08/07/2025: Durante un reciente viaje a Sicilia y las Islas Eolias, cenamos en cuatro restaurantes con estrellas Michelin y Don Serafina en Ragusa fue, con diferencia, el más destacado. Excelente comida, servicio y un entorno precioso. No pudimos encontrarle ninguna pega y el personal estuvo atento sin ser demasiado. Una experiencia verdaderamente memorable y en nuestra opinión ¡Don Serafina merece tener dos estrellas Michelin!

When we walked in, there was a sewage smell, but it went away very quickly. Not sure what it was.
The service is a mixed bag. The lady that looked after our table was great. The short guy with dark hair at the front desk was rude when we walked in, but he was fine on our way out. The sommelier is kind of grumpy. It’s a shame, hence I am giving them a four stars and I hope they will read this review.

03/08/2025: The two of us who took the pigeon-with-oyster course both got food poisoning. Otherwise the food is about a 7/10 execution of Sicilian haute cuisine. The service is very hurried at the end if you reserve for 9pm (if you want to do the full tasting menu make sure to book for 8pm or earlier).The sommelier made a poor recommendation and served a wine with serious volatile acidity issues.

09/08/2025: Very good, top-quality food and second-to-none service. We ate here three times in our 10-day vacation, and the food was always excellent. Spaghetti Vongole, if on the daily menu, is highly recommended. Friendly and fast service. 10/10!

It's a shame we ate outside (and rightly so, in the summer) and couldn't enjoy the beautiful interior!

23/07/2025: We stopped by Ragusa Ibla specifically to try their cuisine, and every expectation was not only confirmed, but exceeded! An intimate, contemporary-style restaurant perfectly nestled inside an old residence reminiscent of the old Sicilian "putie." The staff was professional, extremely kind, and helpful! The dishes were sublime; above all, I loved the brioche bread with sea bass and the pasta with sardines. The ingredients, of course, were top-quality. Thanks to all the staff and the chef. This style of cuisine allows you to eat well without spending a fortune, bringing a smile to even those who can't afford to spend a fortune. Highly recommended! I hope to return soon!

02/08/2025: Una piacevole sorpresa a Ragusa Ibla! Locale davvero delizioso, ben arredato, pulito e con un’atmosfera tranquilla. Menù molto invitante, qualità del cibo ottima, servizio rapido, cortese e attento. Grande attenzione (e pazienza!) nei confronti dei bambini. Pizze squisite, caciocavallo alla griglia favoloso, salumi, bruschettone… tutto buonissimo e ben presentato.
Un plauso speciale va… alla pulizia dei bagni! Siamo arrivati a fine serata ma erano davvero puliti e profumati, davvero un ottimo biglietto da visita.
Torneremo!

Friendly and courteous staff and a very intimate atmosphere.
12/08/2025: Spaghetti with sea urchins was fabulous.
Grilled octopus accompanied by a turmeric puree, an original and tasty dish.
Fried cod was average (considering the restaurant's name, a more varied cod menu would be appropriate).
Sicilian cassata was good.
The prosecco was also good.

26/07/2025: I'm in Scicli at this restaurant and I have to admit that the quality/price ratio is truly excellent. I must thank the waitress Stefania, who never showed any bad behavior, even when I did everything I could to annoy her. Thanks go to the chef Gianna, who was very willing to make a change to a gnocchi dish, which she kindly replaced with rice. WELL DONE, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
13/07/2025: While visiting Scicli and the well-known locations of the legendary Montalbano series, we stumbled upon a restaurant located right in front of his office (Montalbano's, I mean) inside the town hall.
Given the time, our hunger, and above all the truly excellent prices, we decided to eat there. What can I say...it was delicious: fresh fish cooked to perfection, filling, plus side dishes and fresh salads. And to finish, delicious cannoli and lemon jelly. 😋😋😋
In short, we were completely satisfied. We highly recommend it to everyone.

07/07/2025: Dinner with friends on the occasion of my wedding anniversary. Family welcome, relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant immersed in the Modica countryside. The artisanal salmon ravioli were delicious, the pasta with tenerumi with an ancient flavor, excellent as always the mixed fried fish.
The surprise of the cake purchased on the spur of the moment from the restaurant owner without our knowledge was appreciated.
A beautiful evening with the family.

22/07/2025: Disappointment after a four-year wait
After four years, I enthusiastically returned to this restaurant, driven by fond memories. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations.
I ordered a meat appetizer, grilled spaghetti with tomato sauce, and a cannoli. The appetizer included several dishes, all very similar in flavor: a dish that seemed assembled more to increase the bill than to surprise the palate. The spaghetti, although well cooked and with an interesting aroma, was completely lacking in flavor.
The dessert was the biggest disappointment: the cannoli, along with the other desserts, seemed to have just come out of a supermarket package. Nothing that reminded me of the authenticity and care of the home cooking I had so appreciated years ago.
In the end, the only thing that remained truly "salty" was the bill. What a shame.
