Perfect for a lunch break, based on fish but not only, excellent first courses, try the spaghetti alla norma, seasoned with aubergines and provola.

After too many meat-heavy meals, I was in the mood for something lighter - so this Sicilian seafood place seemed perfect - although it's not just seafood, they have other things too. The swordfish in olive and tomato sauce that the waiter recommended was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The sides were disappointing though: the artichoke was mushy and bland, and the bread was stale. That said, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was relaxed and there was no problem getting a table without a reservation on a Sunday evening.

Excellent, high-quality fish, incredibly fresh—it's hard to find better in Bologna. You have to settle for the ambiance, but if you're like me, and you don't care, then stop by—it's worth it.

La Cambusa is one of my favorite places here in Bologna. It serves simply cooked but very, very good fish. Special mention goes to the service and the always welcoming atmosphere.

29/03/2026: The best Food of Bologna we had during our Trip. But be aware: It is sicilian cuisine. The owners are really nice, had good recommendations and were really friendly. Definitivly a worthy visit.
