06/01/2025: Ho trascorso una serata piacevolissima in una cornice stupenda.Il locale é molto accogliente e il servizio degno di un ristorante stellato, senza però perdere la tipica cordialitá siciliana che ci contraddistingue. Piatti buoni e alcuni particolarmente interessanti, come gli spaghetti con anemoni di mare…una delizia! Vale la pena fare una sosta!

04/11/2024: Abbiamo trascorso una splendida serata alla Locanda di don Serafino, il ristorante stellato che non ti aspetti: cortesia, totale mancanza di affettazione, competenza ed attenzione per il cliente. Il locale e’ davvero suggestivo, le pietanze ricche, gustose ed esteticamente perfette, anticipate e completate da raffinate entree e piccola pasticceria di rara bontà’. Per finire una visita alla superlativa cantina. Consigliatissimo per trascorrere una serata in compagnia in una cornice davvero meravigliosa.

01/01/2025: WHERE IS THE RECEIPT? It's not the first starred restaurant I've frequented and this time I have to be disappointed. Very disappointing experience, at times rude. I won't be brief: - as soon as you sit down you are offered a glass of bubbles but the price is not specified and it is not written on the menu. We discover that they are not the classic "Welcome Glasses" because at the next table we instead hear the price. We therefore immediately feel scammed. In the end we will find €40 more on the bill (€20 per glass). Very bad behavior. - unfortunately many dishes did not have defined flavours, it was the first time that when tasting a mussel I did not taste it. - the service is embarrassing, we are asked for feedback on the pasta with sea urchins, which are also non-existent. At the moment of honestly expressing our opinion, we are interrupted by a waiter who rudely asks "you wanted two more strands of pasta, right? It wasn't much, right?". Um, no. In reality the problem was the tasteless sea urchin but he preferred to insinuate that our goal was to eat a lot, without understanding that the disappointment was about quality. Another waiter (the same one who casually failed to tell us the price of the initial glasses) asked us how the red mullet was, it's a shame that the tasting menu didn't include any red mullet but rather red snapper. I asked for more bread because the slice served initially wasn't enough to taste all the oil and butter. The answer was "we usually serve the remaining bread with the second courses, but if he wants it in advance" In practice, that slice should have been enough for the whole lunch and, rather than bring me another slice of bread, they took away the portion of butter. I felt very embarrassed honestly. Never anywhere had we denied me a slice of bread, essential among other things to taste the dishes of oil and butter. At the end of lunch they asked if we would like a coffee, ours was completely burnt, in fact my friend didn't drink it (€7 for a burnt coffee). - Last but not least: we pay cash and no receipt is issued. Only the waiter with the glasses knew what he was doing, the others were really embarrassing. In a two Michelin star hotel, seeing so much improvisation is depressing. The receipt then... loss of style without justification.

29/12/2024: We returned after several years, the experience this time was disappointing. We took the tasting menu, with 8 courses, a few days later, I don't remember one. Tasting of trattoria bread. The bathroom needs more careful management, and in any case the lack of attention to detail is evident in everything, from a starred restaurant I expect more attention, care, passion. The staff were friendly, but overall an unremarkable experience.

07/01/2025: This elegant cave restaurant provides beautiful selections of traditional dishes from the area, including pasta made from heirloom grains. The freshness of the ingredients really shines in dishes like L'Ammuru, a plate of local shrimp slightly marinated in fruit juices, and the Pasta co fumo, made from grano antico siciliano and served with mildly smoked sea bass. Other stand outs: the ricotta ravioli with pistachio pesto, the freshest mixed salad (the finocchio intense and crackling) and an excellent cannolo with marsala cream. The rich wine list offers many excellent Sicilian labels. Coffee is perfect.

05/01/2025: Extraordinary, a girl who spoke Spanish served us, we went and it was full and she gave us a table in 30 minutes. The food was good and she was super friendly, just for the attention of a person like that the places are worth it. Many thanks for everything

01/01/2025: Surprisingly, our best meal of our trip. We were here on New Year's Day and we unsure due to other reviewers. Lovely ambiance, house wine was excellent (for the price of course) and the food itself was perfect. We will be back when next in Ragusa!

03/01/2025: We had a remarkable visual, olfactory and gustatory experience. It was our first time in this place that they recommended to us, so we looked at the tasting menus, which despite the low price turned out to be absolutely valuable, right in quantity and balanced in their often surprising flavours. Special mention for the ancient grain bread made by a master baker of great skill. Polite and attentive service, each course explained in its characteristics. Finally, not to be overlooked, the atmosphere: discreet, relaxing background music, the right accompaniment for a classy dinner.

01/01/2025: We went for dinner on New Year's Eve. Table in an uncomfortable and cold location (near the emergency exit) and ignored customer reports. Fluctuating food quality. Some good dishes (marsala egg and pumpkin tortello), but many poorly balanced or conceptually questionable (rosti with croaker, dark gnocco). Some served cold or late (fry and suckling pig after midnight). Desserts rated terrible. Slow, disorganized and superficial service, with excessive waiting times An unsatisfactory experience, justified only in part by the frenetic context of New Year's Eve. The second star only for the bread and oil, exquisite.

Because of the excellent food and the friendly and warm manner of Arianna, the owner, my husband and I came here very often during our vacation. An absolute experience! And we will vacation here again, directly in Ragusa Ibla, just so we can eat at Arianna's twice a day - we are really looking forward to that!! Thank you so much, Arianna!!

22/12/2024: Lo conosco da più di 40 anni, e raramente quando ci vado rimango sempre soddisfatto. È unico nel suo genere. Caratteristico con pezzi esposti antichi. Sembra di essere ospiti in una casa, in una famiglia, con cucina casereccia e sana. Prezzi molto buoni di buon rapporto con la qualità delle pietanze. Accoglienza e pulizia.😊😉

09/09/2024: We are looking for a cool restaurant, 40 degrees felt at the beginning of September, that's a lot for Normans like us. We stopped here. Friendly staff, we asked for something to eat in the fridge so we were seated downstairs, with cool air conditioning required. The dishes are very good and the prices are reasonable. A bit of a wait that said but we are on vacation after all.
