05/04/2024: The place was pretty. Aesthetically pleasing with a botanical feel. The food was very strange. Definitely trying for a ‘foodie’ experience with small portions. But the textures, and flavors were not good. The gnocchi just tasted like a hash brown. The sea bass was way over cooked. The risotto was hard and over salted.

05/04/2024: Fiorentina steak is all over town, but you don't have to pay a fortune to eat it. Walking through the streets of Florence, we saw that the steak menu at this place was cheap and the portion of meat was a little smaller than what you usually see, something that interested us so as not to end up rolling.
It is highly recommended to have dinner here, it has a good atmosphere and the workers are friendly.

06/04/2024: A Florence must visit. It’s got a wild vibe. Great food as well.. and the best house wine 🍷 of our trip. The mushroom soufflé was exceptional - so insanely flavourful. Wild boar pappardelle was 👌. As was everything else. Book way in advance of your trip (esp for dinner).

06/04/2024: It was really a good dining experience. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to seat us within 30 minutes. The waiters were really helpful and gave excellent recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place if you want some really good and authentic food.
06/04/2024: We just had the most fantastic lunch at Que Ganzi. We ordered both pasta specials and they truly were special. The linguine with clams and bottarga had the finest, juiciest clams. The ravioli with duck sauce was so rich and flavorful. We asked Domenico, the owner (?) to recommend a wine and we had the most delicious Tuscan wine that was Merlot and Syrah grapes, not the usual Sangiovese. We bought a bottle to take home. Aside from delicious food and wonderful service, the prices are beyond reasonable. We highly recommend the dinner menu, also available Saturday and Sunday lunch. We also recommend the weekday lunch menu that has the same quality but at a very low price.

07/04/2024: Very Touristic. Below average bisteca, tasteless sides and slow service. It is better to avoid this place and try real Tuscan food elsewhere.
06/04/2024: Food was generally excellent. Service average. Atmosphere left a lot to be desired. We reserved in advance, like everyone else, and seating was pre done with names on table. The front section has tables between the wait staff area, bathroom and desk where the host sits answering the phone. For ~ 100 euro per person I wouldn't sit in that area. I'll be back in Florence soon but don't think I'd go back here unless I could guarantee not being stuck in the cheap seats (virtually all foreigners, mostly Asians, relegated to this area)
Based on atmosphere and service I'd say it's a bit over rated.

06/04/2024: Our second trip to Il Chianti...
We were there a few years ago, and remembered it well. 2nd time, we stayed outside Rome, and travelled especially to eat here.
Had the cheese & meat platter - which was delicious, artichoke pasta, and the arrabiatta pasta. Finished with the Tiramisu.
All was delicious

05/04/2024: The food here is molto buono. I’ve gone back several times since staying in the Oltrarno area. There is always a line to get in, so get there before it opens. With reduced size plates available I can handle a secondi when I’m solo. Mangia! 😋🐙🍷🍝

06/04/2024: I butteri is always a guarantee of good food and courtesy in service. Sometimes when it's very crowded you stand too close to other tables. Highly recommended for those who love meat
03/04/2024: A place specializing in meat that met expectations. Starter of mozzarella and raw ham with freshly cooked hot focaccia and then continue with a heart of rare steak. The quality of the meat meant that even if cooked rare it was not difficult to chew. Rating 7 1/2 I recommend it and I will return to try the first courses too.

06/04/2024: Trattoria 13Gobbi captures the essence of Tuscan cuisine with its cozy atmosphere and flavorful dishes. However, despite the delicious food, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, resulting in slow and inattentive service throughout our meal.
While the bruschetta and tagliatelle al ragù were exceptional, the lack of attention from the staff dampened the overall experience. It's a shame because the ambiance and food have the potential to create a memorable dining experience.
In conclusion, while Trattoria 13Gobbi offers authentic Italian cuisine, improvements in staffing and service are needed to truly elevate the dining experience.

The Florentine is 'spectino'...spectacular location within the castle walls.
Top staff..
Everything perfectly perfect! I highly recommend it.
