20/08/2026: Really good food, meat cuts that melted in your mouth, fish cuts, seafood salad, breaded scallops and spaghetti allo scoglio. This is what I tried and it was truly delicious, not to mention the friendliness, kindness and friendliness of the staff, especially the lady. Fair price.

16/08/2026: A new experience at this restaurant, in a few words...1000 with honors...they deserve pages in the newspapers for the quality...service, friendliness, and superb food. A unique evening, spectacular and well-cooked dishes, everything deserves an A+. The fish was cooked to perfection, a little attention to the salt in the spaghetti with clams—I repeat, clams, not lupini beans—and we tasted the perfection of the scialatielli, perfect mussels Taranto-style, pure wonder, and the seafood salad worthy of the name. 24/07/2026: We visited Pizzeria Jari on the evening of 24 July, arriving at dinner time, after hearing a piece of advice from a close friend: "if you find a traditional Italian pizzeria that looks like it hasn't changed much since the 1980s, with simple décor and checked tablecloths, you're often in for a great meal". Our hotel receptionist added another tip, to check the price of a Margherita. If it's around €5–6 rather than €10 or more, you're probably in a place that caters to locals rather than tourists. Pizzeria Jari ticked both boxes, so we decided to give it a try. Although we arrived during what is usually a busy dinner time, the restaurant was fairly quiet and we were seated immediately. Our dog was welcomed without hesitation, and the English speaking staff kindly offered him some water. The menu was available in English, with several daily specials alongside the regular menu. We ordered a Buffalo Margherita, a Marinara, a Rustica, one of the specials with Brie and aubergine, water, two Cokes, an aperitif, a local artisan beer, and two salted caramel panna cottas with one single espresso (it was a excellent Italian coffee). Every pizza was truly outstanding. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the dough and sauce was beautifully prepared. After trying several restaurants in Bologna, this was by far the best we experienced. What truly sets Pizzeria Jari apart for us, however, is the atmosphere. The restaurant is clearly run by a family, and you can feel it from the moment you walk in. The service was warm, genuine and attentive without ever feeling forced. It felt like being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply eating at a restaurant. Then came the bill. Just under €85 for four fantastic tasty pizzas, drinks, desserts (best panna cota with hot salted caramel sauce we have ever eaten) and an espresso. Considering the quality of the food, the generous hospitality and everything we ordered, it represented exceptional value for money. In a city famous for its incredible food, Pizzeria Jari was a true shining star for us. It combines authentic, absolutely fairly priced food with heartfelt hospitality, creating an experience we'll remember long after our trip to Bologna. We wouldn't hesitate to return, and we'll happily recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic local pizzeria away from the tourist crowds. Grazie mille!

07/08/2026: Nice restaurant/wine bar on the outskirts of Bologna! A simple menu featuring Sicilian dishes; the lasagna was exquisite. Only the tiramisu was a bit disappointing; it hadn't set enough in my opinion. The service was very friendly and professional. Besides the food, they also had lovely wines. The owner gave good advice regarding the wines to pair with the food and knew what she was talking about. I will definitely come back; highly recommended!

11/05/2026: Small restaurant serving traditional Sicilian cuisine. The place is well-maintained and softly lit. The staff is very kind and attentive. The menu isn't overly extensive and varied, with both fixed dishes and seasonal options. The dishes were generous, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything was delicious. The ingredients were top-quality. We ate very well and I'm very satisfied. The prices are reasonable for what's on offer. Highly recommended!

21/06/2026: A nice place, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu isn't extensive, but it offers a decent selection of sophisticated wines. The wine list that evening was announced verbally and limited to just two white wines, though I'd glimpsed something else. We enjoyed what we ate; a couple of dishes were more special than others, but overall, it was good for the price (via the fork), but full price was perhaps a tad too high, and therefore not 5-star.

03/05/2026: A restaurant for seafood lovers only. A local restaurant with the charm of the area, but this results in a limited menu focused almost entirely on seafood. They accommodated gluten-free dishes, but there were no pasta or pizza options. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was peaceful.

02/08/2026: We found it by chance. They let us into the restaurant shortly after 7, even though they don't open until 7:30. The menu is relatively small but sufficient. The quality of the food, however, is first-class. The staff is extremely attentive and the prices are reasonable. Only the air conditioning could be a bit stronger. Otherwise, a perfect evening. They even had non-alcoholic beer, which doesn't seem to be readily available everywhere in Bologna.

18/06/2025: Ottimo ristorante, che in tanti anni ha sempre mantenuto una qualità altissima sia delle materie prime che delle preparazioni. Cucina originale siciliana, semplice e di altissimo livello. Servizio cordiale e attento. Uno dei posti nei quali io e la famiglia ritorniamo sempre con grande piacere.

05/06/2025: Excellent Sicilian restaurant in Bologna. Very good octopus with potatoes, not your average octopus. Then the stuffed squid, which is like a journey to Sicily. A feast for the palate. Good sparkling rosé wine by the glass. Excellent lemon sorbet with mint. Delicious and hard-to-find Zibibbo Passito (flavors I haven't tasted in 15 years). The place has a perfect, relaxing atmosphere with jazz music. The owner, Attilio, is exceptionally kind.

19/05/2026: You can't go wrong with Francesco. I've known him for over 25 years, and he's nailed it! Beautiful location, clean, simple, and you feel right at home. The food is spectacular, high-quality and perfectly cooked, even the bread is top-notch. We all had fish dishes, as you can see in the photos. What can I say... A true spectacle! 🤙 Recommended to everyone!
