vin santo. Se potessi darei 10 stelle.
