18/06/2025: We were looking for good restaurants online and found Antica Boheme. The inside of the restaurant was decorated with lots of photos which made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The server was friendly, the food came quickly and tasted amazing. We‘re glad we came here and if we‘re ever in Rome again, we‘ll know where to eat!

10/06/2025: TL;DR: Plan your way back ahead! this is worth every effort! Don't miss it! They all speak perfect english. Rome was in absolute mayhem when we visited-Champions League madness, Circus Maxus closed, buses canceled, and massive protests blocking streets. After fighting through the chaos in a taxi to Via Appia Antica, we stepped into what felt like another world. The owner greeted us with warmth and humor, setting the tone for the evening. Unlike the hectic city center, the terrace was serene-it was just our table and one other-making it the perfect escape. Ignore any negative reviews claiming this place feels "artificial." The owner's passion is real, from the way he shares stories (like the history behind the ancient cheese spread) to how he happily accommodates special requests we both had. This isn't a tourist gimmick-it's a genuine love for reviving Rome's forgotten flavors and sharing his passion with the guests. The food? Extraordinary. The tomato-less lasagna (straight from Apicius' ancient recipes) was so good I wished I had another plate. Must-try: The ancient wine pairing-it elevates the whole experience. Sadly I orded it after the food. Every dish came with a tale, transporting us further back in time. As our last night in Rome, this wasn't just dinner to wrap things up-it was the perfect finale, a true cherry on top. We recommend the place to everyone that comes to rome and is interested in a little historical time travel. But i advice everyone to plan their way back in advance as it is far out and public transport tends to become unreliable towards midnight!

08/06/2025: This is the most adorable restaurant off the famous Via Appia Antica. The service was always with a smile and very friendly. The food was delicious and served hot. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday at lunch around 1pm. Don’t let the 150m walk down the driveway discourage you. Go, you will not be disappointed!

13/05/2025: This is the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of visiting in Rome, the food is delicious and the tiramisu is the best I have ever eaten in my life. The service is wonderful and if I am in Rome again I will definitely come back here. I will miss this food in Poland.

30/06/2025: I told a female server that the pasta she brought out was undercooked — the center was still hard. She immediately dismissed me and said, “That’s impossible. All our food is fully cooked.” I said “But it’s still hard.”Then she added, “This is a you problem, not our problem.” I swear this is what she said verbatim. I was shocked. I asked for her name, and she replied, “You don’t need to know my name. I’m not telling you.” I asked if there was any need to speak to a customer like that, and she just ignored me, whispered the b-word at me, mouthing it silently without sound. I asked, “Are you calling me a b?” and she completely ignored me, turned away to answer the phone, and avoided eye contact on purpose. The rest of the food was okay, but I genuinely don’t understand how this kind of behavior is acceptable. If you’re a tourist and happen to get a dish that isn’t to your liking or you just want to ask a question — this is the kind of response you might get. Be careful.

10/06/2025: Trattoria recommended to me on the subway by a gentleman sitting next to me. We ate fabulous linguine with lobster. Too bad I met him before leaving Rome, because I would have appreciated something else, next time I'll come when I arrive. Recommended

08/06/2025: I love this place, I always want to eat fish when I'm in Rome, I only go there. Their first courses are abundant and delicate in flavor, cooked well. The buffet appetizer is excellent, but if you want to be spoiled you have to try the imperial. It is difficult to find parking, so be careful and it is better to book if you go during "peak" times because this restaurant is very popular.

05/07/2025: The cuisine is worth the detour, both for the quality of the dishes and the selection. The staff is attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful time.

04/07/2025: Ordered the Picanha steak, sea bass and lamb rack. Picanha steak was absolutely divine, tender with a nice balance of lean meat and fat. Seasoned to perfection, with a a savoury char grill taste which was the icing on the cake. Lamb racks were also very tender, overall very pleasant. Sea bass was great too, but was covered with scales. It could be a local practice to not remove them? Not sure. Overall, the meal was probably the best we had in Rome, only comment is that the portion size for the lamb and sea bass could have been a bit bigger.

30/06/2025: I can't give any evaluations because it was closed at the moment, I can only say that from the outside it is very characteristic, however the whole village is characteristic.

18/06/2025: I had already been there last year. The prices are in line with the less touristy area. Paper placemats, informal service. The first courses are better than the second courses. Good Gricia (even if the pepper was barely noticeable), small but good courgette flowers, a bit bland tripe with little pecorino cheese, the saltimbocca dry and hard. Since last year it seems that the quality has dropped. 1 appetizer 1 first course 2 second courses and 1 side dish, half a litre of wine and 1 water 58 euros (obviously without a receipt)...

30/06/2025: We went to this place for dinner, it was recommended to us and we actually ate very well. Excellent typical Roman cuisine, friendly staff and clean environment.

18/06/2025: Gave this spot a try based on the reviews we saw on Google. Antipasti dishes were tasty and our pasta was excellent. The lasagna and amatriciana were particularly delicious. The place was pretty busy and the staff were hustling to take care of all the patrons. I took a couple stars off because we were pressured to leave a tip. Something I don't mind doing, especially when service and food are good, but I've never been asked outright for a tip.

18/06/2025: I really liked this restaurant, which I discovered by chance. The atmosphere isn't glamorous, the decor is simple (they're currently undergoing renovations, so perhaps an improvement in that area is coming) BUT the food definitely won me over, to the point where I made it my go-to restaurant for my entire stay in Rome.
