12/10/2025: Il Pinone. A historic restaurant on Montalbano. The furnishings are a bit dated, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, offering a wonderful view. Traditional Tuscan cuisine with a meat and fish menu. Friendly and efficient service. This time we opted for the meat menu and took advantage of the availability of local porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious. The ingredients are treated with care. The wait times, considering the restaurant was full, were absolutely appropriate for freshly prepared dishes. Special mention goes to the desserts prepared by Ilenia. We were full, but we couldn't say no, and we were right. A delicious warm cheesecake, an exquisite chocolate mousse, and Ilenia even let us try her salted caramel brittle... Super! Absolutely excellent value. Then we sat on the terrace to eat like lizards. Ample parking under the pine trees. Great in the summer for a bit of cool air. I could have posted photos of the dishes, but you know, I won't. Why? Because you have to come. Enjoy your meal.

21/09/2025: A great lunch to celebrate my grandparents' birthday. The food was very well prepared. Excellent fried mushrooms, tortelli mugellani, and tagliatelle. Attentive and friendly service. Great for a Sunday lunch!

03/10/2025: Disturbingly Bad. Food was a complete disaster - Wine by the glass was literally undrinkable; We were out in five minutes, food and all. What a complete waste of money. We were the last to be served, truly, as they were about to close, but still, didn’t make us the favour of serving us with reheated food, and wine, which had been open for ages. Wasn’t even given a few minutes to at least ‘choose’, not that there was much to choose from, anyway. Do not even bother.

29/09/2025: Visited this osteria in Arezzo on a Monday, when many other restaurants were closed. The tagliata, a typical dish from Tuscany, was generous but average, with a lot of sinew. The waiter insisted on a huge bowl of pappa al pomodoro for antipasto despite my already large order. White beans were fine, though I expected green beans as contorno. Service was extremely poor, from a bearded male waiter wearing glasses of petite build who was so unfriendly for unknown reasons. Average food, unforgettably bad service.

11/09/2025: Reservations at this restaurant are unreliable. When I made a reservation two weeks in advance, they said they were looking forward to seeing me on the day. When I finally arrived after pushing my way through the crowds, I was told that although there was indeed a reservation, the kitchen was broken and they were closed, so I was unable to enter. I understand that they can't be open, but I wish they had called. There were elderly customers there, so it was very inconvenient.

17/07/2025: Non siamo clienti abituali, ma spesso abbiamo frequentato questo locale di indubbia bellezza, con tavoli immersi in un ampio e splendido giardino. In merito al Servizio, questo risulta eccellente con personale gentile e disponibile. Due cose hanno reso l ultima esperienza non proprio positiva, troppa politica affissa alle pareti e muri della hall del locale, che opinioni a parte, non suscitano simpatia in un luogo dove l'allegria e la spensieratezza dovrebbero dominare il cliente, ma questa è la mia opinione; antipasti piuttosto scarni e alcuni piatti di carne (di qualità comunque eccezionale), arrivavano un poco meno abbondanti del passato e piuttosto freddi. Comunque tornerò volentieri

22/06/2025: Tornati in questo ristorante d estate abbiamo notato una scortesia del personale. Forse troppi tavoli? Odore di fogna nel giardino. Peposo secco immangiabile. Tagliata nel piatto piena di sangue con una salsa di senape indescrivibile. Peccato. Per non parlare di primi anonimi.

17/07/2025: Ottimo ristorante immerso nelle campagne vicino Firenze. Atmosfera rilassante e piatti curati. La frittura è davvero eccellente. Servizio cordiale e prezzi giusti. Da provare!

11/05/2025: Un ristorante che avevo frequentato altre volte. Cambiato tutto !! Persone diverse e maleducate, cibo insapore, mal presentato, con ritardi inspiegabili. Ordiniamo 2 primi uguali, il primo piatto arriva, del secondo non c'è traccia per almeno 30 minuti. Non l'abbiamo toccato e ci è stato fatto pagare lo stesso con modi arroganti, maleducati e minacciosi. Evitate questo posto, È diventato pessimo.

Considering the prices, they're not giving you anything away. The service definitely needs improving. It's not an assembly line, but a place where you can enjoy food in complete tranquility. 30/08/2025: Mediocre food, terrible service, clearly overbooked. The guy with square glasses at the register was too lazy to let us split the bill, so he forced us to calculate our own totals. Something like this had never happened to me before, truly embarrassing. The frustration of being exploited and underpaid probably doesn't help, but the staff needs to be trained.

10/10/2025: My cousin and I waited decades to take this dream trip to Italy, having worked hard and raised our families as single mothers. Our first night in Florence was instantly and viciously ruined by the person who 'greeted' us. This individual was, without question, the most sexist, racist, and ignorant person I have ever encountered in the service industry—or anywhere else. ​We were treated with palpable hatred and contempt from the moment we walked in. The discrimination was so overt and aggressive that it felt like a deliberate attack. It was not merely bad service; it was an act of prejudice that left us shaken and deeply hurt. ​No customer, tourist, or human being deserves to be met with such disgusting bigotry. This establishment and the individual who represents it are a blight on the beautiful city of Florence and an absolute disgrace to the concept of hospitality. Save your money, and more importantly, save your dignity. Do not give your business to a place that sanctions such vile discrimination. PS, the bread was stale and tasteless, and we had to ask 3 times before we finally got some olive oil make it palatable. The rest of the food we had, the "primi", was mediocre. We never got a chance to try a secondi. We were told " we'll see how you do with the first course." He threw silverware on our table and never let us taste the wine before dumping it into our glasses. Perhaps he was just angry because he was a 64 year old "tennis pro" waiting tables in an overrated tourist trap.

31/05/2025: La cucina di Raffaele è sempre ottima, il filetto lardo pistacchio e pecorino e’ il suo piatto forte, i ragazzi in sala, Emanuele e Rebecca , sono sempre precisi e molto gentili, Pian di Laura Gourmet, una piccola oasi nelle campagne toscane

04/09/2025: I'd known the place for years but had never stopped in. Even though it wasn't on our agenda, we stopped in for a quick bite. We quickly learned it was under new management, managed by Albanians only a few months ago. The products looked inviting at first glance, and the schiacciata dough and pizza slices were good. We ordered two schiacciatas and three pizza slices, a small bottle of water, and a coffee for about €30. Definitely too much. The prices were high, and would have been justified if there had been table service, but instead they hand you a canteen-style tray and you go find a place to sit. I don't think I'll go back.
