13/06/2025: Who’s writing these reviews?! Did we go to the same place? This is essentially Olive Garden in Italy. Have you Alfredo pasta and baked potatoes surrounded by zero Italians. The service is bad. The food is very bad. The drinks are tasty but this isn’t a bar. There’s so many other places to eat in Rome, let this be the review you believe

13/06/2025: There was 4 of us looking for a nice restaurant for our last night in Rome. I found this one - excellent rating. When we eventually found it, we had to queue for about 10 minutes, then seated down the side of the restaurant (first reaction was that it seemed out of the way). We all ordered our meals and drinks, my husband got his first (a pizza), then about a minute or two later, spaghetti bolognese arrived for one of our friends. About 2 minutes more, my mushroom ravoli appeared. We were still waiting for one meal (beef steak strips) - that appeared 12 minutes after the first dish had arrived at the table. The steak was requested to be medium, and it appeared to be rare to medium rare - accompaniments of potatoes and rice were cold. My husband complained a couple of times and the wait staff seemed afraid of confront. But after asking for the bill, we noticed that the steak and a dessert had been comped. Definitely won't be going back, if we go back to Rome.

06/06/2025: We had lovely dinner here with friends, mostly locals were there. The waitress was very nice and told us the history of this place. Food was on the level and their homemade wine was just excellent. All in all recommend this place for a good vibe and nice food.

17/05/2025: Far from the crowded tourist streets, da Lucia offers authentic Roman cuisine at reasonable prices. The service is very good. There are tables both indoors and outdoors. The menu is available in both Italian and English. There is parking on the surrounding streets. The place is accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is best to make a reservation as the place is relatively small.

13/04/2025: Classic restaurant of good Roman tradition, well-kept and with attentive and discreet staff. Well-made dishes that reflect the typical Roman cuisine. Prices appropriate to the offer.

22/01/2025: We last visited 22 years ago so we arrived with trepidation - had it changed from wonderful memories to dreadful reality? Not at all - food was glorious, service was perfect, everyone was there. We loved it all over again. A perfect Rome restaurant.

16/06/2025: Très agréablement surpris de trouver cette très bonne adresse dans ce quartier, la clientèle locale ne s’y trompe pas, elle vient nombreuse. La cuisine est assez élaborée, le service attentionné et les prix raisonnables.

30/03/2025: Cena con famiglia. Ordinati 4 primi: 2 carbonare, 1 tonnarello cacio e pepe e un’amatriciana… tutti talmente salati che sembravano cotti nell’acqua di mare! Sicuramente non assaggiati dal cuoco. Impossibile finire la portata. Mai più.

06/03/2025: Era un po che nn andavo penso che sia cambiato qualcosa in cucina ' abbiamo preso delle fettuccine con guanciale e carciofi era immangiabile poi i prezzi esagerati znche il servizio nn e quello di prima forse una giornata nooo maa , anche le pizze piccolissime. Molto Negativa l'esperienzaaaaa

18/02/2025: El tiempo era terrible y Nafplio era tranquilo, pero Cucurucu tiene un ambiente muy acogedor con la decoración y la iluminación. También tuvimos una gran reproducción de música que nos ayudó a relajarnos.

26/05/2025: Typical family-run restaurant, good artichokes alla giudia, I had a very good matriciana, my husband an excellent carbonara, saltimbocca alla romana, very tender meat and to finish an exceptional zabaglione mousse, we will definitely return!

29/03/2025: I came on holiday to Rome to enjoy some of the city's typical cuisine. We ordered 3 first courses and one second course. The pasta was al dente, but edible. Immediately afterwards the same dishes were served to another table, with significantly larger portions than ours. The place is a bit shabby, the plaster on the ceiling is peeling off with the risk of it ending up on the plates.

29/03/2025: Without praise without infamy I didn't eat badly, on the contrary but I didn't eat well either, a mediocre honest neighborhood restaurant that all in all I recommend.

26/05/2025: Honestly it's a place for tourists! Average food and little cleaning paper tablecloths and they charge you for the cover. I ate much better in Rome!

14/05/2025: We ordered rice with seafood, waited for more than 1 hour (the longest wait in my experience), and this was with an empty restaurant. The portions were not small, but the shells of the mollusks were almost all empty. The situation was saved by squid rings and a little octopus. Overall, the dish was so-so, not tasty and expensive for such execution. I do not recommend!

03/06/2025: Second time "Dar Bottarolo", appetizer, two first courses, second course and side dish, all ok but the €22.90 promo said you could eat and drink anything, instead drinks were separate, coffee separate, dessert separate so not as written on Facebook

02/06/2025: Unfortunately I didn't know that the place had changed management and I went, I'm sorry but the new management is a flop, the food is really, really bad....

25/05/2025: Tutto di qualità e servizio eccellente, era il compleanno di mio nonno e il proprietario gli ha regalato una bottiglia di vino con annesso disegno e dedica FANTASTICI

25/04/2025: Locale molto piccolo serviti con tavolo con panca( erano meglio le sedie), un po' lenti nel servizio , attese troppo lunghe ( le ragazze che servivano i clienti erano bravissime e gentili , solo troppo poco personale , carico di lavoro notevole).Cibo molto buono e di qualità....prezzo giusto.

30/03/2025: To flee! The waiter makes a mistake when taking your order, serves you the wrong dishes and refuses any discussion of exchanges. Ultimately my partner didn't even eat because they refused to change her risotto which she didn't order!

01/06/2025: Terrible, non-existent service, I had to get up from the table 4 times to ask for water, wine, second courses and side dishes, terrible quality of food. An experience never to be repeated.

21/05/2025: Excellent Roman cuisine. With the all you can eat formula you have the possibility to taste different things and leave full and even more. Very kind waiters available and friendly. A truly pleasant evening

01/06/2025: It pains me to be critical, but this was not good. This was our last meal in Italy and I found myself thinking that I regret this place is my last meal in Italy. When I saw the embroidered napkins, I felt like this is a restaurant that has pride, but the service was bad, the food was not up to par. I just came in from Ischia where the restaurants were exceptional, the service was super attentive, and they had Pride in their work. The problem here is, despite the embroidered napkins, people did not have Pride in their work or a wanting to be exceptional. There needs to be a structural fix in mindset, then things will fall into place. Good luck.

13/06/2025: Sono rimasto deluso dalla mia esperienza in questa pizzeria. Ho ordinato la “Pizza Carbonara” e mi è arrivata una pizza bianca con 3-4 fettine di qualcosa simile al bacon e, al centro, un uovo intero semplicemente aperto e cotto: una presentazione davvero discutibile e molto lontana dall’idea di una carbonara. Personalmente ho provato anche in altre pizzerie la pizza carbonara e mi è sempre arrivata una pizza con la crema ben fatta. Il menu fisso da 23€ a persona, che include un antipasto di fritti, una pizza e una bevanda piccola, mi è sembrato decisamente caro rispetto alla qualità e quantità complessiva del cibo. La pizza era pesante e poco digeribile. A peggiorare ulteriormente la serata, durante la notte ho avuto un forte bruciore di stomaco, tanto da non riuscire a dormire. Purtroppo, non posso consigliare questo posto, né per la qualità né per il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

28/05/2025: Quando posso vado in questo ristorante, sono molto cordiali e veloci, il cibo è ottimo, posto tranquillo , ieri sono andata e ho trovato la serata Karaoke, mi sono divertita tantissimo .
