10/05/2026: EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! We've been frequenting Trapani and its downtown restaurants for some time now, and this is truly one of those that deserves to be among the top choices for its quality, kindness, and hospitality! We chose it again last night for a relaxing, quiet, and private outdoor dinner. Fresh ingredients, cooked with flavor and absolute lightness, bringing out only the true flavors of the region. The sardine meatballs and the asparagus and scampi risotto were excellent. Generous portions, like few others! The wine list was top-notch! The bill was balanced. For this reason, and to discover more, we'll be back soon! I was perhaps forgetting the most important characteristic of the owners (who are always present): excellent friendliness!

19/04/2026: La Trattoria del Sale is located near the Trapani salt pans. It offers excellent cuisine; the couscous with fried fish is truly amazing. The location is perfect for admiring the salt pans.

23/11/2025: We went on Saturday evening with friends, and we immediately found the kindness and hospitality very welcome. Since it was our first time, the waiter recommended it to us. What can I say about the impeccable food? The waiters were always attentive and, above all, always smiling, even when the rooms were full. We will definitely continue to go there. Recommended.

25/10/2025: Relaxed location with super tasty local food. Lots of fresh fish options, and the couscous was delicious. The restaurant is family run, and they are kind and the food arrives well timed. Would highly recommend for large groups or families and couples. They have a cosy outside space. Grazie per la bellissima serata!! ☺️

03/10/2025: We followed the advice in the Routard guide. The restaurant is now called Aurora, and we understand that it's a continuation of the previous one. In any case, the positive reviews still apply: it's very good, fresh, and reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed the bruschetta with fish and shrimp tartare, then the spaghetti alla vongole (delicious sauce!), and the pasta with tuna and bottarga. Several of the customers were island residents, which is a very good sign. Friendly service. Thank you very much!

18/09/2025: I ordered a portion of tuna with sweet and sour sauce. The portion was quite small, the sauce excellent - I had to wait for the bread that the staff forgot to bring; the tuna did not seem fresh...

04/06/2026: Wow, we never expected this pizza to blow us away. The toppings were incredibly creative (mashed potatoes, ham, rosemary or yellow tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, lemon zest). It cost around €12-14 (as of June 2026). There's a huge selection of wines by the bottle and a small list of wines by the glass. We were offered two wines to taste, and they even changed the glass after we'd chosen one. The tables were set with cloth napkins, and the front tables offered a view of the harbor. The interior was pleasantly air-conditioned. The only downside was that they didn't clear the table at the end. You get up and pay at the bar, as is often the case in Sicily. Definitely a highlight of an evening with excellent quality.

25/05/2026: On our first day, we popped in for a quick bite and drinks. Encouraged by what we found, we decided to return for my wife's birthday dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try anything. After a short wait for a table and the waiter showing us the right one, another 40 minutes for menus and an approach from anyone prompted us to leave. We turned out to be invisible and probably not a very attractive morsel for the staff, as there were only two of us, as the larger tables around us, even those that arrived later, were served without a problem. Attempts to contact the staff were unfortunately unsuccessful. It's a waste of time and hoping for a good day of service. I don't recommend this place.

23/04/2026: The owner is elusive and unkind. They recommended this restaurant to us, but we were very disappointed. The only positive note is its location in a small square in the old city.

13/04/2026: Very slow service and disappointing food. The portions were small and the price did not justify the cost.
