The quality of ingredients and attention to detail make this a must-visit spot.
What we enjoyed:
•Pane Carasau with Olive Oil: Crispy and light, the perfect start to the meal.
•Cavolfiore Soup: A velvety cauliflower soup topped with savory sausage and herbs – comforting and full of flavor.
•Seasonal Vegetable Millefeuille: Layers of flatbread with grilled zucchini, peppers, eggplant, and ricotta – vibrant, fresh, and beautifully presented.
•Creamy Bean Purée with Sausage: Hearty and balanced, with a velvety texture and perfectly seasoned sausage.
•Culurgiones: A standout dish! These traditional Sardinian dumplings filled with potato, pecorino, and mint, topped with a drizzle of olive oil and crushed nuts, were delicate and absolutely delicious.

What didn’t hit the mark:

12/12/2024: I have been visiting Cagliari assiduously for four years for work and the only restaurant that has never betrayed my expectations is Sa Domu Sarda. Furthermore, it has never made me look bad to friends who have come to visit me here. Very recommended. P.S. after 4 years I also had the pleasure of meeting the chef and you can see that he loves his cooking and puts a lot of passion into it (things that are reflected in the dishes).

19/11/2024: Un bel locale in zona Castello, tradizionale, con un servizio eseguito da ragazzi giovani preparati e accoglienti. La cucina è tipicamente sarda, di alto livello. Piatti curati ed eseguiti utilizzando materia prima ottima. Ho cenato a base di carne. La pancia di maiale è vero ma delizia che non potete non provare!
17/11/2024: Tavolata di amici, abbiamo ordinato un antipasto, un primo a testa, vino, dolce e caffè, nessun secondo, conto 71€ a persona. Per un ristorante stile trattoria mi sembra eccessivo visto la materia prima utilizzata per dei primi e gli antipasti. Il vino, bottiglia da 12€ al supermercato venduta a 38€.

01/09/2024: Ci siamo stati 2 volte in una settimana, la prima volta abbiamo atteso davvero tanto l’arrivo delle pietanze, ma il gusto di quanto ordinato (mix di tartare di pesce, e 2 primi tagliolini al nero, spaghetti con bisque di gambero e 2 turamisciù) ci ha fatto mettere da parte la snervante attesa.
Tanto è vero che siamo ritornati la seconda volta, scegliendo un orario differente. È inutile dire che anche la seconda volta siamo rimasti contentissimi della scelta! Per me si classifica al primo posto di tutti i ristoranti della zona e se devo dirla tutta anche di altre zone della Sardegna.
Il personale è composto da tutti giovani, molto cordiali e professionali! I miei complimenti a tutti!
30/08/2024: Sono venuto qui il mio ultimo giorno di vacanza per godermi per l'ultima volta i sapori sardi. Qui ci veniamo ogni anno e non ci delude mai.
C'erano tante scelte dagli antipasti di terra e di mare, ai primi, ai secondi e per i più piccoli anche il menù baby.
La cosa più buona di questo ristorante è il pesce, pescato da loro il giorno stesso: Squisito.
Di primo abbiamo preso:dei ravioli ripieni con pecorino in salsa con panna e sugo, dei tagliolini col nero di seppia e bottarga e una pasta con rapa e pecorino. Era tutto buono.
Di secondo io ho preso un fritto misto con totani, calamari, seppie, un polpo, pesciolini e gamberi: il paradiso, buono e abbondante, e gli altri hanno preso la seppia e il pescato del giorno, di preciso la triglia. Per finire un caffè e via.
Il cibo era ottimo, il servizio impeccabile, erano gentili: ti spiegavano tutto e ti davano degli ottimi consigli. Sono anche veloci a portare il cibo. Bravi bravi. Consigliatissimo

25/08/2024: I had dinner at the Ulivi with a group of friends and unfortunately the experience was not the best. I have been coming to this part of Sardinia every year for at least twenty years and no Sardinian dinner I have taken part in has been of such a low standard.
These were the following courses.
Starters: fried (courgettes, peppers, aubergines), various cured meats and cheeses, caponata, a sort of local cheese/ricotta
First courses: malloreddu and ravioli (with ricotta and saffron filling)
Second course: suckling pig with potatoes and sheep
Desserts: seadas, panna cotta, chocolate cake.
Let's start with the fried foods: bland, inside (courgettes, aubergines and peppers) raw not to mention CRISPY and doughy breading.
Tasteless and mostly raw caponata.
Local cheese too "acidic".
Plate of cold cuts and cheeses acceptable in taste but not in quantity.
First courses: the saddest malloreddu in history. Cold, pale, tasteless, with inedible sausage and watery gravy.
Cold and poorly cooked (raw) ravioli, filled with ricotta and saffron, savage in taste.
Second: suckling pig. Without praise and without infamy.
Back of salt and springs in the outermost parts where greater crunchiness would be appreciated.
Overall some pieces were edible (it's still pork) others were RAW. I forgot the potatoes for the suckling pig...maybe it's for the best.
Desserts: RAW Seadas (but how is it made?) and I won't say anything else.
Rock hard chocolate cake.
The Crème caramel was (perhaps) passable, even if I don't understand the double handful of unnecessary almonds to garnish everything.
Total cost €40 per person. I hadn't been to this place for years but comforted by new positive reviews I wanted to try it again.
I would say that sometimes it's better not to backtrack.
I close with a classic. “I didn't give zero stars just because there wasn't the option to do so.”

07/12/2024: I hope to be of help to everyone and with great sincerity I tell you that if you are in Cagliari you must stay at the Hotel Italia. Central, beautiful because in addition to being a beautiful hotel that place becomes special thanks to the people at the reception like Alessandro Atzori and all those good boys and girls who belong to it. It feels like being with family because you are welcomed by special people like Alessandro Atzori and his colleagues who will always welcome you with a smile and make you feel at home and in the family. Very central and this is not a detail because you don't need a car because the beautiful hotel in Cagliari offers everything not to mention the excellent breakfasts they make available. A special thank you to all of you from those who have been frequenting your hotel for twelve years unfortunately for work but for those of you who go on holiday don't waste time looking for other facilities because like the Hotel Italia you won't find it. Thank you Alessandro Atzori, thank you to all of you wonderful people at the reception. With great gratitude Luca.
15/11/2024: Hotel in a strategic position in the center of Cagliari. The structure is a little dated, but it is excellently maintained and for this reason it has its charm. My room, clean and tidy, had a recently renovated bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff, fair price. I would go back

29/08/2024: Piccolo agriturismo nel mezzo della campagna sarda di Villaputzu. Menu’ prestabilito con piatti della tradizione sarda, tra cui un sacco di antipasti con formaggi di capra e pecora di propria produzione, pasta e il famoso porceddu, tutto preparato con genuinità e sapori autentici. Non mancano i dolci e una sorpresa finale 😅
Cibo abbondante con possibilità di portare a casa quelli che non si riesce a mangiare. Il tutto con 40 euro a persona. Il proprietario, che serve ai tavoli, molto gentile e attento ai bambini. Il nostro ha mangiato una pasta che non ci è stata conteggiata.
